First of all, thank you for the effort, and secondly, what I was complaining about is that some medals need certain adjustments and the Super Guard should be nerfed from some because it's so broken.
Re-nerfing the superguard may not actually be possible since it's tied to frames. Honestly, I don't think I'd ever be able to learn them in their GCN state. I only ever was able to do it for two different enemies: Spinies and Clefts. The leniency is one of the reasons I'm actually wanting to pick this version up.
Are you saying it's easier to Superguard in this remake? This could just be me, but I'm having a bit of trouble pulling it off myself. Still, if it is easier, then it makes for a nifty surprise! Also, if you'd rather have a tighter timing, would the Unsimplifier help you at all?
Well to be fair, he didn’t even seem angry, he was just having fun and wanted to “play”. This was a mere fraction of what a Whacka is capable of. If any Whacka were to be fed up with the abuse and get mad… Every final boss in Paper Mario combined would be shredded in an instant
@@IAteABox I said it because in PM64, when you gave him the last blow, he said "I can't take this abuse", and well that, a reference I wanted to make, but the truth is that Whacka was really holding back, he is even so humble that he self-harm to give us a chance, what a nice dude
people are saying prince mush fits as sans better because he dodges but i think about the opposite instead based on their execution sans exploits the battle system by using his turn as first, doing nothing in last, dodging (which most monsters aren't capable of), lastly utilizing a karma gimmick to bypass your defense no matter what whacka also exploits the battle system too, increasing the hazard chances by a ton and has a gimmick that lets him generate a whacka bump every time you land a hit no matter what (and has a move involving hitting himself for the purpose of getting bumps), which is a VERY damaging attack whacka can do, instakilling mario or his partner in one turn if they don't time their guards right both undyne and prince mush fit together because they trained themselves up to this point, but both sans and whacka are simply meant to be a joke, yet frustrating enemies which is why it feels so insulting to get a game over by them
This superboss looks like a lot of fun! I'm very tempted to give him a try. The only downside is that I'm not keen on provoking Whacka just to gain access to a fun, unique challenge. Still, it is implied he truthfully enjoys the abuse and sees it all as a game. He even was a good sport when Mario defeated him.
I'm so angry. I heard Whacka was a new boss so I did the 100 trials again only to realize you have to make him leave Keyhaul keep first. Then I had to do the last 50 floors AGAIN for the third time
one other badge you could try for this fight is power jump (not to be confused with power bounce). since it's a single big blow, it'll only produce one bump
This fight becomes trivial if you stack power plus badges and use power lift. He still killed like 4 of my partners, but I was able to deal massive damage with each one of them and ended up winning.

I went through the Pit of 100 Trials again, and he wasn't there. I even remember smacking him with my hammer at that spot.
Gotta be 8 times
Hey if you are trying to get the e-mail to appear make sure you have no Whacka Bumps in your inventory.
Does it count if I keep it in the shop’s storage?
@Ange1R78 It does count. As long as it isn't in Mario's inventory your fine. So you can keep it in the store.
I got the email while having his bumps in my inventory. I think it doesn't matter as long as you whack him a bunch for him to go away.
@@Metalguy40 yeah this didn’t happen with me until I stored them. Maybe if you have only one bump. But the email wouldn’t appear for me otherwise.
@@YoshKen That's weird
They really said, "time for payback!" Whackas were tired of being bonked for healing items from everyone.
Also omg major w for that one toad with the ultra shroom. I salute you.
Shoutouts to you getting Merlee this far down in the pit! Also, amazing that you got a Meteor AND TWO Bowser Statues!
This battle increases stage hazard chances to make more Bumps.
BRO WHY DID THEY GIVE HIM A AMAZING BATTLE THEME!? I LOVE IT!
Did i mention that this is the only way to farm more Whacka Bumps beyond the original 8? Just rematch Whacka yet again etc
I love how they seem to have "turned up the wackiness" in this fight by amping up the odds for stage shenanigans to maximize the chip damage whacka takes. Both the meteor and bowser statues are really rare, but both of the videos ive seen of this fight have them.
If I didn’t appreciate Vivian’s veil technique enough before, I sure do now
Why does he have the best boss theme in the game?
People in 2005 woulda thought this is a troll video with hacked file
I never wanted to whack a whacka before. Now that there's a boss battle to go with it, I've never wanted to whack a whacka more in my life.
all the more reason for multiple pit trips.
Imagine making the most unassuming, adorable creature one of the strongest enemies in the game. It's perfect!
Haha they finally gave him his own fight? He was gonna have one in the original paper mario 64 but they never did it until now lol.
It actually isn’t
Are you saying it's easier to Superguard in this remake? This could just be me, but I'm having a bit of trouble pulling it off myself. Still, if it is easier, then it makes for a nifty surprise! Also, if you'd rather have a tighter timing, would the Unsimplifier help you at all?
Whoever dropped the fork mid battle must've been hungry for tasty Whacka Bumps.
Holy cow, Whacka shenanigans aside, you got both of the rarest stage hazards in one fight, and the Bowser statue happened twice!
With this, we can say that Whacka really couldn't take that abuse anymore
Well to be fair, he didn’t even seem angry, he was just having fun and wanted to “play”.
This was a mere fraction of what a Whacka is capable of. If any Whacka were to be fed up with the abuse and get mad…
Every final boss in Paper Mario combined would be shredded in an instant
@@IAteABox I said it because in PM64, when you gave him the last blow, he said "I can't take this abuse", and well that, a reference I wanted to make, but the truth is that Whacka was really holding back, he is even so humble that he self-harm to give us a chance, what a nice dude
@@MusSupremeJAR03 Ah, gotcha gotcha
This is the paper Mario equivalent to the genocide sans fight in undertale
Wack OW, you're gonna have a bad time!
*_Dirtybrotherwhacker-_*
this is more like undyne
sans would be more like prince mush
sand is prince mush, do you see how he dodges all those attacks?
people are saying prince mush fits as sans better because he dodges but i think about the opposite instead based on their execution
sans exploits the battle system by using his turn as first, doing nothing in last, dodging (which most monsters aren't capable of), lastly utilizing a karma gimmick to bypass your defense no matter what
whacka also exploits the battle system too, increasing the hazard chances by a ton and has a gimmick that lets him generate a whacka bump every time you land a hit no matter what (and has a move involving hitting himself for the purpose of getting bumps), which is a VERY damaging attack whacka can do, instakilling mario or his partner in one turn if they don't time their guards right
both undyne and prince mush fit together because they trained themselves up to this point, but both sans and whacka are simply meant to be a joke, yet frustrating enemies which is why it feels so insulting to get a game over by them
What makes this fight even better is that Whacka isn't even mad at you despite everything that's happened.
Dude just wants to have fun or chill.
Paper Mario's acting like he clubbed baby seals before.
Wait….im trying to 100% the Tattle Log, does that mean I HAVE to hurt this poor creature to do so?!?!
*You whack-a the Whacka.
*The Whack-a whack-a back-a.
I did the Pit of 100 Trials without getting the RDM Extra Issue because I didn't know that's how you trigger it-
Whacka did _87 damage in a single round?!_
It is funny how he flash red in pain when he get hurt and he grows a bump on his head and he smiles like he felt nothing 😂🤣lol!.
Whacka (GOD MODE)
HP: 108
ATK: 10
DEF: 1
Special: UNTOLD POWER!!
Bio: You whacked him, NOW YOU MUST DIE!!
If angered, all his stats multiply by 10!
"Surprise, mutha whacka"
0:00-0:04 Knuckles' theme in sonic 3 and sonic & knuckles for the Sega Genesis
I wonder what battle theme plays when you have the nostalgic tunes badge equipped?
No difference.
There's something i love about the silliest goobers having the most epic themes in gaming
seeing whacka at such low health made me wonder "can whacka kill himself?" im so glad you actually went ahead and showcased that hehe
I half expected that diglett meme where he pulls himself out of the ground and has giga muscles
Whacka sprite: He's just standing there, menacingly!
Whacka reminds me of a Diglett because he uses rock throw and earthquake.
Yup and we don't see his full body. His face reminds me of Quagsire tho
In the Pit of 100 Trials, Whacka whacks YOU!
Remember, this is just him playing
I'm so angry. I heard Whacka was a new boss so I did the 100 trials again only to realize you have to make him leave Keyhaul keep first. Then I had to do the last 50 floors AGAIN for the third time
I made it all the way there the 2nd time and now I have to do it all again because I didn’t smack him enough, absolute misery
one other badge you could try for this fight is power jump (not to be confused with power bounce). since it's a single big blow, it'll only produce one bump
We finally got it after all these years!
Whacka may be humorous but don’t underestimate him. He doesn’t play.
You feel your sins crawling on your Whack.
I love this lil creep. :P It's about time he got his turn.
This fight becomes trivial if you stack power plus badges and use power lift. He still killed like 4 of my partners, but I was able to deal massive damage with each one of them and ended up winning.
Normally I don't look up a guide without even attempting the boss, but I really dont wanna die and have to spend another 2 hours going down the pit
5:41 B O W S E R S T A T U E
Whacka as a boss is just fucking wild. How could such a cute thing be a boss? oh well, not all cute things are nice XD
So how does the music sound with the GameCube badge on? Since the fight seems to have a new music track.
I believe that the completely new music tracks will play with the badge equipped, and the old tracks will play along with them.
Maybe I can strike a deal with the big N for me to make VRC6 8-bit covers of the new songs so there will be a difference? I dunno, a lizard can dream 😅
Whacka: Hi Damien
Me: the hell?!
Whacka: I remember what you did to me in the late 90s! Remember Paper Mario 64?!
Me: Oh yeah!!!
Whacka: Payback's a fickle mistress!! *attacks*
I'm still trying to deny the existence of this.
You want FUN? Whacka show you fun!
Whacka looks like a diglett and quagsire 🤣
Nintendo knew that we would love this and well the boss looks strong as well
I was like "why isn't he finishing him off???" but then it hit me
My head canon is that the moles aren't going extinct, so many are in hiding that the people think they are going extinct. Its very likely case since i would not like being beaten with hammers.
That’s honestly what I was thinking, as this one doesn’t even seem hurt that much. They just leave, or maybe they just have a naturally low population.
6:09 ...that... is the first time I've EVER seen the audience toss ultra healing items.
...let that speak for itself
