@@ChrisRogers correct me if im wrong but the gopro with coating removed was mounted on the right, therefore its the one with droplets. unless you have switched them in post. you could have put a label which is which in that case.
@@BoredBoy888 the gopro could very well have been on the right side and edited to the left in the timeline, the left one definitely was without the coating don't worry.

Very informative. I just bought Luminar, but I wish there was cross grade pricing to get Luminar AI as well.
When you talked about screengrabs you mentioned VLC and Quiktime. Is there a reason you would suggest those over another video player? I’m usually taking my screengrabs right from imovie when I’m editing.

When skydiving, mine gets a blur in the middle of the scrren soon after leaving the plane... do you think its the coating that causes that?ive tried anti fog wipes

You can buy mask defogger fogger from any diving store, but spit also works.
Can you share about how long to burn the lens please. I dont want to over do but definitely want to get rid of the water spots. I was way disappointed about that when I used it for the first time. Thanks!!

Dont Buy GoPro 9 .... Before Buy google about gopro 9 sound issue and freez bug... My gopro have been recovered by gopro, they sent me back someone used camera, but worst thing was its still cracling and poping in my video audio..

My bro, have you had any fog issue with max lens? For skydive in brazil is fogging all the time :(
have never had fog but that's usually when there is big change in temperature, I know when skydiving it's cold air up high so make sure your GoPro is not in the sun or getting hot before you do that.

at 0:14 you are talking about gopro hacks, but I have a DJI osmo action myself, are there actually people who use this camera for this? Maybe it has more to do with the realsteady software in combination with the gopro or does that also work for the DJI osmo action?

Chris, this will be lengthy, but hopefully insightful for you:
Be prepared for some disappointment with "The Remote". While the battery life is astonishing (8 hrs powered on only takes it down to about 90%), that's about the only thing that they got right. It randomly disconnects quietly (without any audible beeps) and will drive you insane... and WILL cause you to miss great shots. When it does disconnect from the camera, it rarely, if ever, reconnects itself. You usually have to remove power from the cam to get it to reconnect. And don't even try it with multiple cameras! I figured you should know, as you seem to be more photo-centric and it's important that things work the very second you need them to.
I run two 9s on the kayak for fishing, with one of the cams behind me and slightly out of reach. I keep them externally powered and running in Hindsight all the time so hooksets are not missed. I keep the batteries removed to mitigate overheating. I have them remoted so you don't hear me say "GoPro Start Recoding" every time I catch a fish. I improved the disconnect situation quite a bit by getting a second remote and having one dedicated to each camera. It still happens a few times per outing, but was impossible when running the two cams on one remote. I've installed waterproof disconnect switches on the power cables to make the reset process a lot faster. And that is a ridiculous set of steps that consumers just shouldn't have to take. "Our product sucks very badly, so buy another one to mitigate our screwup that we will probably never fix, because we generally abandon our products when they don't work as we claim they do". Read: First remote, 4 Black overheating, Karma, etc.
Thanks for the tip! I have a Max Lens Mod that was intended for snowboarding, but I don't think it's going to help that situation. I went out once with it and had ice crystals stuck to the lens and ruining shots... even in dry powder. So I quickly put it back in its case and haven't used it since. I suppose it won't hurt to try, though. Nice work, man! Much appreciated!

Hiya! Is there a way to graduate the G-Dome filter so it decreases sky exposure? Thanks for any ideas. Had a grad filter on my 8 with a ulanzi case and miss it, the lens mod will never permit this :(
Look up 'ND' filters for your gopro model!
@@pbft.j unfortunately not possible with the lens mod. but that G-Dome would be bigger than the lens mod so could work if it was graduated.

I was excited to get my GoPro 9 Black for my upcoming backpack trip, but the camera would not work out of the box. I attempted to charge the two batteries I received with the bundle, however, the second battery would not charge. I played with the second battery and was able to charge it to 99% overnight.
I viewed all the beginner RUclips videos and thought I would set up the camera and shoot my first video.
But......upon trying to navigate the settings on the camera's touch screen, I could not access any of the settings. I was limited to 2.7 video mode. I tried to navigate the camera for 5 minutes before the camera battery dropped from 99% to 83%. Maybe 5 minutes searching for additional settings. The camera became extremely hot. Uncomfortably hot!!
I removed the battery and inserted the second battery I received with the bundle.
I was now able to access the settings, however , the touch screen was so bungled, I could not select the option I was pressing. I pressed and pressed the ICONS, but the touch screen was not picking up my selections. How has this camera gotten so many good reviews?
I had shot about 1 minute of video on this camera while trying to become familiar with it, but the camera would not function. I am not one to quit or give up, but am returning the camera. I really wanted this camera to be my go to camera, but it was a disaster.
