Thanks for the clear explanation on the waistband, it helped me realize that a skirt I thought I messed up on, can still be corrected, because I should have done the waistband separate.
Thank you so much! I love how you take the time to explain clear and detailed, step by step instructions. I don't need to keep replaying each segment like a lot of the tutorials I've watched! I really appreciate it!!😊
Excelente video. Se entiende muy bien. Hablas claro y aunque hablo muy poquito inglés, entiendo la mayoría de la explicación. Las imágenes del video son muy claras. Muchas gracias
Just subscribed. I was searching how to sew an elastic waistband with drawstrings and found this site. Your instructions are so simple and easy to follow. Thank you!
OMGGG these look like they're from the store!! Deffs can't wait to make these because sweats from the store never fit me right, this vid is super helpful!!
New sub here 🙋🏽♀️ thank you for this, first video I clicked on when searching. My kiddo wants me to make her her own sweatpants etc and this helps sooooo much 😊
Trying my own from scratch and doing my own pattern. Thankyou as it helped and i will use it for reference. Awesome job you did on yours. Did you use cotton? J
This is soo amazing!!🙌🏾😍😍😍🙌🏾 (new subbie here 👋🏾) I love wearing sweatpants so this is definitely a project that I’m interested in making. Thank you for this!
Really helpful video and lots of great tips - but I wanted to ask how you managed the sewing around the pocket joint when sewing the side seam? I saw you sew the pocket bag down to fix in place so it looked neat, but how then did you sew the side seams without leaving a hole where the pocket bag was fixed? In the past I’ve seen videos where the side seam tracks around the pocket bag area as one overall stitching line, so you’ve no holes where the pocket meets the side seam. However, this doesn’t hold down the pocket bag, so I like your idea. I’m just not sure how to hide the side seam sewing when it meets the pocket top and bottom.
Amazing!!!! I’m so excited to make these. Not sure if I missed it but what is a good place to buy sweatpants material. Also do you have a video of what supplies to buy as first timer to make my first price? So far I have a seeing maxhine
I usually buy my sweatpant fabrics from a local store in Toronto - affordable textiles. It’s been my fav for quality so far , I do see a lot on Etsy just haven’t purchased it from there just yet!😊. And not right now but that is definitely on my to do list for videos for sure ! 🥰
Hi.. could you please list the proportions of sweatpants waist to waistband length to elastic length? That'd be super helpful ☺️☺️ is the waistband length longer than the actual waist size and then the elastic length is close to waistsize?
There’s a risk that the drawstring could be sewn over if you try and do it and the elastic, defeating the purpose of a drawstring If you know what you’re doing, I say go for it and save yourself the time. But personally elastic > canal > drawstring is what I’d go to for my level of experience
May I ask where you found this fabric? I do not seem to have this in my area and I have even looked online....with no success or with terribly overpriced material. Thankyou
I usually buy my sweatshirt fleece / Terry from a store called affordable textiles in Toronto, CA. I know the struggle, I am still trying to find cheaper options. !
@@CassieOlufemi Thank you so much! I’ve been there a few times, however only to look for swimwear fabric, I will have to go and take a look through the rest of the store!

Thank you, I'm using the pin method inside the button hole so that I don't cut into the thread boundary. Never thought of this, very much appreciated.

Hi! Excellent. I’m a beginner sewer, which needle do I use?
I think I used a universal needle 🪡🤍
This is so good thank you. How wide did you make the ankle area?
Can you do a tutorial on invisible zippers
Hi.. could you please list the proportions of sweatpants waist to waistband length to elastic length? That'd be super helpful ☺️☺️ is the waistband length longer than the actual waist size and then the elastic length is close to waistsize?
How in the world did you learn to do this so thoroughly
Thank you!!! By making many mistakes 😭😭 best way to learn haha 😆
Why you didnt use a serger? It wont be damaged as material is stretchy?
Please do tutorial on the pattern making
Thank for this
Clean
Thank you ! 💕
I love ❤…can I get the measurements
😮
Thanking you very much
How much smaller is the elastic compared to the waistband?
Is there a reason you put the drawstring in after the waistband was on the pants? Could it be put in with the elastic?
There’s a risk that the drawstring could be sewn over if you try and do it and the elastic, defeating the purpose of a drawstring
If you know what you’re doing, I say go for it and save yourself the time.
But personally elastic > canal > drawstring is what I’d go to for my level of experience
Where did you buy the material from and what’s the name of it ?
I bought it from affordable textiles in Toronto , sweatshirt fleece 🤍
Thank you SO MUCH!! 😭🔥

I believe I used the regular universal sewing machine needle. And straight stitch on my sewing machine when I wasn’t using my serger ❤️
