An excellent review, Jeff. I agree with you on all points. Untuckit is overpriced, from what I can judge. I think the best route is tailoring your favorite casual shirt if you want to wear it untucked. Whenever I consider making a clothing purchase, I consider the tailoring required as part of the final price. With that in mind, I decide if I really want to make the purchase.

It’s not just the cut of the shirt that gives it it’s price value. Untuckit shirts are tailored already to look good untucked (hence the name), but they are also Wrinkle Free, pre shrunk, and sizing is consistent.

I recently bought the new light flannel untuckit shirts for $65 on sale. The quality of the light flannel is excellent. Better than the normal shirt. Totally agree on your price criticism. As for dress shirts, I’ve recently bought some Charles Tyrwhitts for around $50 and really like them.

Appreciate the honest and fair review. Was thinking about buying one, but I just couldn’t justify paying $99 bucks for a casual shirt. Like you said, I can find casual shirts just as decent for half the price at other stores.
Will consider buying one when they go on sale, in the meantime, will spend my money elsewhere.

Thanks for the review! Fair and honest is what I follow you for. I had been considering trying one of these shirts, but the price felt a little unjustifiable. I have similar build to you, so your reviews have a huge impact on brands I like to try. J Crew was my typical go-to, but you've helped secure that.

I tried Untuckit . A casual long sleeve button up. Everything fit well. The main thing I don't like about all their button up shirts, formal included, is the narrow collar. Even a narrower tie looks too big under them.

God honest review, greatly appreciated. There are too many people that think the untucked dress shirt is not a true type of shirt. When done properly, it is a category of its own. Moving forward, can you share what alterations your tailor makes. Perhaps a before and after of a particular piece of clothing? That way we can see how you buy your clothes and get an idea of how to do the same. Like do you shop for your widest body part and everything else is altered? Just a suggestion, take care and keep up the good work!

This totally helped me decide if I wanted to order from them. I struggle to find the right shirt, I’m 6 ft, wide shoulders, and long as hell arms. Shirts that fit my arm length are always too baggy, and the opposite for ones that fit my body.

I liked your review, Jeff. I wear Untuckit in both long and short sleeve shirts. I actually like the workmanship and like you I'm 5' 11. I wear a medium regular that keeps the shirt from fitting tight around the underarms. I like wearing shirts as comfortabily as possible, unless having to be formal w/ the shirt tucked in. My main reason for moving to Untuckit is that, and a lot of guys don't know this, Untuckit gives active military and veterans 25% off on all their clothing options. I, like you, love Ralph Lauren Polo's as well. I looked into custom fit shirts but w/ the 25% off most of them are usually more expensive than the Untuckit brand. Thanks again for the review, my brother👊🏾

Great video! I agree. I was really looking forward to trying untuckit so I visited the store in San Francisco. After seeing the shirts and trying them on, really felt that for the quality the shirts were completely over priced. I liked the shirts but totally not worth $98. I left without buying a shirt and instead bought other dress shirts that fitted well and just had them shortened at a tailor.

I heard about this company around 6 months ago. Checked out the website and I was impressed until I saw the prices. Definitely too high. I live in Asia and I'm a little bigger than the majority of men here so I am used to ordering my clothes online and getting them tailored, which is still cheaper than Untuckit. It's even better for me to take a trip to Thailand to get some custom made clothes. I can get quality custom tailored shirts from Bangkok for around $50-60 each.

Review is pretty much spot on. I have four of these. For "me" they fit perfectly and look great. I Just don't think these are worth 100.00. I bought mine when they went on sale at 69.00 and this might even be just a tad high for these . IMO these are 50.00 to 60.00 shirts. Above average shirts and I like them, just not sure they're worth 100.00. Great review!

Good morning! I know this video is a couple years old, but I thought I'd add my 2 cents. I'm 5' 8" with a runners build. A dress shirt, jeans and Clark's desert boots is kinda my uniform. I happened upon an Untuckit store while on vacation early last year, any their Med. Slim fit me perfectly. Understandably, we are all built differently, so I won't go into fit.
Price. I bought that first shirt for $89. Expensive. However, now that I have my sizing, I order online, and that is where patience pays off. They have a large selection, and if I wait for a 25% sale, and take that off of a shirts sale price? I can buy their dress shirts for $50. - $55.
Anyway, great video. Great content, and every day? Well done.

I have a horrible time finding shirts that fit me nicely and don't make me look big in the mid section or tight in the shoulders.
These untucked button ups fit me perfect in M slim fit.
I have 10 of them and still buying more. I also love their 5 pocket chino's in slim fit.

I’ve just received an UNTUCKit shirt today. In the UK they are £80 which works out as $100. I’m 5’’7” 160lbs and 38-40 chest. My dilemma is that casual shirts are just too long untucked, something I thought UNTUCKit would solve. The shirt was a medium slim fit and fitted me perfectly in the chest and arms, but the length was down below where my zipper ends.
Maybe I’m missing something, but how does a medium shirt worn by a guy who’s 5’10 and probably fits perfect, supposed to fit another guy who’s 5’7” wearing the same medium shirt? Any a guy of 5’5” who also wears medium, well it’s going to be even longer!! I’m returning it for a full refund. Isn’t fit for purpose on me anyway!! 🙂

Yep, this video was right on point. I suppose because it's summer. But I'm right in the middle of figuring out what shirts have to be hemmed up a the tailor. My guy won't tailor the hem for $5 or $10 bucks...I pay about $20 for that per shirt. So Untuckit.com WAS on my mind. Thanks for the video. I think my plan is to order shirts from TailorStore.com and let them know that I need shorter length shirts, then log in my measurements shorter, and have them make them to a " untucked length." I'll pay $100 bucks per shirt, but the quality will be better, I feel. Yeah, this was weird how right in the minute this video was....thanks.

Thank you for the review. Can you explain what (at 6:53) type of tailoring you are getting down for $5-10 bucks? Also, what type of tailoring do you typically have done to your shirts? I'm curious if there are limits to what the tailor can do and if I'm better off just getting new shirts shirts vs. trying to turn regular shirts that I already own into shorter, more slim fit (body and sleeves) shirts? At some point I assume the cost of the tailoring isn't justified?

I work at UNTUCKit and have to say the polos are absolutely amazing. Haven’t found any better ones out there. Fit wise you should be in a medium slim and maybe look into the Performance Button Downs to give you some stretch and flexibility in your arms. Price point wise we are a tad up there but we are competitive with Brooks Brothers, Polo, and Robert Graham. But not all are $98. We range from 58-98 so you can grab them at some great deals. If you need any more info message me.

Thank you for the review Jeff I’ve been wondering about untuckit I’m a little bit difficult to fit I’m not as tall as you are 5 foot seven 220 pounds and a weightlifter so finding something that fits being broad shouldered and having biceps that a pretty big the only place I can find that will fit me is Johnson and Murphy

Is Johnson and Murphy shirts long? Do you have to get them tailored?

Jeff, thanks for this video. I’m always seeing the commercials and have wondered if they’re worth the price tag. Just out of curiosity, where in Philly is their store? I live in Delco so not far out of the city.

Great review O.G! I'd definitely go with the polo but like you said, their price points are a bit too high.

I'm just a beginner in style, but I feel like I can get a dress shirt at a thrift store and pay to get it tailored to wear untucked and still come out ahead instead of buying this brand.

I like the idea of untuckit too but that price..wow Drop it down to at most $40 and I'll consider it. I'd never spend more than $30 on a shirt and especially if I can't even try it on first.

Great review. For $100, I better have a a personally tailored shirt.

White shirt was NO BUENO...Polo fit was right on you tho, and I was really feeling the polo's collar.....Salute!

I have an almost identical build to you and the large slim works the best (you found medium slim too small in arms, and medium regular too loose in waist, large slim solves both these issues).

I'd knock them down one more salute. I need more than a hem and average quality. Their selection is short as well. Great in concept.
