Get Out Alive really hits home as a recovered addict.
The singer has said that he wrote this song while in rehab. He was addicted to the painkiller OxyContin, and he became abusive and angry and had no idea who he was anymore whilst battling his addiction.
So at the end of the video when the character is waking up, that could represent after Adam got clean. Saying like getting clean was like waking up from a horrible dream

Crazy thing is Skillet being a Christian rock band and being able to reach multiple religious groups and having different meanings between atheists or Christians

Three Days Grace is half of what I listened to as a kid and wasn't even into rock music that much. So many memories
One-X is one of the best albums ever made and probably the biggest and most important reason why this album is so powerful is their singer Adam wrote almost the entire album in rehab. He was struggling with a painkiller addiction and it was turning him into something he's not. Adam is actually such a humble and extremely nice dude ans this album really defines how he was feeling during and after. Adam really has the power of bringing his emotions out HARD in his songs. He had a slight relapse a few years ago but he's currently and had stayed clean for a long time.

This song is about the former lead singer and his addiction to drugs. Powerful lyrics once you know the meaning, seeming normal but fighting addiction and all of the things he did or has done to support his habit.

In my humble opinion I think it's almost unfair to call that song rock. I love BMTH, but that song is mediocre and nothing like what their music is like (mainly their old stuff, and some of the newer songs). Could do a lot better in terms of BMTH songs.

This sone is insanely nostalgic to me for a reason that's probably really weird to most people. Basically in the early-ish years of youtube (2009-2011) there was a trend of making dinosaur tribute videos, where it was basically a collage of different dinosaur pictures played over a song, with this being played in one of the most popular videos that i used to watch all the time as a young kid. This and "get out alive" will always hold a special place in my heart due to that trend lol.

This is hella nostalgia before I got into rap I listed to a lot of rock and three days grace but I haven’t heard them in a long time since i only listen to rap and country nowadays
so i stubled upon your hail to the king video and im so glad a did. as someone whoi enjoys every music genre its nice to see a rapper genuinly enjoy rock (my favorite genre) adn not just brush it of a scream music

I like see the dude LayedBakDFR continuing the react videos and keeping it real with how he feels.
I laughed out loud a bit watching him rock out to the music.
It's about how he kinda hated himself during his oxycontin addiction and how he felt like everyone hated him for it. (Side fact, he's been clean since 2005 and still makes music with Saint Asonia)
He definitely hasn't been clean since 2005. If you visit Adam's IG, he talks about having multiple bouts with addiction since these days. However, he does claim to have been clean since 2017 when his son was born! Just an FYI. I still think he's an incredible artist and the latest Saint Asonia album is superb!
