Trying to update a 10 or 15-year-old pontoon boat and get it looking like new again. With upgraded lighting. And your videos have been very, very helpful on seating, panels, and floor replacements.
Glad the channel has been helpful!! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your help and advice. Big help!!
Happy to help out. Thanks so much for the contribution to the channel!!!
@@tomspontoons well, hope it buys you two a breakfast or a couple of margaritas while on your boat. Appreciate you help. 🍻👍🏼
Wow Banks is getting bigger!
Sometimes I feel like we wake up in the morning and she’s grown significantly from the night before! It’s crazy!
Banks is “Looking Good” and growing ✌️
She's still a maniac, but becoming a larger sized maniac so fast...and she's not even close to being done growing I don't think!
I have 76 ft of them on my garden border here in Florida, and they are regularly submerged when it rains. The connections out of the box are not IP67 even though the LEDs are encased in silicon sleves like yours. I replaced them with waterproof Xconnect pigtails. Have not had failures in 4 years. The controller has built-in wifi, so I can control light effects using WLED app on my phone. My boat installation is new, but I am confident it will hold up just fine in the Central Florida lakes. I even have them on my golf cart and roof line of my home. It is a bit more complicated because I solder and seal all my connections, which is something the average person probably would prefer not to do.
@@-shadyG Very nice! You've got those lights really dialed in well, and it sounds like you took the time to make sure yours will last for the long haul.
Thanks for another great video.
My pleasure! And thank you for watching!!
Very nice!
Thanks for watching!
Congratulations on getting married! 🎉
Thank you, but it’s been quite a while now!
How do you install the LED lights on the seats and hide the wires? And installing dock lights onto your panels and keep it clean and hidden as well with the wiring. Haven’t seen a video on either one of these two yet.

I have my toon lights installed about the same way. Except I have an additional data wire because I am using WS2811 IP67 individually addressable LEDs controlled with a dig2Go controller from DrZz.
The only color-changing lights I've trusted to install are the ones from Green Blob Outdoors. I will have to look into the ones you mentioned. I found that the connections of the lights and controllers on cheaper sets from amazon are in awkward spots and will not hold up to the marine environment for the long haul.
Tom, do these lights help with picking up chicks or do they just help prevent cavitation?
Haha! I couldn't tell you...but they definitely prevent evening cavitation from happening!
Hi , nice video. Where can I buy the LED strips from?
Thank you, and thanks for watching. You can use this link to shop for these LED strips, and Enter TOMS5OFF to save 5% too.

Will this create shadowing at every brace since it’s breaking the chain of light?
There's so many LEDs and light coverage by the time it hits the water that it doesn't create shadows.
@@tomspontoons cool my cross braces have a tiny slot above each one so I’m going to run mine through there
@@loganfuller9413yep, I’ve done it that way on probably 10+ boats that didn’t have other options possible.
C4TT!
Thanks!!!
