Looking forward to summer boating Tom! Need to get my 26 footer summerized and cleaned up. At some point you need to do a kitchen video on a pontoon. Or atleast BBQ with cabinets etc. Love the videos!
If you can help get RUclips to pay more of my bills that’s the only kind of stuff I would do!!!! Super fun unique projects with tons of customizations and fabrication. Right now I gotta pay the bills and put food on the table by restoring customers’ boats which are usually more traditional layouts and accessories. Someday we will get there I think, maybe, I hope!?!
I'm curious if you ever put any kind of lubricant in the shift cables and I was also curious as which console from pontoon stuff is your favorite as far as function, looks, and accessibility
No lube added to cables ever. If they need lubrication they should really be replaced because that would indicate moisture is getting in somewhere and it shouldn’t. My favorite console to install and to use is the Large Helm. It has space for everything and then some, and although it has a wide profile it works on 8’ and 8.5’ wide boats.
It looks like they might be out of them temporarily. You could try emailing their customer service to confirm or to figure out when they'll be available again. I know they weren't cheap...I think with all the switch and gauge panels plus the console it was around $1700-$1800.
Thanks for watching and for the comment!! No judgements about pontoons, the beauty of a pontoon is that it’s a simple platform that can turn into anything and is budget friendly for folks who just want a big, stable, and comfortable way to be on the water!!!
I want to buy that console for my Pontoonbut I can't find the electrical switch panel and the panel for the radio. It's not on Pontoonstuff. can you share a link to those parts?
www.pontoonstuff.com/collections/luxury-consoles/products/luxury-deluxe-console-with-premium-gauge-and-switch-package You've got to select the color (burlwood or carbon fiber) and then the options for panels will pop up below. That way you can select exactly what you want.
Hi Tom can you do me a favor. The top area where you mounted your gauges can you provide me the measurements of that rectangled area? I want to see if I might be able to flush mount my Raymarine MFD in that area but the pontoon stuff website doesn’t show the measurements.

@@tomspontoons thanks! I missed the options part.
@@ralphcencebaugh6495 All good! I think sometimes, depending where you click from on their site, it doesn't always have those panel options.

You’ve got about 24” long by 5” to maybe 5.5” of usable space on that dash.
I have been waiting on this build
Excellent! Hopefully this is helpful as it's a thorough installation of this helm.
