Good to hear your thoughts on the clutch and first impressions. It will definitely start to break in and get easier to manage as you put more miles on it. But as you stated, there are some tradeoffs vs. the factory single disc. We also offer upgraded single discs which would be perfect for the power this car is currently making and even a bit more and would really shine if someone wanted to take their car to a track and have some fun there. The customer must have some big power goals in mind with the twin disc setup! There are a handful of manual Supra owners out there who absolutely love the clutch kit we came up with for a stock single disc replacement/upgrade option. Similar to the 1000 Series Twin, we are using a billet aluminum cover instead of your typical stamped steel cover like the factory equips the car with. Looking forward to the progress of this car though. And I think we can mostly all agree, the MK5 Supra makes much more sense with a manual transmission!
Which single disc should I buy for my a91mt Supra if I’m making 650 whp and torque?
does the shift assit still works is there any warning light and my car is jdm spec and its right hand drive can your clutch be fitted to my car which is a a91 premuim 3.0 MT japan spec right hand drive.
Nice setup on that Supra. Looking forward to seeing dyno results and future drives. Also I can agree with you on the newer cars being automatic vs manual making more sense. All due to the experience, engagement during the drive, newer cars as you stated, very light steering feel, most things feel like they are designed for comfort then, bam let's put a manual transmission in it. As for the steering, most new cars now with the super light comfort feeling steering. Sometimes a significant width change in tires from undersized factory width tires can weight up the steering a bit. One of my cars came with super cheap wheel option of 195/45-16's 6.5" width wheels.... Wheels, tires were way too small for the car. Swapped out to 18" inch x 8.5" wide upgraded factory option wheels, wrapped them in Michilen Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus 245/50-18s, wow what a difference. Car not only rhode more comfortable but, handled so much better and the steering had much more of a weighted feeling.
Great video Jon. Excited to see more on the manual Supra!
loving my a91 mt. sweet video
Awesome content, is there any clutch chatter?
adjust your engagement point close too the floor
your leg is way more efficient pushing weight when extended than it does retracted. just think of leg pressing at the gym, you can push more than double the weight when “extended”
Also, driving a heavy clutch feels like that for the first month, after that things get way easier
BTW-my clutch holds 1000 wheel
what power mods does this MKV have?
What do you think is the max HP on this Clutchmaster before the transmission need love?
The transmission itself is rated for 443 lb-ft and there's no one out there that modifies them for more power.
Thic, he be missing his Supra.
Bro imma be real. 100% do not miss these cars
@@ThicWhipsthat hurt, would you give us a quick explanation as to why?
@SpaceMonkey prolly because its too small and has visibility issues compared to his Beemer
I'm 99.9% sure you live in my mom's neighborhood in CLT, streets look spot on. :) Love your channel, l live in NY now, but visit on occasion, hope to see your 1M clone in the wild one day.
Just went back and looked again, 100%, she lives a block down from the pool/clubhouse. Turning left at that stop sign versus the right you took. I'm an official internet stalker now...lol
Tell her imma need that pool access code 😂😂

Do you miss your manual m2 n55? I believe the manual and overall feeling was much better than the Supra am i correct?
Just started watching. See the Maryland tag, did this guy move to NC or did you visit MD? I was born, raised in MD, moved here to NC 10 years ago, been visiting/vacationing NC/SC 15 years prior to that. Don't get me wrong MD had some nice places but, in general sucks for so many reasons, especially when measured against NC. as a state. I wanted to move to NC/SC since 2nd year I visited, wife said "No", simply because most of our family still reside in MD and PA. Hopefully this guy moved here, likely wanting to escape MD for many reasons, lol
He sent the car to us
@Thic Whips that is awesome. Shows the reputation of the shop, that is killer 👊👍
wait why does md sucks?
@bigpapi Baltimore #1 foremost. I was born in Baltimore, we moved out of Baltimore when I was around 8/9. Crime in Baltimore, Frederick, and other larger cities is much higher than national averages. I have been in more fights than I can count, all defensive. Speaking of defensive, MD laws suck when coming to defending yourself, limitation on what can be used to defend yourself as well as to what extent. You break an arm, leg, jaw ect... you risk being charged. I have never been into drugs, selling drugs, criminal activities ect and still I have had pistols pulled on me 4 times, twice by cops, shot at once by a group of random (criminals? Trying to steal my vehicle, rob me?). I had a shotgun pulled on me out of some dudes trunk. He starts an argument for no reason other than he is pissed and was arguing already with bouncers for being kicked out of a bar in Fells Point. We (brother and I) were waiting for the argument to end to go in. Guy turns around and makes us the target of his anger with the bouncers. My cars, garages had been broken into dozens of times. Things left out, bikes, kids toys ect stolen constantly. MD roads suck as in quality, not as bad as some other states like areas in SC but, are still bad. Traffic sucks, especially working in DC, my office being just a few blocks from the Whitehouse for 21 years a 45 mile (2-4 hour commute each way).
Their are some great things about MD though. The mountains only a 3-4 ish hour drive away as well as Ocean City being only a 3-4 hour drive away. Steamed crabs and other great seafood. A lot of hidden quiet small towns in between all of the packed crime drug ridden city/suburban areas. Trust me, when living there I did not think it was so bad honestly. It was like "well it is not so bad here, there are way worse places". Until you leave and live in an area that is super quiet, super low crime, hardly any drug issues (never once seen a person nooding all messed up on hard drugs here or even in the areas of Charlotte we go to). You just don't realize how much different it is in other areas until you have left the area where you are used to things being a certain way. You grow up around that it all seems normal, until you live somewhere else and realize, yeah that was a type of normal but, your new normal doesn't include all of those things you left behind.
Again there are great things about parts of MD, if you can afford to live in those areas your morning, nightly regular routine life is, can be good. You are still only just a short drive (30 minutes or so, because the state is so small) away from all of the issues I stated above. Sad thing is mixed in with all of the issues even in some of the worst areas are some of the most amazing people you could ever meet.
We want atop speed video in the supra with out speed limit 💯✨️
Because there is just 2 video in this type in RUclips
Yeah I’m not doing that 😂
@@ThicWhips dooo ittttt
@@ThicWhips It's your channel and your car but we really hope you do that❤️🔥✨️

Someone catch me up what cars is he driving now its been a while haven't used yt after my account got banned
E92 m3 and 135
@@ThicWhips Nice, bro looking forward to watching these builds especially that 135 👌
Hey thic, what's the owners Instagram? I want to ask him if he did the clutch delay Valve delete.
The entire slave was deleted, so yes. Not sure of his ig tho
@@ThicWhips Im asking because some people are putting an E90 part in there. Where as I thought I just delete the valve and plug the other 2 ends in without that in the way
I drove an FX1000 in a V160 and it was the most awful undriveable piece of dogshit ever put in a transmission. I mean it was bad, worse than a dogbox setup. Dudes that had been around Supras for decades would stall it because it was so trash. It makes me weary of this review. Is it really a streetable clutch in this car?
