BATTLE TAXI
Great movie!
Starring Sterling Hayden
1955
Great movie, lots of action , good acting, DeCarlo n Hayden good chemistry. 👍 👍
Good western movie. Lots of action. Yvonne DeCarlo certainly made everything better with her shapely shapes. Thank you!
Going to the movies back in the 1950's was a very special occasion. Sterling Hayden films were always fun to see and full of action.

Nothing beats a great western.
Especially the westerns of old.😊
killing "Indians"?🤣
Sterling Walter Hayden was an American, author, sailor and a decorated Marine Corps officer and an office of strategic service agent during world war 11. wow
World War 11?!
a surprisingly well made film and an even bigger surprise being it was written by Rory Calhoun and has intelligent dialogue and even better photography
1955 western does it get any better
So very true, Uncle D!
Lonesome Dove was damn good! I missed the original showing cuz I was busy with the U.S. Marines and trying to raise a family at the same time. But it's in my movie playlist on my channel if you care to watch it.
Ask seaman Hayden
☺️
Sterling Hayden was a fine actor. He made many classic movies. His last film was The Godfather where he played a corrupt police captain. His role there was short but he made a big impact on the movie like helping it to make it into a classic. There aren’t any characters like him in Hollywood anymore.
Begging your pardon, but 'The Godfather' certainly was not Sterling Hayden's last film. He made films for more than a decade after 'The Godfather, ' chief among them Altman's "The Long Goodbye" (my favorite Hayden performance ever!), as well as Bertolucci's '1900' with De Niro, 'Venom,' 'King of the Gypsies' and even '9 to 5' opposite Dolly Parton among numerous other films. No, he was a very busy man after 'The Godfather.'
Also Hayden was a hero in the Marine Corps. google it.
You are right @Chris Perrins. Hayden made more of an impact with a few movies than many did with many many roles!!
@@jimhemphill2841 not MC, But with OSS in Tito s commy Yugoslavia, where he obtained a dose of redness into his hardcore hide. Definitively he never was yellow ..He was an obsessive mariner w private schooner, sailed to Tahiti from Sausalito. Read his memoir WANDERER. Ocean was his home, ashes to the SF Bay. Movies were just an avenue to finance his yachting, that s why he never committed to major contracts to major studios.
@@particleboy3584 Thank you. I didn't know. Now that I do I will hunt those films to watch 🙏
Jut started the flick and there are already two memorable lines:
"If you're gonna have to kill a man, it doesn't hurt to be polite."
and
"I guess we're all common... one way or another."
This is the ultimate bad-ass, man's-man movie. DeCarlo plays beautifully off Hayden.
Excellent Western, Sterling Hayden was good actor. Thanks PizzaFlix!
Love, love, love Sterling Hayden!!! Thank you so very much for posting! Blessings.
Worth watching, a determined man.
Sterling Hayden is one of my favorite western stars next to Randolph Scott, George Montgomery, and Clint Walker.
Clint Walker?
Cheyenne
Those are all good but my favorite is probably Rocky Lane.
One thing I observed in this movie is, Sterling Hayden knew how to take care of a horse and ride it well, how to get on the horse, hold the reins, gallop and canter with it and just as important, how to clean and put his saddle on it. These actions, above everything else in the film, stood out to me.
WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN HIDING THIS GREAT PICTURE / THANKS FOR SHOWING IT HOPE YOU KEEP PLAYING THE BEST WESTERNS / IT HAD THE SOME OF THE BEST ACTORS / I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I SEEN THIS MOVIE / THANKS AGAIN
Great movie ! Thanks for posting !
My favourite kind of movie .
A great western definitely worth the watch! Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤
they sure did make some great western movies in the 1950s
Good movie. Great quality. Thanks for uploading.
Great movie with excellent scenery. Loved it.
Sterling is one of my favorites, too. Loved him in the Kubrick films, Dr. Strangelove and the early caper film, The Killing. He's made so many great films. The John Huston film, The Asphalt Jungle is another great caper film, with Jean Hagen and Marilyn Monroe, as well as Sam Jaffee, and Brad Dexter. Sterling Hayden films can be very special, or terrible -- he had to make many films due to contractual commitments. He became bitter and cynical about the business side of movie making, which is why I enjoy his good films so much. Seeing him put on the clown mask and do the robbery in The Killing was a special moment. So is his portrayal of General "Jack" Ripper as Peter Sellers foil. Shotgun is a better than average B western, but if you have not yet seen Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Love the Bomb, you owe yourself that special treat.
I wish I could see every Sterling Hayden movie ever made.
20:60 You gotta take care of your horse. It's like oil in your car.
Sterling Hayden. The only person I can think of who gave two great performances for Kubrick: 'The Killing' and 'Dr. Strangelove.'
S.H's. Gen. Jack Ripper in "Strangelove" IS supurbe.
Been too many years since seeing BBJ, can't remember S. H's. roll. Did read "Wanderer", also a long time ago, and remember it as a compelling story.
@T Z That's my favorite of his.
I will say: there's also Phillip Stone who played Delbert Grady in 'The Shining' and Pa in 'A Clockwork Orange' as far as Kubrick.
Love Sterling Hayden, especially Altman's 'The Long Goodbye.'
Agree agree, Hayden performance was just super, and great movie. Peter Sellers in that movie to.
Xmas eve and I sit watching this all alone.
Marry Christmas partner.
New years eve and "me too"!
What a movie. Sterling Hayden was outstanding.
Sterling. Adonis.
You sound rather desperate, Brenda
Thank you for posting 😊
Beautiful scenery~ beautiful Buckskin!
A *_N I C E_* newer upload of a fine *_Full Feature_* film, PizzaFlix = *THX* 👌
Sterling Hayden in another well-statured role amidst his admirable career of rather brilliant performances in so many other different film genres!!!! And "looming tall" here above Yvonne DeCarlo at his height of *6 ft. 5 in.* = A Big Man!!! 😮
Beautiful filming site locations around stunning Sedona, Arizona, with even a "quick cameo" scene at Sedona's famous Cathedral Rock.👍
Thanks for uploading the western movies.
Hayden one of my favorites tho I loved all the cowboys back in the 50s
So cute to see the lil slice of pizza show up on the top left screen and then a slow fade. So much nicer than when people just obliterate the screen with their channel name. Much appreciated PizzaFlix!
Thank you @PizzaFlix for all your great movies
Westerns are like old prized paintings...you want to keep watching!❤
Fan of Sterling Hayden knows his craft. Great western story line and sceneries fantastic.
Very good Western! Great Cast!
Thanks you!🙏❤️
LOVED HAYDEN AS GENERAL JACK RIPPER IN "DR. STRANGELOVE,1963!"
a great film, fantastic Sterling Hayden!
Great movie !!
thank you
Fantastic movie
The narrator is the best part of friday pizzaflix. He rocks!
Great channel which I had to subscribe to. So many movies to get through. I hadn’t seen this one before so thanks for upload.
Hi Electric Warrior 🍕Thanks for joining PizzaFLIX. May the Sauce Be with you 🍕🍕🍕
That's how a movie should end 🎬👏
I was 12 months old when they made this film
I was 5 years old👧
Early 1955 I was brand new! This was a brand new movie for me too. Thanks so much Pizza Guy!
I was 8 years old.
Sterling Hayden
Former Commando and Marine
Highly decorated!
WW2
Lilly did mention her life in Transylvania but never mentioned her adventures in the wild west.
Thanks 💐❤️😊
Love this western movie 🍿
Nice. One. 🎉🎉🎉👌👍
A TRUELY TAUGHT TALE!!
STERLING HAYDEN plays this character very well
Do ya ever notice that out there in the desserted desert there is a full blown orchestra playing very sad music all the time? My goodness when do the creatures of the area have a chance to have quiet & sleep? Strange in the least. Peace on earth. Goodwill.
Stanley Kubrick used Hayden Sterling to good effect in 2 films, and for the short time he was in “1900” he played off Burt Lancaster very well. He was brilliant in “Asphalt Jungle”.
1900 is a terribly boring movie IMO
Thanks for My Pizza Flix Fix .
Hi Dennis 🍕Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX. May the Sauce be with you 🍕🍕🍕
EXCELLENT
Yvonne De Carlo BEAUTIFUL!!!
Yvonne DeCarlo... one of my favorite flavors.
What a combination, Zachary Scott and Robert Wilkie what a couple of bad guys
Nice movie 🎥
2023. Folks, I have never been to Arizona. Does the Arizona of today look this…..stark and raw, as in these old westerns ? I know folks who move to Arizona for health reasons, but I personally think I would shrivel up and die if I lived in surroundings such as these. Here in the South we have so many trees and so much greenery everywhere. Will someone please tell me what Arizona REALLY looks like ? I will appreciate it ! Thanks.
That was pretty good...👍
Mr Flix,I Love your taste in movies..Also the FACT that you do not try to over monetize with commercials makes Anumber1,in my book.
reading through the comments i'm sure i will like this one, in fact halfway through and i do!
nice movie
Many horses and not one fly. So unreal.
Good movie.
At 19:50 Yvonne's husband Bob Morgan has a bit part as Sam (guy holding shotgun on wagon) doesn;t even get a mention in the cast list
It was a good one!
Gotta like the fiction of the 50’s movies, wire push up bras long before they were invented😮
Movie called "Shotgun", you'd think that Sterling would be carrying one.
He's only seen with that Winchester.
Its Mrs. Munster!
A great Western ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice very nice indeed
I’ve never really cared for Westerns, but I thought this one was pretty good!
Nice actor ❤❤❤❤
have we got TALL MAN RIDING ?
03:18 From daytime to night instantly. LoL Tnx for the film.
Those outside scenes were shot during the day but they didn't under-expose them to make it look like night time (which was the usual practice of the time). smh
I have always liked westerns, especially John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. What strikes me as strange about all the old westerns is that most all of the ladies are wearing a lot of make-up. Women in the 1800's did not wear make up unless they was a bar made, or a street walker.
Ya-von DeCarlo! haha
Sterling Hayden was the first choice for the part of Quint in the film Jaws, but he turned it down.
Nice actor S Ivonne ❤❤❤
THERE"S A SONG CALLED SHOTGUN BY JR. WALKER AND THE ALL STARS ! ! ! !
Yup. Great saxophone solo in it.
no snakes were harmed during filming 😀😀😀
At least one was!
Nothin' like a good masculine western.
Nice.
If I were a lawman in these times I'd have a set of Binoculars and a Sharps rifle! Take the outlaws out in the open and at long range!
Never turn your back on Zachary Scott oh, Robert Wilkie, you will regret it
5:43 maybe they should've explained to him he should take responsibility for his actions that landed him in prison.
Good
Well its the first time i ever saw a horse get shot in the cowboy movies
I was 3 years
@ 33:45, the noose stretched & snapped this movie plot's neck.
Good film, always makes me laugh how these guys punch hell out of each other, then there's nothing wrong with them afterwards, in real life they'd have broken noses, jaws, missing teeth, closed black eyes etc etc.
Buena película puzzaflix
Simple but effective.
I cried.
No I didn't.
Don't laugh.
You cried too!
