    I would call this a “deep dive” into the Suzuki series. I like the approach. Much appreciated.

    I'm sorry. I'm really a very beginning beginner. When you're playing do you choose your own fingerings, and changing strings and up bowing or down bowing or is cello music different in that it tells you when to bow up or down or what string to use when so it flows thru the whole piece. Can you answer that?

      I know this is 10 months late... But I just saw this video and thought I would reply to this :)
      The way you figure out if the bow goes down or up is by looking at the symbols on the score. The "hat" on top of a note means that you would do a downwards bow stroke (Down meaning your arm moving to the right). If the symbol looks like a "V" then that means up-bow (So your arm towards the cello).
