Had a guy in my battalion that fell into a well in Afghanistan and went straight down. The quick release for his carrier allowed him to dump it and get to the surface under stress at night. It's a worthwhile addition to any carrier.
Defense Mechanisms MEPC would be an excellent fit for you (make sure to get the molle rear plate bag), especially with the hybrid cummerbund. I would also recommend you to get Qore Performance Icevent shoulder pads, they are great for creating some space between your body and the plate carrier.

Good stuff! Pay attention to the key points he's talking about folks, there are a lot of great systems out there but it's nearly inevitable some augmentation/ customization will need to be undertaken to cater a rig to the individual. I've done multiple modifications to various systems over the years out of necessity, so that's something to always be cognizant of. For brand semantics, one of my favorite manufacturers is Shellback Tactical, their old and new PC's are quality and fit great. LBT of course makes great systems too but they're generally a little more costly. I've also got a 5.11 TacTec PC but have had to make several major changes to it due to not wanting the quick-release pull cord system. The alternative is to run a slick/ low-profile Vest and a Chest Rig or LBE or Battle Jacket over it, those work great as well and have just as many if not more modular options than a PC.
It also depends on how much Žiga is ready to spend. Sure, if money is no option you can get a custom-made plate-carrier that will fit your body and your body alone! Think of it this way. A plate carrier is essentially fabric, just like a suit or tuxedo: - Can a large percentage of the population go to a store and get a tuxedo that will fit them OK? Yeah. - Would an off the rack suit ever fit you as well as a tuxedo that was tailormade for your body? Of course not. The same idea can be applied for plate carriers that are either One Size Fits All (hint: if it fits all, it fits no one), or come in some non-standardized sizing protocol (like Small-Medium; Large; XL-XXXL) that doesn't carry over between brands and sometimes not even within different product lines within the same brand (I'm looking at you Crye!) Since Žiga already knows Husar, he should try getting some time with their Kirys model if lightweight is something very high on the list of priorities. I have some friends wearing agilite gear and swear by it, while personally I love my Ferro Concepts Slickster (bonus tip: get it in that Black Multicam for the much sought-after drip!).

I'd recommend Ars Arma A-20 Beskar. It's a light-weight carrier built out of 500D Cordura and laminates, slim enough that it can be worn covertly if you remove front placard and shoulder pads. It has laser-cut molle-minus attachment grids on platebags and placard, and you can choose between 3-row skeletal or 5-row molle-minus cummerbund with or without Tubes QD locks. It's also Veltex-lined on the inside to accept all kinds of internal padding and has vented mesh in the middle of platebags for use without pads. Ars Arma also makes full-plate and multi-piece hex-grid padding that vents very nicely. The only problem is that it's made in Russia, so there's 6-9 weeks backlog right now for active duty orders and the rest of us get to wait at the rear of the queue. OTOH, they seem to still have Beskar in stock, as if nobody's buying a semi-slick low-profile plate carrier to go to war in. And with sanctions in place, shipping would be a bitch.
If you´ll use it for hikeing than maybe the "Plattenträger MGS" from MD-Textil is something for you. It´s lightweight, modular, and if you need to you can implement a rappeling harness into the PC, kinda nice to have in the mountains (or if you want to fastrappeling from a chopper or builing xD)
Currently have the Agilite K19 Gen2, its really good and comfortable, but one can have problems shouldering the rifle because of the shoulder pads/quick release. Obviously TUR Gear plate carriers are the best, especially ones with cobra buckles for shoulder strap release and inner velcro-attached pads with D30 filler, unfortunately you won't be able to get your hands on it for a while. I've been wearing an old perroz designs lpsc I've modified for the past two years its my favorite carrier of all time having used most all of the big brands. It isn't a full featured heavy plate carrier however, and it wont bear like massive weight. if you're using something slick id go perroz, if you need something to carry allot check out Shaw Concepts.
Very nice, solid and well-equipped plate carrier, very good choice :) Btw i think that Templar Gear plater carriers are still the best ;)
I know I should really get a plate carrier... I hope there will be a follow-up with a good answer to your question.
Been rocking the Spiritus Systems Lv119 for a while now and i gotta say its pretty cool
Got a elastic cummerbund with lots of storage for mags, radio etc and the overall modularity is awesome
Though after a few hours it gets a little rough on the shoulders without some extra padding
Sentinel 2.0 from Combat Systems or CGPC3 from Custom Gear.
I don't know if you can get this in your country but, I would check out defense mechanisms their stuff is made to order but you can get a ton of options. Just check to see if it will ship and is not ITAR restricted.
I know this is old but have you tried Direct Action Gear? I love their spitfire plate carrier, it has the zippers for a Crye pattern pack and it’s really well made.
The best one is the „mehler vario system s1“ trust me
Agilite K19…..best one ive ever put on
I'm running Direct action spitfire MK2 atm only down side is the availability. But its combadible with other brands
Try looking into mos tactical you can customize your plate carrier in depth
Obviously TUR Gear plate carriers are the best, especially ones with cobra buckles for shoulder strap release and inner velcro-attached pads with D30 filler, unfortunately you won't be able to get your hands on it for a while. First Spear Assaulters Plate Carrier is really nice too, but it really lacks soft shoulder pads from the beginning and I would prefer inner side of each panel to be covered in soft velcro (like the one they use on their cummerbund)
MEPC for the win. Second to that is the k19, but ive never used one and am not sure how well it does with shouldering a rifle
Agilite K19 solves most of your problems. Great plate carrier and well tested. Make sure to get a Gen 3 cause it’s very adaptable
@@rastavelli obviously you didn’t know there was a gen 3. I don’t have it cause I just ordered one since last week is when they released the video of the new gen. From the looks of it, they listened to customer feed back. I have ran a 5.11, banshee 3.0, and jpc. No bias but go ahead and make your assumptions.
@@rastavelli sounds like you had a bad experience with Agilite and now you go around hating. You can literally check the video they came out with and fixes all the problems you stated. I comprehend in multiple languages, but I’m done with this conversation
Get some mark IV armor with magnetic mag pouches. If it works for the Spartans, it'll work for you
Heads up...Haley Strategic has 30% off til 6/19/22.
Hailey strategic makes a great option
Also the most expensive ones :D
@@PolenarTactical true but you buy the plate sold bags separately now...
I love Husar. Their products are solid but their lead and dispatch time is atrocious. It is always plagued with delays and supply chain/stock issues. I'm currently running a FCPC v5. It's definitely a very expensive investment but Ferro's customer service and products is top notch.
We have the same experience, Husar products are top notch but the delays and poor business decisions moved us away from selling their products. Hopefully they have changed over the years because we would like to work with them in the future
I use a Spiritus Systems LV119
Pros
great for shouldering rifles
very minimalistic
very light weight
the shoulder straps are very low profile and have no issues
the cummerbund is very rigid
routes wires and hydro-tubes like a dream
load bearing
many color choices
no intrusive features you never use
absolutely no snag points
cons
expensive
EVERYTHING SOLD SEPARATELY
molle back panels are sold separately and are proprietary
some people find adjusting the cummerbund to be annoying
there is not much expansion for breathing (depending on how you set up the cummerbund)
DANG ! Should have put in the squeaky noise as he walked away
Damn! That was a missed opportunity :D
Where are y'all buying your plate carriers? I bought mine from Spartan Armor Systems and it's a super basic Molle shooters cut vest with 11x14 front and rear plates as well as 6x8 side plates (which now with experience I should've got the 6x6 side plates)
Wait the SOP t-shirt you are wearing is quite nice, where did you bought that from?
WaifuDynamics
@@SoppoMod Find it, thanks!
Check out Defense Mechanisms MEPC.

Thank you, I thought my plate carrier was choking me, it turns out I need those things.
Go loom at the agilite k19 one of the best i have seen and have worn
Nice sopmod T-shirt
Sioen tacticum in Finland. Ask if they can made it?
Beez combat can custom make and plate carrier for exactly what you want.
Mine is the AWS OCPC
You may be interested in a new product from Templars Gear: 4th Generation TG-TPC.
What's the best plate carrier? Just like the best carry gun. The one you are wearing.
Maybe the Tasmanian Tiger MKIV would be a fit for you.
Uarm is a good company. I love mine😊
I love my Tasmanian Tiger MK IV
Maybe take a Look at PCs from Zentauron. I like them a Lot.
Hands down. Velocity Systems scarab
