I love Fiona Spence. Vera Bennett (then and now) is my favorite character on PCBH...it's a very deep character and Ms. Spence played it to perfection. Not just the bitchiness, and hardness but to let us peep, in bits, here and there, to the underlying frustration, loneliness and vulnerability of Vera, was a joy to watch (in the 70's/80's AND now again, thanks to RUclips. I love the whole show, but Fiona Spence, in my opinion, hands down was the best ACTRESS on the series. Thx for posting
Thank you for uploading. Vera Benett is one of my favourite charachters in Prisoners. Fiona Spence seem like a very interesting person, with integrity and class. I like that!
Richard making a statement about wobbling sets on the strength of never having watched the programme, then backtracking like his feet are on fire. What a twonk.
6 years later came Foxtels modern Wentworth. New version grew an enormous world wide cult following. I've watched the entire new series and the first 95 episodes of Prisoner Cell Block H and slowly counting. 😃
@AllGrownUpSteph I quequed to see her after the show ok she was tired,I said to her and Jane Clifton, they looked good after all the years since Prisnoer,Fiona remained poker faced,Jane laughed and said it was plastic surgery. I asked Fiona if she was still on "Home And Away" she replied icily twice ,she was "still on air",in otherwords she wasn't in the show anymore, anyway good actress, not the warmest of people.
@AllGrownUpSteph Hope I didn't upset you, just being honest, yes maybe had a long day but I came away thinking you're not very nice, doesn't take alot of effort to be civil,ah well.
Fiona Spence: great actor and what a classy lady.
Fiona is a super actress. I love her. She has a wicked smile.
She's just WONDERFUL!

Vera Bennett was the best character on the show when she left the show the show is starting to go down
They should have got her do guest appearances as governor of Barnhurst.

May seem strange after all these years but I'm new to PC BH. Fiona / Vera-- she's the best.
She was a legend
I know! How time flies! Check out how they're in Liverpool! Shows you how long ago it was! ;)
What a beautiful, classy woman, great actress too.
This was 1990. I was downstairs waiting for her to finish. Fiona was absolutely lovely.
She was also in Home & Away.

I still don’t know how those two got the job, he was always so awkward sounding and looking. And interrupted a lot. Can’t stand the prick!
The sets never wobbled! That was Fawlty Towers!!!
She also just sorted that smartarse interviewer out. Good job Fiona.
Wonderful! thank you for uploading May i remind you ( I run this prison) : D
No worries! Glad you enjoyed the clip! :)
I've got a few other clips I'll put up from my collection when I get chance :)
Is there any more tv interviews with prisoner stars from over the years we could see please? spread the word.
I've of, and met, a lot of actors that play villains but are nice in real life.
She's well fit.

Fiona always reminds me of Jane Curtain.
LOL, I know! He can't help himself! It's no wonder poor Judy's a nervous wreck most of the time! :))

Richard Madeley really is a new low
@67psych lol i suppose it would have been better then :)
I met Fiona Spence after a Prisoner show in 89,she wasn't very nice being honest.
Jane Clifton aka Margo was lovely though.

ROFL! You'd look a bit haggard too if you'd been married to Richard for all those years! Ha ha! :D
I hate clips like this and didn't watch it. VERA BENNETT IS A REAL PERSON AND NOT THIS ACTRESS.
My god Richard Madeley is tedious
