Oscar, I bought a char broil cover at a thrift shop for mine. I got it for like $5. I couldn't pass that deal up. If I were you I'd look for one that will fit a 36". There are alot of universal covers out there.
Walmart has a hooded 36" version for 399. Lowes has this one for 450. Looks like the lowes one weighs about 10 pounds more in description. Was trying to figure out differences between them
I just bought my first griddle two weeks ago I got the same exact griddle you have only in 30 inch and it’s a three burner so far I don’t regret taking the plunge and spending the money that thing is just a cooking machine it’s fantastic
I bought this Model from Lowes online and it was delivered a week later. Your video is fantastic. I didn't know the two trays colapsed, that explains why the cover wouldn't fit. Thanks again for a great video!
Tom, so glad you found this video helpful! That’s why I do these videos and it makes me feel so good when people find them helpful. Fold them side tables in and get that bad boy covered. Thanks so much for watching, I truly appreciate it!
Do you have issues with rust on the lid or sides? From the lowes website that seems to be a very common complaint from this model is the rust that develops so quickly. I want to keep mine in my backyard covered. I’m pondering this model and one model similar to it at a Academy for the same price. Thanks!
Tyler, I keep mine outside covered. It does get normal rust on it but it isn't anything major that I've noticed you can usually buff it out pretty easily. I wouldn't let it deter you from getting this model.
Thank you for this. My wife just go me and at first I was like....uh, not sure this is what I want to cook on (hating my current grate grill). I'm feeling better and may just get a small charcoal for the other stuff. My biggest issue is that I'm always corroding burners on every grill no matter how vigilant I try to be. This will solve that problem!
I have a feeling you will love this griddle. So versatile and fun to cook on. Having a small charcoal grill is a great way to compliment this great griddle. Thanks so much for watching!
I saw this in Lowes and the base seems more sturdy. I also read on the Blackstone site that the Natural Gas Conversion kit does not work on these grills. I think that the removal tool does not work on the jets. I think I also saw you can get another tool, but it would need to be verified. Happy Cooking
Thanks for the thorough review. I bought a 36 inch with removable lid on from BJs in March since it was $100 off, costing us only $299. I wish I would have seen your review because I would have bought this one with the lid you can cook with. But it is manageable right now and I love cooking on it. Thanks for giving such a good review, one I can share with some friends who are interested. Nice job.
That’s a great deal at $299, I’m jealous! I’m glad you enjoyed the walkthrough. I am all about giving people the leg up on a product so they can decide if it’s for them or not beforehand. Thanks so much for watching!
So glad you liked the video. I think your going to love this blackstone. Roughly 3 months into owning it and over 30 cooks on it and I can honestly say it was worth the investment. So much fun to cook on! Thanks for watching!
I just got this exact griddle at Lowe's. I have not put it together yet but I'm looking forward to it this weekend thanks for this video it sealed the deal. Also it being the only one in stock near me. I would have preferred to have a stainless steel model body but I have a cover for it so it should be good
Awesome! Glad the video helped seal the deal for you. Your cover will help protect. I am a huge advocate for always getting a cover for outside bbq cookers/bbq toys. Though it’s not stainless steel it will hold up well covered. Now, get that bad boy assembled and start cooking some amazing food! Thanks for watching!
Good to know. I was under the impression that all of the blackstone griddles were convertible (kinda dumb they aren’t). Thanks for the info on the culinary series good info to know!
I wasn’t aware that the Culinary series griddles (got mine at Lowes) couldn’t be converted to natural gas...that is, until yesterday. The conversion kit clearly says says it works on all 36” Blackstone griddles. I ran into an issue during the conversation and had to call Blackstone. They informed me that the Culinary series griddles aren’t compatible and it would void my warranty if I converted it. That very likely would have influenced my buying decision had I known that. I would have still purchased a Blackstone, but I would have purchased one that could be converted to. natural gas. I was really looking forward to not having to fiddle with propane tanks again. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time.
That is a bummer. Like I said I was under the impression all blackstone’s could be converted. I mean you can still technically convert it sounds like, but your warranty is voided. Which blows! You could wait the warranty out then convert I guess. All of these griddles should be convertible in my opinion.
I don't know if mine is messed up but trying to take the lid off isn't happening. I have tilted it every which way and it doesn't come off unless the griddle is slide forward.
@@TeeWayEatzBBQTreatz I've got the same problem. Actually, I took the lid off before I assembled the grill but now that I've finished the assembly, I cannot get the lid on!! I am trying to put it on by myself at the moment (which I think should be possible) but getting super frustrated! Can you post a video of how you are taking it off on on?? Thanks
I would definitely still get a cover. While the lid would help keep certain “debris” off the surface it really isn’t meant to be the sole cover from the outside elements. I always say “protect your investment”. Thanks for watching!

The one featured in this video is the 36”. There are a ton of 36” blackstone models on the market this is just the newest Lowe’s exclusive. Most of them are very similar. I’d call blackstone or return it to Lowe’s. You shouldn’t be having issues like that after only one use. Calling blackstone and utilizing the warranty may be the easier option than taking it apart and taking it back to the store. Hope you get it fixed. Good luck! Thanks for watching!
How does the garbage bag attach to the frame? Do you just put the bag around it and cinch up the draw string? Seems like you might have to tie the bag or string to keep it from falling off.
