Campsite 34 on Cranberry Lake in the Adirondacks

  • When paddling to Campsite 34 in Dead Creek Flow in Cranberry Lake, New York, I found it sooner than I expected, then the landmarks didn't seem to be where they should have been according the map I was using. I figured it out in the end, after coming home. The explanation is at the end of the video.
    It's a lovely site with a sand beach, a large flat area for tents, and the possibility for hammocks.

    That large deadfall in the water once stood on the bank next to the beach and leaned over the water. About half way up there was a rope we would swing out on and drop into the water. I believe that tree fell over in the early 90s.😢

      Yes, site 34 is water access. In Dead Creek flow, that area of Cranberry Lake, site 36 and 37 and the Janacks Landing Leanto can be accessed on foot from Wanakena.
