Okay, I just followed your guide, took my time and was successful in replacing my screen! A couple things I ran into: I would recommend removing the speaker from the bottom. It's like four more screws but when you're putting your motherboard back in it seems to be really attracted to bending the flex going to that speaker. I found removing it takes about 5 seconds and screwing around with trying to leave it in cost me 5 minutes and a super bent flex (it was fine). Just made things a lot easier. The speaker grills are made of metal and will bend if you're not too careful. They bend back but again it's easier to just be careful with them in the first place than to mess around trying to bend them back. Some of the screws are different lengths, if you're able just separate the screws from each component that you remove. Makes it a lot easier to put the right screws back in the right holes. Anyway, it took me about 3 hours to do it my first time. I know I'd be able to do it in about 40 minutes my second time. It was a lot less scary than I thought it would be, and I'll be doing it again when my screen breaks next. I think the most time consuming part was just my being super gentle removing the back cover since it's glass, but I've learned it's not as fragile as I thought it would be. Thanks so much for the guide! Good luck everybody!
Thanks very much for this. Followed your video as some don't remove the screen but replace the frame and screen. Works a treat. Nothing better than a fresh new screen 😁
Thanks for the video. So this would be the first time I am planning to attempt the replacement. Can you or someone share what reliable /economical site you have procured your front glass panel from.
Low temp, I personally set to 700 degrees, but use for a shorter time, seconds. Use lower heat 400 degrees or lower and keep the heat moving. These don’t need much...
Hello ! I didn't understand why don't you juste heat the back screen, remove it and replace it for a new one in instead of removing all element (mother board, camera, etc), can't I just leave all connected and only replace the screen without removing the rear case ? Thanks for your support !
It is possible to replace the screen without removing the motherboard, but it is not recommended as the lcd flex cable may be damaged during that technique. This method does take a little longer but is well worth it.
when changing the screen of my cell phone the impession scanner stopped working can you tell me if the contacts on the back cover, if not properly fitted, can the digital sensor fail?
Just completed this process, everything worked fine, except my Bluetooth and Wifi will now not turn on? I even re did the entire process to make sure everything was connected. Screen works fine, LTE data works fine, device seems ok, except Bluetooth and Wifi , strange. Any help appreciated!
Damian Parsons is also like to know that. I’m having s hard time finding an actual pixel 3 “screen” on Amazon. All that comes up are stupid screen protectors
richardsth1 no, this particular glue is gel based and can be reopened in the same fashion (heat). I no longer use this glue as it is not waterproof, instead I now use B7000
I replace the screen on mine everything looks fine but now I have no picture, when I press power button I get short vibration but the screen never turns on

Ty your help is much appreciated. I need to replace mine 👍
Thanks for the video.

thanks!!!
Its a very complex installation.
What temperature do you use for your heat gun?
Low temp, I personally set to 700 degrees, but use for a shorter time, seconds. Use lower heat 400 degrees or lower and keep the heat moving. These don’t need much...
@@TheFixTech thanks!
@@TheFixTech So happy you answered! This was my question too.
Is there any attachments to squeeze sensors?
I would really appreciate if you give a link for the display.
And is the display oled panel? Or LCD?
It's an oled dispay
What else can I use to heat and loosen the glue?
You can use a hair blow dryer, heat a tea kettle and place on the screen (do not overheat)
Dude. Where you at? No way could I manage to do that myself.
You wouldn't by any chance be located in California?
Is this the same procedure for the non XL Pixel 3? Thanks
It is very similar, the pixel 3 has two lcd cables. Some things around the motherboard are different but essentially the same.
@@TheFixTech thanks

@@TheFixTech Again so happy you answered this, it was my second question! I may try this, not remove MB.
Nice video good job!
My pixel 3xls front screen glass in broken I don't want to change the whole display but just the glass is that possible ?
Possible but not without expensive tools.
when changing the screen of my cell phone the impession scanner stopped working can you tell me if the contacts on the back cover, if not properly fitted, can the digital sensor fail?
Most importantly is the cable needs to be completely inserted. Check the cable for damage.

Bluetooth and wifi is the same antenna so it is most likely not connected poperly
The replacement is an OLED panel?
Yes
@@TheFixTech Wow perfect! And where I can buy the replacement? I'm in Italy and I don't know where buy it. Can you help me plz 🙏
@@_Alex23 I found one off ebay.
i rather buy a new phone than doing this 😂
I want to replace my pixel 3xl screen please suggest
After screen installed and i tried to turn it on then nothing appear on the screen just black screen is there any solution for this?
Press and hold the power and volume buttons together to force restart the phone. If does not work possible defective lcd.
Where did you get the display?
Damian Parsons is also like to know that. I’m having s hard time finding an actual pixel 3 “screen” on Amazon. All that comes up are stupid screen protectors
@@artbygabe aliexpress
Aliexpress
Cheaper to buy the whole phone than the screen. They sell just the glass online cheap. How do you put just the glass on?
That is a hard job and requires special tools.
@@TheFixTech yes it is i found a video. Looks crazy. I ordered a new phone lol
This is good content. But geez dude a 20 minute video with no sound?! Like at least throw a little bit of low music in there if you’re scared to talk.
Bhai shop kidar hai mery mobile ka bhi glass toot Gaya hai
You used Loctite Super Glue, does this mean that you'll never get the case opened again in the future?
richardsth1 no, this particular glue is gel based and can be reopened in the same fashion (heat). I no longer use this glue as it is not waterproof, instead I now use B7000
So what's the average cost nowadays?
300 from ubreakifix. Get a refurbished replacement
Display touch rate
I replace the screen on mine everything looks fine but now I have no picture, when I press power button I get short vibration but the screen never turns on
Try to reset the device, press and hold the power and volume buttons together until the phone restarts.
@@TheFixTech Nice answer, I wish the peeps would reply to let you know if it worked or not.
