He was right about the mainstream thing though... BB isn’t “underrated,” being in the mainstream. I legit said the same thing to myself when I read the original comment lol. Tyler Clark is right on the money in that sense lol.
Tyler Clark It is more fun to say, and I’d agree with you that he’s nothing to write home about lol. I also stand with the rest of your comment, cause you’re nowhere near wrong! Lol. I saw them back before the rest of the band pieced out, and wouldn’t see them now if the tickets were free! ... maybe, lol.
@Tyler Clark having watched them live myself less than 6 months ago, i disagree. The quality was good, they were into the music, and drew the crowd in with them. They had an energy about them and a realism that i respect. I will say that in the past, benjamin burnley was not the greatest on stage, nor was the band as a whole. They made mistakes, theyve learned from those mistakes. They make excellent music (im looking at you red cold river and dance with the devil) and have a sound of their own now. If you get the chance, give them a second shot, they definitely have worked for it.
@Tyler Clark people like you should STFU. People got their own taste and they can listen & like whatever they want. What indicators you use to indicate quality of music? Your taste? This freakin world is not revolve around your taste.
Breaking Benjamin hands down is one of the most enjoyable and accurate to the album concerts I have ever been to. If you ever get the chance to see them I would highly suggest you do so.
Honestly I saw them live in 2017, they're performance was accurate and sounded a lot like the albums but they were so boring too watch.. hardly any movement they didnt do much to engage the crown until he pulled out lightsabers and did diary of jane
Breaking Benjamin always makes me feel some aching feeling inside my heart and thats why i love the band, it makes it personal because i can feel it inside my chest, almost as tho it brings up some pain deep down inside and helps me heal from it, does anyone else feel the same when listening to their songs?
soil the stillborn yeah I get that. For me I think it’s because I’ve tied it to my teenage years, which isn’t a bad thing. The pain from those days is real, even if it might be caused by little things. The music is definitely based on heavier emotional subjects, which some may call edgey, and even if thats so, sometimes we as people need that edge so we can feel those raw and messy emotions, even if they’re silly
@@sajinkahnalt I agree a lot with you. All the struggles of the teenage might be very little compared to what can happen after, but still they are the things that really make you grow up. Because yes of course also after teen age bad things change you. But how those small struggles affect you during the teenage is very interesting. And breaking Benjamin really makes you feel those emotions. But this doesn't mean they are childish or "easy". That's one of the many things I love about them
Francesco Bondini the struggles you face as a teen, while they may be trivial in retrospect, they are still valid. They were a lot to handle at the time and were big, and they are proportional to the problems we face now. Just because they aren’t big problems/emotions, doesn’t mean they are trivial
That’s 100% real. I can’t remember the song name, (“Fade,” “Fade Away,” something like that,) has the lyrics “It’s simple, I know that I will suffer in the end...” and it resinates so deeply with me. Being a hip hop/pop culture guy myself, I discovered this song watching the movie Step Up 2: The Streets. It was a brief part where the main white actor was dancing by himself. Which has led to my love of Breaking Benjamin and rock as a whole
I have so much respect for this guy.... goes so deep into the aspect of the music itself, as well as it’s meaning. This is what sets him apart from every other reaction channel.... mad respect man!
I'd love to see them live again. Sadly they didn't play Ashes of Eden when I saw them live last August on the 25th. But they did play Diary of Jane and Failure which was nice.

My bassist and more importantly, very good friend passed away in 2012. This was one of his favorite songs and we started performing this song for him after his passing as a tribute. Whenever I hear this it hits a real nerve for me and is such a powerful song. Love that you checked this one out and enjoyed it, love your channel as well. \m/
This man shows humility and genuine interest in something that he's not been exposed to before, that's class, and he's feeling it too, that's all you could ask from a good reaction
3:10 I feel like being able to go back and enjoy music again and again and always finding something new and refreshing is the best part of good music. Sometimes it takes multiple listens. Sometimes it takes a video. Sometimes it takes a reaction. Sometimes it takes a different mix
I just saw them in concert two nights ago. They haven't lost a step. Very underrated band all though I have to admit they can be a bit formulaic they are definitely one of the best in their genre
I'm glad you touched on how hard it is doing reaction videos. Even as someone who isn't well acquainted with the idiosyncrasies of music, a new song is a lot for me to take in on a first listen. I'm sure for someone like yourself it's even more difficult because of all the nuanced things you notice. Really enjoying your opinion on these rock songs, thanks.
I got to say I have so much respect for you bro. For expanding your musical horizons and encouraging others to do the same. And bringing all these artists from different areas together is awesome!! Mad respect yo 👌
Watching these videos through your reactions is like listening to these songs for the first time through fresh new ears and these songs got me through some shit so these videos are everything. Please keep exploring the depths of the music world and doing what youre doing. I love this so much, thank you for giving me new perspectives.
I discovered this group on their album tour for this album. I was hooked instantly. Some of their songs just hit you in all the best ways and just make you move while you're listening to them.
Finally reacting to my Favorite band. Plus Breaking Benjamin only makes good quality music. All there songs are great. They never made a bad song. However some of there songs are better then others.
The tension built up in the music from the first note of the chorus til the final resolution after "...just about to *break"* is just... aagh, musical perfection. Could not have been written more flawlessly. And the cinematography around that set where the band is playing, with the mirrors and the dusty beams of light and the band moving in unison, it's just beautiful. I don't know how many truly perfect songs there are in this world, but Diary of Jane, along with its music video, is one of them. It's one of those songs I only dare to listen to once in a long while, so that every time I hear it, it's as close as it can be to being like experiencing it for the first time.
The story behind the song and video is that Jane died, and now the narrator (maybe Benjamin himself, maybe someone else) is looking through her diary to try figure out where he fit into her life ("I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane"). He's trying to see how she felt about him when she was alive.
Ben Burnley is an artist who can express emotions in song more than anyone. The cold and cryptic natural of their music is unparalleled. The Diary of Jane is essentially the feeling of anxiety about a significant other, not knowing what makes them tick, and what they find out of you. I'd say "No Games" from their first album Saturate is a another example just in a different tone of anxiety. Ben has also struggled with alcohol in the past. With Dear Agony being the first album written while sober, the tone and message transitions more into light and not giving up.
Breaking Benjamin just posted your video on their Facebook page! Great reaction, great video! Glad to have found your channel, man. Keep up the good work!
breaking ben is my favorite band, i love seeing the perspective of someone who isnt familiar with them. ive always described them as grunge rock (accuracy be damned, genre is complicated) their songs are intended to be poetic and have individual meaning. there isnt a true story to most of their music, its what story does the music write for you. the lead singer has refused to say what any song is about for this reason. good video dude. im new to the channel but this was a fun video for sure

Sorry for your loss and he’s happy to do so!🖤‼️

I remember the days of playing Halo 3, and listening to Breaking Benjamin 😍
Classic🤘🏻
Until the End?
@@el21xx You know it! 👍
Zacheriah P no lol its “blow me away” , I totally forgot xD
This man shows humility and genuine interest in something that he's not been exposed to before, that's class, and he's feeling it too, that's all you could ask from a good reaction
One of my favorite bands of all time
Same...😊
3:10 I feel like being able to go back and enjoy music again and again and always finding something new and refreshing is the best part of good music.
Really enjoying your opinion on these rock songs, thanks.
the greatest performers I have ever seen live. They fill out every venue like there is an entire orchestra on stage. such a classic
Best rock band from the early 2000’s ! Check out Failure, Ashes of Eden or dear agony by breaking Benjamin
You should react to bullet for my valentine “tears don’t fall”
Yes great song
This is the move
I got to say I have so much respect for you bro. For expanding your musical horizons and encouraging others to do the same. And bringing all these artists from different areas together is awesome!! Mad respect yo 👌
Watching these videos through your reactions is like listening to these songs for the first time through fresh new ears and these songs got me through some shit so these videos are everything. Please keep exploring the depths of the music world and doing what youre doing. I love this so much, thank you for giving me new perspectives.
You should react to red cold river by breaking benjamin
I been tryin to get him on this one as well.....gonna keep tryin til i get my way
@@ecobeaST3 yep
Thousand foot crutch Curtesy Call and Skillet The Resistance is what you need to react to.
Yes!
I second this
More like supafly or puppet. Something old skool from thousand foot krutch.
Linking Park is missing
Thousand foot crutch was on one hell of a binge of their stuff.
Face down by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. No regrets, promise.;)
Titus Cara that's going punk! I love it
Been a few years since i heard that one but very good song, nonetheless
@Clint Redmon and you arent? Loll haha glad we can all relate in some way
Time machines up and running, time to get you back to 2019.
Lmao. RJA isn't punk. 😂
They're emo/pop punk. REAL Punk is waaaaay different.
I discovered this group on their album tour for this album. I was hooked instantly. Some of their songs just hit you in all the best ways and just make you move while you're listening to them.
I love the respect he has for metal
Finally reacting to my Favorite band. Plus Breaking Benjamin only makes good quality music. All there songs are great. They never made a bad song. However some of there songs are better then others.
I agree with this 100% percent like every song theyve made is good some are great though but they are all good at the very least
*will u react to Bullet for My Valentine "Tears Don't Fall"?*
As someone who knows Benjamin personally, I love this video
The tension built up in the music from the first note of the chorus til the final resolution after "...just about to *break"* is just... aagh, musical perfection. Could not have been written more flawlessly. And the cinematography around that set where the band is playing, with the mirrors and the dusty beams of light and the band moving in unison, it's just beautiful.
I don't know how many truly perfect songs there are in this world, but Diary of Jane, along with its music video, is one of them. It's one of those songs I only dare to listen to once in a long while, so that every time I hear it, it's as close as it can be to being like experiencing it for the first time.
Should listen to RED: Pieces, Breathe into me, Yours again, Take me over. These are a few that I like but many of their songs are just amazing.
Did you know that Ben actually helped them write all those songs
You have great taste in music dude! Pieces is my fav
I love this song soo freaking much ❤️❤️
Love that you're so open and optimistic about new music
The story behind the song and video is that Jane died, and now the narrator (maybe Benjamin himself, maybe someone else) is looking through her diary to try figure out where he fit into her life ("I will try to find my place in the diary of Jane"). He's trying to see how she felt about him when she was alive.
Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorite bands all time and are still making great music !!!
Please react to Bullet for My Valentine - Tears Don’t Fall 🔥
this^
For real though
Great Suggestion!
YES 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
1&2 plz
I just found your channel today and have already watched so many of your videos. I love how versatile you can be with music
React to red cold river from breaking Benjamin. You will not be disappointed.

It’s (So cold! Idiot
@@julianlyhus3479 😂😂😂 I'm not going to call him an idiot but he did bother me by saying cold lol
💯 Agree with that! Best song they made
So cold*
When he growls the riff at the end... he just gets it🤘🤘🤘
Breaking benjamin - Blow me away, or Hollywood undead - Young
Ben Burnley is an artist who can express emotions in song more than anyone. The cold and cryptic natural of their music is unparalleled. The Diary of Jane is essentially the feeling of anxiety about a significant other, not knowing what makes them tick, and what they find out of you. I'd say "No Games" from their first album Saturate is a another example just in a different tone of anxiety. Ben has also struggled with alcohol in the past. With Dear Agony being the first album written while sober, the tone and message transitions more into light and not giving up.
"More than ANYONE"....lmao
Aaron Lewis ... "Hold my beer"
You should check out Hollywood Undead, it’s like rap and a lil rock in it😎
William Chavez Hollywood undead - Young

@@soulchemical820 oh god, that song xD

Pls react to thousand foot krutch-courtesy call
Definitely!
YEEEES!!!!!
If he is gonna do TFK, do Incomplete or The End Is Where We Begin
breaking ben is my favorite band, i love seeing the perspective of someone who isnt familiar with them.
ive always described them as grunge rock (accuracy be damned, genre is complicated)
their songs are intended to be poetic and have individual meaning. there isnt a true story to most of their music, its what story does the music write for you. the lead singer has refused to say what any song is about for this reason.
good video dude. im new to the channel but this was a fun video for sure
I'm glad hip-hop is going into other music forms. I'll always remember my first hearing as a 5 yr old Run DMC and Aerosmith walk this way
Fun fact: Breaking Benjamin made a song called Blow Me Away and it was in Halo 2
