Tia talking about being with family then having to say bye and get back mentally to gym, it’s so true. I’m living in a different state than most of the family but they’re only a few hours away. But it’s hard to say bye. Watching the Toomey parents celebrate with Tia was one of the best parts of the CrossFit games. 👍🏼 good luck from RI.

Glad you had an enjoyable break and especially that you were able to spend some time with your parents after being apart for so long, Tia! 🙂 I don't do anything fitness-focused professionally, but I absolutely get the mindset of taking your time getting back in (to anything), so it's more like you miss it and are ready to get back versus dreading it.
And thanks for the honesty on the workout, Shane!!! 😂😂
Tia: I'm interested to know what your definition of "taking 4 weeks off" is...exercise (and food & drink) -wise. I.e., did you touch a barbell, bar, dumbbell, bike, rower, run, swim...break a sweat, mobility, etc.? You make it sound like you did no exercise...and carried on like a regular crap eating drinking couch potato! I think that I have a pretty good idea of what your life during "season" looks like...but what does it really look like during these four weeks. Four weeks of margaritas, chips, and sloth could take a toll...at least on a mortal😉 I have a strong feeling that your "vacation" is most of our heavy training and clean eating haha, and that you, as usual, are being humble.
Yes like when she beat her hubby in a fitness competition just a week or two ago .... If a women beats a men in this category is very impressive.... It would be crazy if my girl defeated me like that

I love the bobsled / luge racing - so I hope Tia goes well & look forward to seeing it happen ! PS. Have done the last few bends at the Park City run - scariest thing I have ever done & that includes doing a couple of track training days on a motorbike.
