Rob whenever there’s a morally gray utilitarian position
“And he’s not entirely wrong here”
lol fr
So ironic twist, Prof X is becoming magneto and magneto is becoming prof x in mindset
you mean to say ICONIC. It's amazing.
@@MomosuzuNenechiit is a bit ironic, though.
Self preservation make some people do some desperate things. Then again you come to a point when you have to realize that this mutant/ humans coming together is a looking like a pipe dream. I would do the same thing. If j can't make with my enemies then ............
@@amaljones8641yeah but how Magneto go from Mutant Hitler to Mutant Jesus and Charles is Hitler in the making?
Literally the definition of “irony”. Thank you for this comment. Excellent choice of word.
Anytime a character gets a design rehaul and is given a helmet expects some evil shit
The maker lmao
Lmao!😂😂😂 true!
@@basedarkane717 Ya uh No. Lol that dude woke and Chose violence 4 real 4 real lol that's the last guy you want with a helmet lol
Darth Vader lol!
Storm and Apocalypse have been amazing recently.
They’ve been carrying! It’s okay to say so.
Two of my favorite characters right there 😎
Storm are Apocalypse are the stealth MVPs of this era
Professor X: Some of you may die, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make.
Come on, Rob.
Professor x betrays the X-Men for the first time this decade
Because he was dead and also removed from being on Genosha and even Wolverine isnt that dumb to put on his school (after Charles' crimes againist Humanity and Mutankind).
@@ghostrouxinol6169 I'm know lol just saying 80s brood saga professor x betrays the x-men 90s onslaught saga /Xavier protocols professor x betrays the xmen 2000s schism professor x betrays the X-Men it's kind of repetitive is all I'm saying and without being confrontational their the ones that I could think of off the top off my head 🤷♂️😧
@@micktongue5732 Because the writers force X-Men to have him back. They probably better served having anybody else in the team or even as leader. (Beast can also leave and never come back. Maybe they could go to desert island and never leave)
And to think it was Rogue that thex-men gave a hard time when she first came on board to the team! They were waiting for her to betray the team trusting the professor the most, trusting Rogue the least, now who's the trustworthy one now?Yeah give my girl her due props!
@@christopherbyrdakaSuperman Same happen with Magik, Emma Frost and even in Kroaka era.
The difference between Gillen writing morally ambiguous Xavier and Duggan writing him is staggering. Gillen at least provides rationale behind him being willing enough to take the more extreme path if it meant preserving mutantkind in his best interests, and Gerry's just like "lol he's irredeemable"
Bro facts. I'm tired of the Charles is the secret villain crap
Gillen is actually a stealth all time great X writer and has done during the Utopia era and now during the Krakoa era
I'm a fan of it personally. I mean considering everything that's happened in the X-Men lore I don't blame Charles for doing some evil shit. Peace clearly isn't an option. That being said I'm curious to see how reborn magneto will react to Charles's recent actions
@@torrancemoore6152 "Secret"? Back in the very beginning, he found a group of mutant high-school kids and trained them as his child soldiers. That's some pretty evil shit, quite frankly.
Charles was weak, he should have always had a fail safe ti make the whole world have a stroke at once as a ultimate weapon.maybe some would survive but the human race as a whole would be decimated.
That last shot shot of Storm has me picturing DMX's "X Gon Give It to You" playing ingl the background.
I see ur vision bro 😂😂
Oh man, for a moment then I thought xaviar was going to become onslaught again.
I’ve always hated this decision to give Xavier a nefarious side. It stands against everything he and the X-Men are supposed to represent and be. He’s not naïve, either, but that doesn’t make him willing to give up by making a deal with the devil. Cause the devil you know is still a devil. Giving him naïvety or a nefarious side are both pessimistic things to do, because the pessimistic thing to say is that believing in an equal future is naïve and somehow a bad thing or how there’s no such thing as wholly good and that level of selfless. Both are simply untrue.
This was just a shameless attempt to preserve Marvel’s current status quo, the kind that contradicts what Stan Lee wanted the X-Men to be an allegory to. He wants them to represent tolerance, while Marvel, here, wanted to have Xavier destroy the craft launched in defense of their Mutant cousins so non-Mutants can still hate and dehumanize Mutants.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
@@Clippidyclappidy That’s applied to when you do a good deed that has bad consequences. Not making a selfish deal with genocidal maniacs who will, in all likelihood, not keep their end of the bargain and use what happened to bring the global opinion of Mutants even more down.
Really? It always makes him slightly more interesting for me
@@christopherhart4058 Generally, I don’t disagree, but for a character like Xavier, it doesn’t work, not for him. He’s not supposed to be the kind of character who readers will think runs his school like a dictator.
And here, him making this deal and killing a few Humans like so is little to no different than Xavier giving up. He goes from advocating tolerance and acceptance so to end the very real pain and fear in the name of an equally important cause, to deciding he doesn’t care what happens with Humans anymore, as if Mutants aren’t Humans, too.
@@teleportedbreadfor3days He's the kind of guy who thought training child soldiers was a good idea, all the way back in issue #1. This isn't that much of a stretch.
Apocalypse is not playing around today.
He is the fittest
Oh no. A modern X-Men story where Xavier is actually a monster? Is it a day ending in "y"?
I know, this series is so stupid now. It was literally designed to be temporary like Age of Apocalypse, and they stretch it out to infinity. I mean this entire concept is basically just a retread of Genosha anyway! The unearned praise for this series to me is like watching the dead body of a prize horse being beaten over and over.
So the character assassination of the X-Men (and especially Xavier) continues.
I'm really over it
first time seeing that Xavier is a psycho?
@Ian-hv5zk no, it's the millionth time. If they want to write him like a villain, then make him an outright villain like Magneto was. This rehash was old 10 years ago.
Don't be so Dramatic. Hero's having a villain Arc isn't really that Strange is it?
@@spottedslash4256 Having a villain arc isn't "strange".
It's anathema to being a hero.
Cyclops and Xavier straight up remind me of Lui Kang and Raiden in MK9.
Which is an awful sign.
Again, Charles is always the one to take the blame. He's always in the wrong. He always is lambasted by Scott, or Iron Man, or Dr. Doom, or Reed Richard, or Namor. No other members of the Xmen stick up to him or point out that he's got a point given the circumstances. At this point, please send Xavier off into space or end the character. There has been literally no meaningful change to him in over 20 years.
To be Fair that is kinda what happened when Scott got in Power
He's gotten worse. That's a change
Intelligent compassionate man bad
X-Men are rage bait and not much more
Didn't they send him to space (and the Shi'ar Empire) for a while?
OMG... Magneto's rebirth, he becomes Charles Xavier with a twist, and Charles Xavier becomes Magneto with a twist!!!
It’s a thoroughly crappy twist if you ask me. Xavier’s modern character is something he isn’t.
What a twist!
@@teleportedbreadfor3daysCyclops Fans: First time?
@@UnifiedEntity Doesn’t always mean it’s right
@@teleportedbreadfor3days oh I'm not saying it's right. Just saying we cyclops fans can relate to this situation.
@9:06 Cyclopes be showin hardcore. "This is why I lead the X-Men son".
This one of those times I’m surprised Rob isn’t going “MANNN MANNNN!!…” therefore I think he’s still wrapping his head around this😂😂😂
I'm so hoping...... after waiting all this time for Nimrod to fail on an epic scale. At his lowest point he realizes victory can still be won and then rips the time gear from Omega Sentinel and travels back in time to kill a much younger and inexperienced x-men. This would finally close the time loop that's been open for how many decades?!
So I understand Nimrod as a necessary plot device to get to an apocalyptic alternative future where sentinels could ever win, but outside of that he is just utterly uninteresting. He had no weakness to exploit really so in the end his defeat can only happen through as cop out.
Sinister could have cloned Nimrod with Apocalypse's DNA to defeat him
Nimrod sounds like a precursor version of UNICRON.
We finna proceed on our way to Oblivion
😮 ayo your right!
You saw that "Transformers One" trailer before the video too im guessin 😶?
@@SausagecatChannel Lol I did
@@SausagecatChannel probably. I think he meant that Ninrod was tryna be like Brainiac and got the world-fucking machines mixed up a Lil bit
Cyclops was right.

Thanks for the video Rob and thanks for covering X-men 97 as well. I really think it's the best animated Marvel series we've had in a long time! I hope my fellow Rob corps fans have a great day!
Charles and beast two of the X-men deadliest opponents 😂
Your coverage of the "...of X" storyline has me reading Marvel comics again! So, thank you for that!
Same
you can find so much better dude.
The timing of Storm's comeback in both comics and X-Men 97 though.
Storms power set is amazing, thanks for what you do Rob
So Rob's two favorite things are Black Bolt and Twitter comments
Rob, you made me love comics again.
Anyone remember the marvel cards from back in the day? The ones that each set of 9 made a picture if you had them in a binder
Magneto would both be proud... and afraid of Charles at the same time
Ugh, cliffhanger!
love it, keep up the great content!
xoxo
skizz0tty
Cyclops is always going through it 😭
Love the Lighting effects from storm
The added effects are 🔥🔥
So in another words the sentinels are about to go full Skynet on humanity and will probably blame the mutants if their plans fails which would be really crazy
I already enjoyed Apocalypse as a villain but the Krakoan era has pushed him the same way Magneto was in AoE. He’s easily my favorite X character now with Sabertooth in his place even though the power scales differently.
Blerd Without Fears main event introduction to Storms return is amazing!
The heel turn we’ve been waiting for.
So like....Storm looks like she done lost her mind. Which should make everyone nervous. Apocalypse doing sacrifices like what! Xavier backstabbing overload
Only Apocalypse could stop her. And even then that may be a stretch
I thought after magneto resurrection they going make Storm side character again 😢 after seeing the end of this issue i am hopeful again 😊
Crazy we never got to see a meeting between Ultron and Nimrod🤖
I like the idea of Dominions. Basically if God were real he’d be a junior novice god, and the reason you have multiple universes-dominating gods. Once you understand everything you understand you’re in a comic you understand how “magic” of the matrix works, you can step outside of time and space and become a writer (competing with other gods/writers)
Loki God of Stories is a Dominion, as is Kang, or they could be a step below and still bound by stories and plot.
It's less of, "Becoming a writer," and more of, "Becoming a host for a writer," or, more accurately, "Their plot device." Otherwise Deadpool would be a god.
Another example would be Gwen Pool. Not only does she see the comic as an actual thing she exists on, she can manipulate it to some degree by jumping in and out of the "gutter." But that still doesn't mean she can change the story. (She tried this by tossing Doom into the void between panels and he climbed out through some by explaining it away with some Star-Trek-esque techno-babble.)
@@ClockworkGearhead you’re right. I think of it as cartoon logic (“because comics”)
Great content
Kind of wondering if Krakoa is a mutant of Groot's species that made it to Earth.
Krakoa is a mutant from the Threshold a society of mutants which existed millions of years ago.
@@asssassyn oh.
I don’t understand how these recent X-Men comics can have so much filler with so much unanswered and incomplete story to wrap up in a few comics. Disappointing considering how amazing the first half of the Krakoan era was.
Its (clever writing) a miracle Ultron never met Nimrod!!! "Do you want to play a game?"
It would be a hilarious (and poor writing) way to end the whole, "Machines are going to kill everyone," perpetual threat. Just pit the two against each other and drop them in a dead timeline.
Instead of "deus ex machina" it would be "machina removere a deo."
Rob is still my favorite of comic reviewers. This wrapping up of the Fall of Krakoa has been disappointing. Part of it, from other reviewer's evaluations and other part is how Marvel seems to be rushing. all the crumbs that Marvel's dropped since the start of Krakoa and how they are rushing to make it fit in. This issue has some interesting moments. Xavier's deal with Omega Sentinel, Cyclops frustration/anger at Xavier's actions is justified given the number of times, Cyclops has disappointed with all of Charles's decisions that are unliked the Xavier that he followed in his younger self. Cyclops idolized Xavier up on the pedestal for his vision, only to be let down time & time again. Yet, Cyclops has forgotten about his own direction when he received the Phoenix force power or his own direction when he worked with Magneto. This issue with the revival of Krakoa, sacrifice of wrongside and Arakko mutant was interesting, as it leaves questions on what happens to Krakoa and Arakko mutants after Orchis is defeated. We know there will be 3 new titles in June and 3 more later on, but none so far hinted about Krakoa & Arakko mutants future. The titles coming out, seem situated on Earth/U.S. There are still Doom's mutants, Savage land mutants and others still around and occurring.
I got chills reading Storm's last statements
I never liked the idea of professor Xavier using a machine to track and monitor every mutant's thoughts. And I always wanted to know just how Xavier made his money to fund his schools.
Charles was from a rich family, his father was a nuclear scientist who made a fortune with his research. Bankrolled in part, as we find out much later, by Sinister.
He was poor
Love your channel. You share the same love for X-men as I do.
I’m still standing by the professor. Xavier is probably using Orchis to get to Enigma. His first plan didn’t work because Rachel had to use the moral high ground. He needs to buy enough time for Phoenix to resurrect in Jean, because at this point only it can kill Enigma. Let’s face it, every X-Man has had the ends justify the means psyche some point in their history.
Yeah, normally I find the whole "the ends justify the means" thing to be just plain stupid, but this time I think Xavier is actually right, more or less.
For the first 5 minutes I thought T'Challa was teaming up with Ulyssus Klaue. I thought. "Wow, this is actually pretty cool, no one would have expected this."
Kilmonger is cool, too. My tired Brain just didn't register. 😅
I need more of this story
I feel Ike you should’ve explained the connection between santo and wrongslide and how wrongslide came Into existence
Nimrod asking that question of "what am I when I finish?" This late feels weird. However, I do like his more casual way of speaking "well, we ARE near the sun." Lmao.
Honestly, as long as humanity is alive, mutants will be alive. Humanity will continue evolving into mutants no matter what. So I think Xavier was right in his call before, but now Cyclops is right. Pre-emptively bending the knee to Nimrod and allowing him to become a dominion makes no sense. All that will do is ensure everyone dies.
. . .I guess that is the whole reason they had Nimrod question his future. He may decide against becoming a dominion for the sake of having a purpose, specifically for killing.
Professor Xavier is like that Politician who believes he's doing things for the greater good .
Even if that means doing things that are wrong .
I believe this has actually been happening since the X-Men began .
Between this and Xmen 97, Storm has been my favorite
Marvel write a good x-men comic challenge: impossible
I knew this would happen. There were so many tell tale signs of Xavier’s descent into a darker path in House/Powers of X
Professor X does often show a shadier side to him in the comics.
I gotta say, im *LOVING* what Marvel has been doing with Storm as a character these past few years 🤩🤩
I wonder what Moira is doing.
10:01 | rob always on the wrong side bruh🤦🏾♂️ like always.
My question is what is Nimrod’s powers? I feel like he’s always a threat but like could someone just warp his reality away or something?…or Hulk just rip him apart? 😂
Basically his power is a leser slower version of darwins power (adaptation) but his adaptions are permanent.
That + the fact he rebuilds himself whenever he dies and you can see him as basically marvel version of doomsday except unlike doomsday nimrod is quite smart.
Depends on the version is also kind of a nerfed Amazo but for mutants but in this era is a adaptation sentinel
So he’s Ultron, but better powers
He's A.I. He can adapt to any mutant powers to beat them. Even if he dies, he is rebuilt to fight again. Even Storm might not even be enough to defeat him.
I've always loved Storm since her introduction. sigh. Charles has always been a sniveling weasel.
I love all the writing storm is getting
Facts. I wanna see more of her and Magneto too
As much as I love it, I’d like her nerfed slightly and the love that’s been shown to her spread out the X Men a little bit more.
You did not just leave us hanging on Storm like that.
(NICK WILSON) Told you Nimrod was coming and all hells gonna break lose 😆
I swear, whenever I hear those words. "But with that being said guys" I always yell out "NOOOOO" with a fiery passion. Hahaha
Prof X never betrays. He knows more than everyone.
Before I press play I expect Rob to start with *"Man Professor X IS A DXXK..."* That's all I heard when reading the title.
again it's Apocalypse who is taking care of the "Broken Land" and attempting heal and take care of the land. What was laid down in Ewing X-men Red is becoming more and more important and I think Apocalypse and Magneto both saw that in Storm but Storm HAD to go through a proving of sorts. We will see how this plays out but very clearly Charles at the end of day is a coward and has never really been fit to lead. He left the land "Kraoka" to die while he went and cut a deal. I love Apocalypses and Storms arcs through out all of because it ties directly because the true meaning of the word. "a revelation"
You would think by now scott would be so mad he is calm
Best X run since the 90's
Full power storm & Magento Vs Nimrod? LET'S GO!!
Proteus, Legion, Nate Grey/X Man 👨, Vulcan 🖖, Rachel Summers and Sun ☀️ spot are some of the most powerful mutants in the marvel universe and basically Omega
Sees the title
First though: "Again?"
Storm is such a bad ass. I can imagine the ending of this comic translated into an anime cliffhanger. Space travel via a local oxygen bubble. Super interesting. But also the fact that the storm is hitting off world. Wild indeed
Storm's so dope now. ⚡ 🌧️
Also Prof X casually murdering ppl. 😂
I think that Magneto is going to come back and kill Prof X. Now that he is balanced for both the dark and the light, he is going to understand why Prof X has been the problem all along and why it can't be fixed as long as Prof X is around.
It’s make sense that Xavier had a dark side that SINISTER I guess saw and would attempt to exploit, REMEMBER ONSLAUGHT
Love This Channel 🥹
The X-Men writers never disappoint with Storm
Ron: "and what happened was"
@comicsexplained who would win in Nimrod Vs Ultron? Would they even fight and not just team up?
Did Rob make a playlist of Cyclops being a "bad guy"?
Edited: This is why I like Cyclops over Xavier, you can't call it survival if you sacrifice all that makes you you.
You've spiritually killed yourself.
Its the same argument Ender had, "The way you win, matters", it's not survival, you've done the enemy's job for them.
Rob could you tell me what your name is on Twitter so I can follow you please? I was at your live earlier and wasn’t able to find you on Twitter to hear the rest of your story.
Bro I need the next episode ASAP this shit can’t get any better
Oh yea! Beyond omega level storm lets gooooo. Also rob did you see, Did You Seeeee how storm got her powers back in xmen 97? Omg honestly one of the most epic and powerful animated scenes ive ever seen. It was brilliant, it was beautiful, it was storm in her element and natural state. A true transformation. Amazing.
I found the episode pretty rushed and all over the place. Like, Forge is going to die and we got Storm flying with horses laughing and joking with her powers back. Bit strange considering the stakes.
Bring it to them Storm!⚡
Time for Storm to bring the hard rain
The new Transformers movie looks fun
ROB who would win? Darwin from your previous video, or Nimrod? Both adapt. And react
Love Spider-Man back in the ‘90s
No. Bullcrap. This is just Marvel tearing down the entire Krakoa Era because they don't believe in actually comic book runs anymore; its all about the movies. I don't care how elegant this goes down, it's happening way too fast.
Well to be fair the Krakoa era wasn't even supposed to be this long. Hickman originally said it was going to be about a 3 year arc
Beyond omega level: The Divine Creator

At this point. The X-men seems like a murderous multitude of psychopaths.
