Gmc does not ask for it. Indian councils do

I did not need it for taking plab exam. For gmc registration, they did not ask me for this last year. They instead asked me to get my degree translated by their translator services. I am not aware if the rules would have been changed.

However, I would suggest you to stop worrying about the expenses of a future years away, rather focus on your MBBS right now. Also, a lot of things would have changed 5 years down the line :)
