U never use lowering springs. Always go with coil overs with adjustable dampening. Lowering springs even with upgraded shocks will never ride as good or feel as good as coil overs. Lowering springs actually hurt u more than anything.
i know I'm late to this one, but the engine does rock alot with stock motor mounts, i put in bfi stage 2 motot trans kit and the engine doesn't even move under load. I went with GFB diverter valve upgrade and it works flawlessly. bout to swap to the cts boss turbo upgrade for the extra ponies.
Hey guys I have a question I hope someone can answer. I have a 2016 VW jetta tsi and I’m thinking about getting a muffler & resonator delete but my mom is saying my car needs to be smogged every five years and it need to be 100% stock to pass, if I don’t pass my car will be illegal. Is this true? Someone please help
Man this video helped a lot, I was going to get a blow off valve and here we go, my 1.8t Jetta is sweet stock, but I’m a car guy and i want it to have an aggressive sound, plus add more HP to my car.
I want a Jetta, but the GLI is a little out of the budget. Having a hard time w research. I want the speed of a GLI if I mod a base Jetta can I get there?
The coil overs will help a bunch I have the 2018 sport and lowering springs just give u the look with no damp u literally get what u pay for and it sucks sometimes but it’s worth
DV valve all the way way better than a blow off, throttle pipe i never had an issue and i just ziptied it... try upgrading motor mounts to reduce the motor flex under acceleration
Just had a cts diverter valve installed. Goin to have the shop make sure they are tight possibly even blue loctite them. Havent found anything online of them backing out
You should've put some lock tight on the BOV screws. Also, always do shocks with or before springs. It's amazing how much of a benefit to handling that upgraded shocks (without springs) alone provide. Sorry you're learning these lessons the hard way.
Hey man, love the vids. I installed Cts catted downpipe yesterday and noticed a burnt fuel type smell. Is this normal? Does your car have this smell? Will a tune help this? Thanks man love the videos!!!
Do u have the Manual Trans? I have a 2014 GLI Edition 30 with the 6MT. I was thinking of going Stage 1, but did you replace stock clutch when you tuned?
@@VWcachow because our cars need a lot of separate parts with IS38. The Cts boss is a complete bolt on swap and uses all stock parts. I wanted to do IS38 but am going boss route because I’d need to change a lot of stuff including getting a different downpipe when I already have a cts 3 inch. It’s a pain with similar gains. The boss will get me 400 to the wheel before meth injection
@@ianscott2904 makes sense. Every is38 ive seen doesnt fit the 1.8 mk6. I know you need boost piping, intake, downpipe, oil and coolant lines. But I thought that the oem would be the way to go. Makes sense though.

Ive ran a cts bov for 2 years now on a 14' Jetta 1.8t gen3, never had problems or boast leaks, Around 22 psi.
Interesting

As a first-time modder, this is super helpful to know. Thanks!
Of course!
Dogbone mount with inset will take away the rubbing of the throttle pipe
Hope so 🤞🏽

I have a forge blow off valve, never had any issue
Also the stock dv is one of the first things to go out in these engines, especially if your going to get tuned or anything
Stage 1 apr
Benny B I plan on going to after market DV I’m getting apr stage 1 and stack a jb4 on it
Still recommend the CTS intake for the Jetta from your past video?
Haha the intake is fine ;)

Depends on the engine 1.8t aren’t that bad
I would save for it tbh youll end up putting in ab the same amount of cash into a 1.8 to get that type of power imo
You just have to upgrade motor mounts and dog bone mount. It should help but I completely understand.
Definitely
Will get the CTS passenger and RMM
I have a tsi Jetta 2017 wat should I get first?
Depends if it’s a turbo model or not. Lower it, and get an intake if it’s a turbo. If it’s not, sway bars

Word!

Will def look into getting a RMM

Not the diverter valve, the blow off valve is what you should be concerned about. It’s got more pressure going through it and venting to atmosphere
@@arsenyrazhkov4559 so you think only the bolts onbthe bov will back out not thebdiverter valve?
@@arsenyrazhkov4559 also getting the arm intercooler added in a couple days. Got neuspeed charge/discharge pipes. Hoping to atleast feel some gains.

I sure am. It’s a kick in the nuts finding these things out down the road 😂 also we had blue locktite on the nuts

What kind of blow off did you used
would you ever go is38?
I’d go CTS boss kit

Thank you :)
interesting....
I'm not doing anything to my 1.4t....I'm fine with it being slow and quiet.
Fair enough lol
