I started playing Sims 1 with my daughter when it first came out. We would play for hours and we had so much fun with it. We graduated to Sims 2, and then Sims 3, and now Sims 4. She was already nearly 18 when Sims 1 hit the market, and I was 49, so that makes me 69 now, and I'll be 70 in April. I still play Sims 4 and I still love it. I think your videos are great and I enjoy watching them very much. Here's something you may want to know about me: I was a paralegal and loved my job very much. In those days we didn't have computers, but I typed over 100 words per minute on a manual typewriter. Later when we had electric typewriters I was able to type over 110 words per minute. I took dictation at the same speed, 110 wpm. Transitioning to a computer wasn't all that hard, given that I could already type. I took a course at an adult education center to learn about computers and the internet. Never stop learning, people. The rewards are so worth the work. Keep on making these great videos, Lilsimsie
the memory system was AWESOME. plus interactive babies (changing stations, making the milk, etc) and so many of the small things like schmoozing the headmaster to get into private school, cars, etc lol. i had so much fun with that game and i loved the pre-made storylines :')
i miss memories soo much. and i loved the family albums and how premade sims would have pictures in their family albums for you to look at. so much more effort and detail went in
When I first started watching lilsimsie, roughly 3 and a half years ago, I always thought her voice was so shakey that she sounded very close to crying. Shes come so far
I started watching when you "spoke too fast that no one can understand you" and when Susan was high and mighty. I don't think there's a RUclipsr I've stuck with as long as you
I agree it looks like a townhouse should, just not the style maybe she's used to? I see townhouses like this everyday, she didn't really 'fix' it so much as change it to a cottage style
I agree. I don't mind it at all... I think liliesimsie just really doesn't like squares and rectangles, but in reality a lot of houses look like that. They're made of pure bricks, not some drywall, nobody had time to make them crazy complicated... I think it feels more realistic.
It feel weird and funny to look back all these old videos. The simmers feeling all excited for the sims 20th anniversary. And EA gave them a hot tub. Iconic.
I LOVE the sims 2. I played it once or twice when I was mad little and got impatient with it and raged quit, but I recently revisited it and I'm obsessed with it. But I'm with you in that sims 3 is most nostalgic with me, that was also a first for me (I started w 3 and my mom introduced me to 2 bc that was HER sims game)
When I first started playing Sims, it was The Sims 1. My sister's boyfriend at the time had an old copy that he let me have when I was like 12 since he saw how much I loved to play it. He ended up getting me The Sims 3 for my 13th birthday to update me and I'll always appreciate him for it. He enabled my Sims addiction fully lol
I just found your videos in the pandemic and I've been playing sims since the first one in 1999. I was 11 and didn't have friends and video games were my refuge. I played 1 & 2 religiously, and fell out around the third when I went to college. It was a very different time for girls who liked video games. I got into Sims 4 last year when it came out for free and I heard about it. You're videos has inspired my love of the game again and it makes me so happy to see this new generation of Simmers taking over the world!
My first was 3, favorite is 2, but 1 was pretty awesome for its time. I was born in 2004 so I played a lot of early 2000s kids games I'd gotten from my older cousins when I was growing up, and for 2000 tech, Sims 1 was groundbreaking. Of course it's a laughable game nowadays, but sometimes I still load it up if I've got a simple storyline and I just want a quick load and not too many choices.
9:50 when she started talking about “english weather” it took me a second to realize she was talking about England so i was like “..what? there’s different types of weather? french weather? rain can speak a language?”
I really hope you update us on your family's reaction to having eaten a vegan menu without knowing xD I mean, I'm not even vegan, but I do occasionally eat vegan meals and it's really not that big of a deal, especially in this day and age, but it feels like it's still a sort of novelty knock off version of a meal for a lot of people. Kinda like back in the day when vegetarians were assumed to only be eating side dishes and salads and people not even realising when they were eating something vegetarian...

I'm 18 and the first Sims game I played was the Sims 2 Pets on the PlayStation 2 (I was probs in elementary school). Good game, but kinda buggy because the cats would never eat and always run away, not sure why. Also, it sucked that there were no basements or upstairs allowed, no roofs, no foundation, getting a significant other was SO hard, and no children. Sims games have come a long way wow.
Sims medieval was amazing and underappreciated. Name one other game that would allow my sim to scream at the ocean whenever they got upset that their parents were eaten by whales. A gem.

my earliest memories of the sims is sitting on my mum's knee watching her play the sims 2, which led to me playing with her, then playing on my own. sims 2 has my heart and soul :')
You can't possibly be old enough to be typing or being online if your Mum played sims 2. That was released like yesterday. Right? Right? I'm thinking of how long ago it was that I was sitting on my Mum's knee and she wasn't playing any games then as we'd yet to get a games console and PCs weren't common in homes yet. Now I feel old. lol
I first played The Sims when it came out in my final year of university. Thanks for making me feel old. Didn't get seriously into it until Sims 2 though. Strongly remember making over the Pleasant house to give Lilith a better space. And they had a weird downstairs layout too. If only you were middle aged you could have had an extra decade of making over Maxis builds haha. Congrats on your YT anniversary.
I played Sims 1 as a tiny little preschooler on my grandma's lap with her mostly in control, so I'm going to count that but otherwise it'd be sims 3. I totally skipped sims 2 😅
@@katiea41 for it to count as a view all you have to do is open the video :) Well.. at least for the view count.. Edit: it counts as an *actual* view after you watch for more than thirty seconds but it counts for the view count after you click the video.
I'm 32 so I've played ALL the Sims games. I was so excited when I saw the trailer for the Sims 2 (omg they actually get pregnant) The trailer was on the Makin Magic CD. It was the last EP for the series. I was 13 when I played the Sims for the first time. On my cousin's computer, after we got home from the 7th grade. 2001 was lit.
What I do to get the computer to sit right on that desk is make it and the chair snap to a island counter, size the counter down and alt place it under the desk
Your build is great! I started playing the sims 1 when I was 11. My best friend had it and we were both obsessed. I made my mom buy it for me for my house.
My first sims game was Sims 1 !! I remember when sims 1 came out and it’s so nostalgic to me! I absolutely adore sims 1 that was my childhood and then I played sims 2 when it came out. Now I play sims 3 I never played sims 4. Im 27 my birthday is Tuesday :) 🥳
Makes me feel old that Sims 1 was my teenhood not childhood. When I was a kid, I grew up playing games on our CDI Player (a console which was a joint venture between Phillips and Sony and the first console to play games, music CDs, video disks - pre DVD, and could have a modem installed to enable internet browsing, in the early 90s!) and then built my own PC which had windows 95 on it whilst I was still at primary school. Then we upgraded it to windows 98 when that came out. So I played a lot of DOS games and other PC games too before getting Sims 1. It always bugged me that my brother was better at building in sims than I was given he's 7 years younger than me. So he played it as a kid, but had still played other games first as he had his own PC which I helped him build. Makes it sound like we were rich, but it was dirt cheap to build a computer back then if you went to computer fairs for all the parts. You could end up with much higher specs for less than the basic ones you can buy pre-built from places like PC World. I mean you still can if you know where to look. But Sims is still really nostalgic for me, or would be more so if it wasn't that I still play it - or at least sims 2 as I don't think sims 1 works on 64 bit OS and I don't have the version which can run a virtual OS in 32 bit. Otherwise I'd still play the first one. Loved it.
Happy anniversary! I’ve only just found your channel and I have a great time watching your content. Also it’s so much fun to go “ooh I remember that!” when you post a video of a build you made on stream. I love how the Pleasant house turned out!
I’m 23.. and I’ve been playing Sims since the first Sims! I wasnt very old but my dad would play it and so it got me hooked! I also played Sims City and the sims zoo game! All so much fun! But I’ve played the Sims, 1-4! Love them all :)
Kathi Nooo, I didn't want you to feel that way, I'm so sorry :c It's just a running joke in this channel that Kayla is 14 years old if you didn't know ;)
LOVE SIMS 2 I played it from when it came out (10yo) until I was in college (2013). The best sims! Horoscopes and turn ons/offs that actually affected who your sims were attracted to. Ugh. SO GOOD!
I started with the Sims 1 and was SOOOOO excited when they announced the Sims 2. I literally counted down the days in my school planner and put so many hours into playing it. I very briefly played the Sims 3, but I didn’t feel like it was as good as 2, so I kind of skipped over it and then life happened and just recently picked up Sims 4. I really did miss it, but honestly, the Sims 2 is still my favorite and holds a special place in my heart lol. I do love listening to the retro station on the radio though because they include all the older Sims music and it just takes me back.
I’ve played all 4 Sims games! I used to play the first Sims with my aunties when I was like 6. It’s fun to see all the changes the game has gone through.
Started playing from Sims 2 and loved it, only played briefly with Sims 3, now play Sims 4 and love it as well but I also never played with existing households, always make my own custom sims and play with them only. I hope they bring the photograph that u place on desks to have ur sims claim desks, would make Discovery University easier in the dorm situations.
this is one of EAs best builds in my opinion. the outside just looks like a townhouse and the interior is very reasonable, especially compared to other builds
I started playing The Sims (no 1 back then :)) when it just came out and it was a dream come true! Like I didn't even sleep I was so addicted, and still hooked to this day :) And I have the fondest childhood memories of playing this game..the real world sucked big time in those days, but I could build a better one :))
Born in late 1991... Sims 1 was my first! (I mean, technically SimCity was out first, and I played SimCity 3000(?) before The Sims (1), but its hard to remember, hahah!) I love your videos, you 100% got me back into The Sims with your builds and play-throughs!!
I was born in September -98. I played the Sims 1 a little before my cousin introduced me and my baby sister to the sims 2 and I WAS HOOKED. We usually just watched other family members play because we didn’t really understand the game. But by the sims 3 release I was a sims STAN. I have been in love with the sims my entire life.
I was born in '98 and my first game was the Sims 1, my brother and I used to play it all the time on our Windows 98 and PlayStation. It was also the first one I played by myself, I loved the Makin' Magic and Hot Date expansions lmao. I think I spent more years playing Sims 2 though, I played our disc to literal death. I remember how hyped we were when Sims 3 came out though, played it all through middle school. Ngl my favorite is and will probably always be the Urbz though.
My first Sims game was the very first one, The Sims. A girl I had befriended in 7th grade showed it to me and I got hooked. Been playing all Sims games ever since and don't think I'll ever grow out of it and stop. Love the Sims to much. Gaming has no age limits.
When Sims 1 came out I was only 4 years old, but when I was 7 my best friend's older sister had the game and we spent countless hours playing it after school. Another friend later had Sims 2 which we continued to play for many years. Somehow I skipped Sims 3 and kind of forgot about the whole game for many years. Then bought myself Sims 4 in 2015 and I've been loving it ever since then!
The Sims 1 was my jam! Can’t believe it’s nearly 20 years. Feeling super old right now. I skipped 2 and 3 and then got back into it when 4 was released.
I got the sims 2 when origin did that free sims 2 ultimate collection thing, and it's fun, but I the sims 3 was my first sims game. I got the base game after into the future came out, with birthday money from my grandpa. And I just fell in love instantly. Whenever I'd have company, I would make them sit next to me and tour my houses and show off my sims, and I'd ask them if they wanted to play sims with me (ie, sit next to me and talk while I played the sims). I'm 19 now, and the sims has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, because I was watching simmers on RUclips before I ever got the sims
I'm 31 and I played Sims 1 & Sims 2 a lot! 🤣 I also played Sims 3 a bit but then stopped cause growing up sucks and you have less and less time for playing. Now I'm only watching Sims 4 videos for renovation and furnishing ideas cause I love designing😍
I turn 22 in a month and I loved the sims 2 when I was a kid!!! I have a lot of memories playing the Pleasant, Curious, Summerdream, and Capp families.
😂 I feel so old because I've been watching you for OVER four years now which feels crazy (I was there for the first channel drama if that gives you any idea), and my first sims game was the sims 1 (I'm only 21 but my dad had the sims 1 on his computer and he taught me how to play when I was like, 6). Love you Kayla! It's been so cool watching you grow and come out of your shell (and come around on cooked fruit a lil bit 😂) ❤️
Idk what time is where u r but here is almost 11pm and i have this HUGE exam tomorrow that is like 40% of my grade and i didnt study and im going to get up early in like 5.30am and when i saw that u uploaded a video... i just cannot not watch it... just these renovations u do are calming me down so u have one huge THANK YOU from Bulgaria. I was here when she was Kelly. When she had a lovely friend named Susan. When she ranted about waiting in line with boys. When she ranted about cooked fruit. When she spoke so fast no one knew what was going on. So, seeing her being 20 is kinda crazy. (She will always be 14 in our hearts)
I'm about to be 25, and I actually started with The Sims Bustin' Out for PS2! I also played a ton of Sims 2, but Bustin' Out was definitely the OG Sims game for me.
i remember the first time i ever played the sims was at my friend sebastian's house in the fifth grade, and he had sims 3. my mom thought it was "inappropriate" for kids my age so i could only play it at his house. i spent, i would bet, an hour and a half in CAS creating a character who looked EXACTLY like me, right down to the outfit (a brown and pink striped sweater and brown courderoy pants. 2010 was a weird year for fashion). i first played sims 4 at my friend taylor's house in like... eleventh grade? my mom still waste a fan of the game. that was pretty much all we did any time i visited her (she lives a couple hours away from me). then i bought myself sims 4 this past september, at 20 years old. i'm obsessed.
I played Sims 2 when my cousins lived with us. Sims 3 was already out, and I liked Sims 2 so much that when they moved out, I begged my parents for weeks for Sims 3. I also played Sims on the GameCube when I was super young haha. I love Sims 3 so much it's the best by far.
I'm still in high school but I first played the sims 2. I used to watch my older sister play and she would let me make sims so for my 8th(?) bday my parents got me some of the sims 2 packs and I have been obsessed ever since
I'm 23 in May and I played many games growing up as a kid (and still do), but the Sims 3 was my first game, and I didn't get it until maybe 4-5 years ago! I now exclusively play 4, and have around 600 hours on it.
I played the sims 2 on other people’s computer but the sims 3 is the first sims game I actually owned myself! I got most of the expansion packs at Christmas/birthdays etc. Me and my friends used to have sleepover parties where we’d just play sims for hours and hours. So nostalgic. I’m 22 btw!
I started playing Sims 1 with my daughter when it first came out. We would play for hours and we had so much fun with it. We graduated to Sims 2, and then Sims 3, and now Sims 4.
Being watching you since you were in high school! Love your videos Kayla, keep up the great work

Or she could have liked her own video and her view doesn’t count, idk maybe 🤷🏼♀️

Lou Rose idk how long you have to watch before it counts as a view but I like first thing 😂
@@katiea41 for it to count as a view all you have to do is open the video :)
Well.. at least for the view count..
Edit: it counts as an *actual* view after you watch for more than thirty seconds but it counts for the view count after you click the video.
The views are only counted after thirty or so seconds
I'm 32 so I've played ALL the Sims games. I was so excited when I saw the trailer for the Sims 2 (omg they actually get pregnant)
The trailer was on the Makin Magic CD. It was the last EP for the series.
I was 13 when I played the Sims for the first time. On my cousin's computer, after we got home from the 7th grade. 2001 was lit.
when the lilsimsie video says posted 27 seconds ago :0
What I do to get the computer to sit right on that desk is make it and the chair snap to a island counter, size the counter down and alt place it under the desk
Omg last time I was early EA actually furnished their houses properly. 😂
Honestly, when did they ever do that?

Your build is great!
I started playing the sims 1 when I was 11. My best friend had it and we were both obsessed. I made my mom buy it for me for my house.
making the pleasant house finally pleasant
The first Sims was golden. I had all the packs. Makin Magic was the BEST
Loved it.
Alexa Faie wow thanks for sharing! And be proud you were around to see the beginning of sims! It’s a good thing! 😀
Happy anniversary! I’ve only just found your channel and I have a great time watching your content. Also it’s so much fun to go “ooh I remember that!” when you post a video of a build you made on stream. I love how the Pleasant house turned out!
Sims 3: Generations and the Base Game was the first 2 games I bought together
I’m 23.. and I’ve been playing Sims since the first Sims! I wasnt very old but my dad would play it and so it got me hooked! I also played Sims City and the sims zoo game! All so much fun! But I’ve played the Sims, 1-4! Love them all :)
I can't believe Kayla started her channel when she was 10
Which channel do you mean? This one has been started in 2015 and she obviously is not 15.
Kathi buddy, it's just a joke
@@alyonausa7109 omg I feel so stupid now
Kathi Nooo, I didn't want you to feel that way, I'm so sorry :c It's just a running joke in this channel that Kayla is 14 years old if you didn't know ;)
@@alyonausa7109 Oh no you needn't feel guilty :/ Well I didn't know yet I just started watching her channel recently

WOW I CANT BELIEVE YOU POSTED AT 3:05 INSTEAD OF 3:00!!! HOW DARE YOUUU!!
jkk love youu
LOVE SIMS 2 I played it from when it came out (10yo) until I was in college (2013). The best sims! Horoscopes and turn ons/offs that actually affected who your sims were attracted to. Ugh. SO GOOD!
Shout out to 12 year old me playing sims 1, painting god awful Naruto skins on all my sims with the sims 1 studio 😩👌
hearing you talk about the 20th anniversary now makes me so sad :( i’m gonna go cry in my base game hot tub
This is the order of sims games I've played:
Sims 2 castaway (Wii)
Sims 3
Sims Medieval
Simcity
Sims 2
Sims 4
Omg I entirely forgot that I used to play castaways! Wow I loved that game lol
I LOVEDDDDD sims medievalll
I started with the Sims 1 and was SOOOOO excited when they announced the Sims 2. I literally counted down the days in my school planner and put so many hours into playing it. I very briefly played the Sims 3, but I didn’t feel like it was as good as 2, so I kind of skipped over it and then life happened and just recently picked up Sims 4. I really did miss it, but honestly, the Sims 2 is still my favorite and holds a special place in my heart lol. I do love listening to the retro station on the radio though because they include all the older Sims music and it just takes me back.
I've been watching for almost three years 🤪
Just watched your Simsie save video and you saying these houses are the only ones not up yet, and now I see this video! Yay!
pov: your here after we got a hot tub for 20 years of the sims
I’ve played all 4 Sims games! I used to play the first Sims with my aunties when I was like 6. It’s fun to see all the changes the game has gone through.
Kayla: they’ve gotta do something for the 20th anniversary like that’s huge!
Me: that’s where you’re wrong kiddo
Started playing from Sims 2 and loved it, only played briefly with Sims 3, now play Sims 4 and love it as well but I also never played with existing households, always make my own custom sims and play with them only. I hope they bring the photograph that u place on desks to have ur sims claim desks, would make Discovery University easier in the dorm situations.
Tmw you try to type something relatable early on without actually watching the video
this is one of EAs best builds in my opinion. the outside just looks like a townhouse and the interior is very reasonable, especially compared to other builds
i played the sims 1 first when i was a kid played every sims after that
I started playing The Sims (no 1 back then :)) when it just came out and it was a dream come true! Like I didn't even sleep I was so addicted, and still hooked to this day :) And I have the fondest childhood memories of playing this game..the real world sucked big time in those days, but I could build a better one :))
Wow, I’m never this early, love the build, just like I love the rest of your builds and you in general 💖💖💖
You honestly have such good buildss and I love that a lot. You inspired me to start my on creation of the sims world or something like that... love ya

Born in late 1991... Sims 1 was my first! (I mean, technically SimCity was out first, and I played SimCity 3000(?) before The Sims (1), but its hard to remember, hahah!) I love your videos, you 100% got me back into The Sims with your builds and play-throughs!!
Wait, 8 minutes ago?

Love the privet drive inspired look!🙂

Last time I was this early Kayla didn’t even need to renovate residential lots.
I’ve been around since about a week before you lost your old channel and made lilsimsie. Love ya. We’ve grown together. ❤️
Sims 3 all the way. On console though

Kayla: Yeah so I'm from Florida...
When youtube said this vidio has no views and 54 comments...
I'm 24 and The Sims was my first Sims game. Makin' Magic is still my favourite pack.
Here since 9k and loved everything of it, I kinda grew with you really and I think it is awesome. Love you!!🖤🖤
I'm 31 and I played Sims 1 & Sims 2 a lot!
Ily❤
Waitttt... I’m actually in love with the way she says Dursley’s (in from the uk and I’ve just never heard it said like that before) 😍😂
I'm about to be 25, and I actually started with The Sims Bustin' Out for PS2!
I’m 22 btw!
