When you said Kibbes I gasped. I used to get the best shrimp salad sandwiches there in 1970-72. Moved out of state but so happy to hear they are still around.

Loved this and you are delightful. I agree about the roll, only way to go. My herb preference is lots of fresh dill. Great video, nicely done!

Perfect MD Shrimp Salad, Mr. Frank! Straightforward, just letting that shrimp shine. And you're absolutely correct - has to be on a fresh, "scooped out" roll, or it goes everywhere.
Believe it or not, Mueller's deli on Harford Rd used to make a killer shrimp salad. Yup, a German deli. In my childhood, they used to make their own sausages, etc., too, but in later years they got a lot of items from Binkert's Meats in Rosedale (no shame there - Binkert's is very good). Sadly, Kenny Mueller (3rd gen owner) had cancer, retired early and Muellers closed in 2018. :-( At least our neighborhood still has Mastellone's for a rockin' "old world Italian" or porchetta sub. No shrimp salad there, though, so I make my own now.

Mr Frank. My journey to finding this video started out with searching for a
recipe for some sort of Pea Salad. Then to Shrimp and Pea salad, and
found this. We have a bumper crop of Peas in our garden, and cooked
to al dente, and added to this recipe would be delightful. While watching
this video the light came on, DUH, this is a Lobster Roll! We live in Maine. :)
Thanks for joggin' this Old Garden Gnomes memory.
Recipe spot on, demonstration easy and clear. TYFS

I tried this and loved it!! The second time I did it I used a little less Mayo and about a tablespoon of horseradish and extra Old Bay Seasoning, and loved it even more. I can’t believe I’m almost 37 and never tried this before!

YESSSSSS! I dig the meat of my rolls out so I just have the outside shell of the bread left. Then I fill the bread pockets with my salad. Keep all that bread filling - I'll take the salad.

Old bay doesn't make it MD style. Lemon or vinegar does along with old bay or JO spice.

You're completely wrong but ok lmao. 33 years old. Have lived in Maryland all 33 years. Old Bay literally was made in Baltimore. You can use lemon and vinegar anywhere in this country, but old bay is our thing. I always add vinegar to anything I use with old bay, but I just don't get what you mean
