Oh, man! Why hasn't this documentary been released yet?! It looks amazing. I think Prisoner: Cell Block H is my all time favourite show. I was 7 when I first saw it on ITV in the UK in 1987, 8 years after it first aired on Australia and a year after it finished in Australia. I used to have to stay up late and watch it in bed, or set the VCR timer to tape it. It took 14 years after I first saw it to finally see the last ever episode in 2001, on Channel 5, when was I was almost 21. 22 years after it began in Australia and 15 years after it ended in Australia. What an amazing series it was. I love Wentworth, too, but nothing will ever beat the original. I've watched the whole series twice, but I could watch it over and over again.
Prisoner appeared on Australian tv 2 nights per week Tues night on Channel 10 between 8.30pm - 9.30pm and same time on a Thursday night .. like you I began watching in here in Melbourne australia in 1983, I was hooked. It was such a different show compared to usual crap on tv here in Australia at the time
yet ANOTHER rare and brilliant piece of footage on prisoner from mayiremindu, which i REALLY enojoyed. Peita toppano hardly seems to of aged in nearly 30 years lol she looks great! and so do the others. thanks so much for posting this!
Absolutely love this show it was great to see so many of the cast, Peta Toppano is brilliant but fans of her should check her out as the scheming Jilly Stewart in the 1985 series of Return To Eden where shes anything but sweet! Cell Block H is sorely missed, but thank goodness for the DVDs.
@bcrocker33 Funny how EastEnders and Coronation Street are thought of as serious drama in the UK. They are buried on cable TV in Australia and few people bother with them!
I would love to see all of this, it's a shame that you put this in your description "Highlights from the as yet unreleased in its entirety On The Inside documentary" but i will keep waiting.
actually I found a site I can download full prisoner episodes from, then burn them onto a dvd to watch on my home player...don't have to worry about it anymore on here
Thanks but I don't want to have to watch it on my computer if I don't have to, would rather watch it on my home theater. I can just keep watching the you tube clips though that people post.
Remember when Nola was there and Bea was on the run. The TV station was making a documentary and the department gave the women all sorts of things like make up. Then the day of the documentary the women were putting on make up. Way too much. Colleen) You shoud see it Meg, most of them look like tarts Meg) Most of them are
Loved Bea and The Freak!

Great video. Thanks for uploading it brought a tear to the eye. I love Prisoner Cell Block H.
Thanks for uploading this - I'd only seen one third of it before - what a pity it couldn't be released with the boxset :-(
Prisoner cell block H is my favorite I absolutely love it i am watching it again now for the 7th time
Patsy King doesn't look much older than when she appeared on Prisoner, and she's 80 now!
At 64 I'm watching them all again Conner's was my Favourite 🇦🇺✌️
The gloves were only shown about 5 times during the whole run, which is less than I was expecting to be honest.

The song at the end was good, it became a hit record in the uk.
Does anyone know who narrated this? It kinda sounds like Melissa Doyle
Margo looks good
Could you tell us the name of the site pls? : )
This couldn't have been filmed more than about 15 years after the show ended, which would be about 15 years ago now.
about 2003 I think

Val lehman thought she was the star of prisoner no that job went to the one & only sheila florence
Listen to the Freak doing her Dr Evil commentary, inside her cruel mind of why she treated Bee Smith that way!

Be a was a scrapper and I think maybe if Val was honest I bet she was a real life scrapper. She's fast on her feet to be fake
