She gave me zero problems (picked it up at 40k from a VW dealer in 2014 traded it in 2016 for a mk7 GTi) in that entire time. I did my own carbon cleaning around 80k at home. Had it tuned within the 1st thousand miles of ownership all the way up through when I sold her still running perfectly.
      I miss that car a TON and may buy another one next year as my daily. My now wife still misses that car as well lol, everyone likes to give me grief for letting my beloved Sylvia go haha.
      Great car if you're looking for a wonderful daily to eat up the miles. Took many long trips, I miss that. Tuned with the DSG also tuned had EXCELLENT highway power characteristics. This time I'll buy a manual (that was actually my first non manual car, but I wanted to try out a dual clutch car and still has a mk3 manual for when I needed to shift it myself) and just upgrade the clutch.

    2.0 2016 here. I was surprised of the fuel economy 400 km in 40 liters of propane and 400 more on the gasoline tank. Speed and acceleration are also OK easy for coding via VCDS and tuning. VW tuning community always goes by crank HP. 350HP really means 270-280whp on a tiny K04 dying out at 5.5K rpms and being that its an APR kit he paid $2300 LOL. 28psi on a K04 is definitely taking it out of its efficiency range so the torque probably has a huge boost spike and dies off by 4k rpm.

    • @Heb132
      @Heb132 5 лет назад +2

      Wow ... you're the second person to have completely missed what he clearly stated. He said 300hp at the wheels, not 350hp. And peak boost at 4100rpm, not holding. That's what happens when you prejudge and don't pay attention.

      @@Heb132 2:53 seconds he explains "should" be 300 wheel but mentions 350 as well. Also, full boost at 4100rpms on a K04 is pathetic for how small it is. These things could almost be a RS3, that's why volkswagen will never put AWD drive in them, and they keep making them cheaper and cheaper. If they would have kept with this kind of quality and AWD, you could have slapped a good tune, turbo, and suspension and saved yourself tons of money buying a RS3.

      White is such a plain color it can make these cars which are already pretty vanilla look even more bland. So that's why the decals. Looks good in person. I get the three pedals tho. But you can't beat the dsg shifts.

      Heb132 The DSG farts are fun as hell no doubt, and there’s no question they’re lighting fast, but there’s nothing like the sound or feeling of hittin through gears in a real life stick. I’m just a simple man 😁lol.

      @Heb132 5 лет назад

      Yes, pre-facelift. VW introduced an engine variant mid-2013 which produced 10 more HP from the factory. But, a k04 upgrade, which was probably the best upgrade you could get for the mk6 platform power-to-cost, could no longer fit with the variant engine.

      Son of Tamriel honesty at least the civic has its own style the Jetta really is probably the most plain an generic looking car in its class. I love BMW and Mercedes but I have a hard time getting over vw's blocky and simple styling (which is also very much a thing in audi's)
