THE FIGHT FOR KRAKOA HAS BEEN LOST! Ten years ago, the mutants returned from their exile to try and reclaim the Earth from the forces of Orchis. They failed. Now, within the victorious Orchis with their gauntlet choking the world, Nimrod and Omega Sentinel put their plan within a plan into action. They are to summon their binary god to consume everything in their accession. All that stands between them is the X-Men. What can they do? They're the X-Men. They'll find a way. That's their power. Since a kid, I’ve usually been on the “Xavier is more evil than OG Magneto” train, but this the first time I seen him trying to do something fucked up & was on his side. til he shot Rachel lmao.
This still feels like Moira charachter assassination. I still feel like her heel turn wasn't something editorial asked Hickman to do before he left. Tgat and everybody being sinister makes this feel rushed. Like GOT final season rush.
I genuinely can't say what Hickman plans were for Moria, but I got the impression that her intentions were definitely not this sinister.
The whole Krakoan era wouldn't have worked without character assination

Well, technically the only host and perfect one is Jean Grey. Her and the Phoenix are one and the same. Rasputin being the host wouldn't work properly.

I doubt rachel will stay dead for long. Phoenix hosts never stay dead for long. They are just reborn again at a later time, sometimes sooner, rather than later.

I love RB's art but is the colorist doing the blur effects? It absolutely ruins pieces of his art in this book, there's a page where Rasputin slices through a Sentinel, it's completely blurred with an effect. Bad.

🤔 It's very possible that Xavier will force Rachel to perform a Phoenix Song on Moira...but that may be a power only Jean can do. But then again, all of Rachel's paths leads her to becoming Mother Askani so there's that...

The X-Men feel more like a weird ass Midsommer cult than X-Men. Honestly the vibe in a lot of these X-Men books feels demonic.
All I have to do is go back in time and use one of the bullets that doesn't hurt anyone but take away powers just use it on her right when it activates. Use a psychic power to give her an item that will make sure she'll never have her powers turn on. Make her forget that it's on her or in her. It that simple.
They don't want to risk her getting powers back. If she is dead she can't for sure.
@@comicbreakdown Here's the thing her powers activated when she died. If they have a device activated that stops It from activating or that gun that actually takes the X Gene out of her. That's what they did in the future and that's why she became a cyborg. The Gun Mystique and Destiny shot her with. Even if someone gets her dnd and tries to make clones of her, Gene is gone. All the smart people and they're dumb especially Xavier never trust a Sinister not not one inch. I see the point of her being dead would be 100% sure.
This mess is so tangled up that the only thing I'm sure of is that in the end there will be a timeline reboot and the X-Men will hopefully go back to before the krakoan era, when Xavier still was Xavier, beast was a good guy, moira didn't reset time as a hobby, and shady mutants didn't hang out with honest mutants just because they shared the same genetics.
well we can't be totally sure if xavier actually still has a sinister inside him and this was always the plan rather than a change of heart. Id say xavier allowing rasputin to kill the doug sinister was suspicious since you'd think he'd still be important and useful for them to navigate around at least.

When did Doug die to be reborn as a sinister? Why didn’t Krakoa know immediately? Does Charles think Rachel will come back as the Phoenix or is his sinister side kicking in. Why would he even use a gun to kill Moira? Just purge her mind where she stops breathing or tell her mind to stop pumping blood. This is feeling dumb at this point.
So i think Moira is going to take over the dominion from the inside and live her selfish life alone. Since enigma made the deal that she would have her own section of consciousness.
Not sure I am following everything. I hope you do a cool comprehensive video when this is all over if we need it! Depends on if they do a restart or not. I still don't know what I want the writers to do in the end.
This is the reason to never trust Charles Xavier ever. I mean killing a kid to stop what exactly? Dominion is Omnitemporal once it exists their is nothing that will stop it from existing in time. Not to mention wouldn't killing Moira also mess with the existence of a good amount of mutants, not just Krakoa. Wouldn't this also open an can of worms when it comes to time? And now he shot Rachael in the back wow.
Killing Moira before Krakoa came into existence would prevent the Dominion from forming taking over. That's why Dominion allowed destiny to live - he needed Destiny's help in Krakoa being formed.Also, after seeing what a mess Krakoa ended up as, Charles basically wanted to hit the reset button again.

They are not going to hear about any of this! Scott is busy trying to stop Nimrod, which he failed, Psylocke is now Japan with Greycrow settling down but will later fight vampires in "Blood Hunt", and Jean is currently in a DYING state, so no to all other above

Cyclops and Psylocke are shown to be on an X-men team to be written by Jed Mckay this coming July, with Magneto looking like the former Prof. X, however, Jean is NOWHERE to be seen though a Phoenix book has been listed, but no creative team for it has been announced yet. But it doesn't answer your comment whether they will find out what Xavier did😅

Btw wasn't the whole point for all of this Xavier to travel to her first life ? 🤔 This is her 10th life before she,Xavier and Magneto form Krakoa . They send an x-men team across Moira's lives just to discover her first life and stop Enigma emerging .

You know if comics were truly logical Charles could’ve had all the knowledge, proserved DNA and memories of Krakoa backed up and given to his past self, so that way when he kills Moira they can still have Krakoa while having the knowledge of Nathaniel’s clones and Enigma to destroy him early.

Him not killing Moira is a much better story. I didnt think he was going to pull the trigger on the character he did, but well see if they save Rasputin for future stories. Im pretty sure that the powered-up Moira is the Moira-Phalanx that we saw in the previous issues. She is the one to really set this end in motion, but she wont succeed.

No one has anything to say about Doug being killed when he is possessed by sinister, that is okay because it's a guy? this writing makes NO SENSE. Charles would've just done it. Charles should've done it and ended this bad writing.
I think that's Moira's first life so she is a child.
All of this could've been avoided if Charles told or manipulated moria to join Destiny, to ensure mutants win

x men has always been my favorite comics,but this last year has made me despise x men comics .I dont see how anyone likes the writing anymore.x men are no longer xmen,it is just shock factor garbage book after shock factor garbage book and nothing even makes sense anymore.
X of swords changed the Krakoa Era which started off with greats runs to mid runs and moment Hickman left and Kieron Gilleon and Dan Jurgens started running the X-men books everything went bad.
People are gonna hate the X-men books because of the Krakoa Era but really it's because the X-men are being written contrived and bad again repeating their old mistakes and gonna carry that into the relaunch.

The X in Rise of Powers of X is supposed to be a 10 like the Roman numeral. Fall of the House of X is X as in X-men. Some folks at Marvel think they’re clever.
