I like that you didn’t just throw praises to the tech-packed or “premium” shoes. And like you said it does depend on each person’s body build and playing style so it’s nice that you’re pointing these things out.
I gotta disagree on the Zoom GT jumps. I love the tech and the cushioning helped minimize soreness in my knees and feet. They are lightweight for their height and the ankle support, traction and breathability are all top notch IMO. I had zero break-in time as well. To each his own, but these are my favorite (indoor) hoop shoe in a LONG time
They make my feet hot it not breathable like Jordan 36, I wear G.T. Jumps without sock and my feet warm up fast duribilty A++ trackion okay but breathable they arent breathable. I also have Nike Road Warrior i wore them once very breathable and walk on them feel like your on a tight rope
The Nike Air Zoom G.T. Jump is one of the best basketball shoes to be released in quite some time and it's one of the nicer looking shoes I've seen in probably 25 years !
I rock the dame 8's and was worried about the traction too however after playing in them after a while the traction became really grippy. Its a shoe that really needs to be broken in for the traction to get better. Never had issues with it. Good video by the way!
2 Pairs if Nike Zoom GT Jumps and I have no regrets. Easily the most enjoyable shoe to play in. Increases vert(no lie). Comfortable once you get used to them and once you also get used to the weight. They can work like light shoes. Just takes many hours to get it tuned for you. Cheers and don’t give up on them so soon.
👍 Good insights! Yes super bouncy shoe, I did start to break them in later on just still not used to the setup like you said, maybe just personal preference at this point.
The GT Jumps. Best BallShoe ive worn. All shoes take time to Break-in. I would agree. Court feel is questionable. But the Grip, Lockdown and Bounce is Top Tear. I definitely recommend. Get'm!!
thx i thought so, ive been thinking about getting them, i am especially interested in the jump performance, does it really help jump higher even if slightly.
@@Keith_Ackerman Helping the jump is just one thing it helps towards. Movement east to west is smooth. My feet glide on the court. And this is in Comparison of the Jordan 34,35 and 36. Along with the Lebron 17. Mix and Remix.
I own the Lebron 19's and i have to say that i and neither three of my teammates who also play in these ever had any traction issues (even on dusty courts not). Maybe it has something to do with weight and friction, lighter players under 90kg may not compress the sole as much on the floor. In regards to the sharp winglet on the top: Everybody of us used a 250 to 500 grit sandpaper and smoothed the edges with no further problems of chewing up socks. Uncecessary from Nike (100%!) but easy and cheap fix. A part from that you get the by far best impact protection which is nowadays available with suprising explosiveness. Only downside for me is the mediocre cornering (due to the high stacking air sole).
Actually, Gt jump is not that bad. I have similar bad experience at first, but after break in( probably 2 or 3 games), the shoes are wonderful. And I use gt cut as my primary hoop shoes, gt jump as the backup.
Im 1,90 metros 🇧🇷 (6'2) and get the AJ 36 low. But i want to fix the problem: sprain ankle. 6 months with them and almost sprained 3 times. Do the gt jump 2 fix this problem and give me the traction + one foot jump more vert?
Great points, I appreciate the particular reference to foot type. Maybe going forward you can do some bits about arch type and torsional rigidity for guys with high arches or flat feet? Thanks 😊
I watched a kid I trained with use the Lebron 19’s and he could barely even lift his feet. I have the same 8’s in blue and white and I like them but I find the slippage more on the courts. If there not cleaned and have dirt or dust then I find I slide but if the courts are regularly cleaned then I find them quite good. I’ve also got a pair of Giannis Zooms which I love due to their light weight.
The LeBron 20s for me. I'm used to mid top shoes so these were killing my ankle. Can't even play on them for 1 game and my ankles are already sore. Shame too.
I feel like playing in the Lebron XIX is dangerous, because everytime you make a sharp stop your ankle will snap because of the useless material over your ankle
I love playing in curry's flow 8 and 9 however the only problem I have ran into is after a year of almost daily basketball use there is practically no grip left, almost feels like your playing in Vans.
After seeing jokic relatively injury free and being a heavy guy. I’m convinced that GT jump is actually a really good shoe. (Not his signature but he chose to wear it)
Lebron 17 and Dame 6 are two of the worst shoes I've ever had. They got slippery really fast and the lebron kept on hurting my legs, both in spronkled ankles and cuts made by the shoe The thing that "hold" the strings on the Dame just got ripped off at some point which made me switch the shoe after only half a year The lebron I switched after almost a year but it is only because I got hurt for 3 months and so I didn't played Which makes it half a year use. Unlike them the high explosive and harden vol 4 were incredible and I'm so happy to see Dame and Lebron on this list to know it's not only me
I got to get to a Nike outlet and was able to try on the Lebron 19 lows. They definitely aren’t as restricting as the highs, but for me, they were snug around the toes since I have longer feet. (Even though they fit in most other Nike basketball shoes of the same size.) I think the traction is decent at best, and there really is just no squeak. I didn’t really feel that they were comfortable, even on my first time trying them, since they’re really just that heavy. The weight of shoes affects everyone differently, but i feel like even bigger players might not appreciate it. Really just not that great for me.
I had the GT Jump and they were really uncomfortable at the heel, , really rough on the Achilles tendon, due to them being so angled forward, that when you were not flexing your knees, it was causing really bad pain. After less than 6 months of playing in them, the Zoom air bubble on the left heel popped, so I was able to return them and get my money back from Nike. They're really overrated shoes.
Bought the 19s for 80. Used it for about a month or 2. Felt good, traction was mid, cushion was good and stability was really good cause of the ankle flaps. It's just high off the ground for most people. Recently the front air unit popped so I'm swapping to jordan 11s......yes jordan 11s
Guess it’s just agree to disagree, I personally love the zoom G.T. since I’m 6’4 and 200. I have to agree that they aren’t made lightweight = agility but great ankle support and cushioning when landing, hence reason why they are loved by the MVP Jokic. And I do not love Curry 9s since they are too light and if you don’t wear ankle support bracelets like Curry does, your ankle is pretty vulnerable. Hence Curry even stopped wearing them during the finals. So yeah it’s up to you with your likings and body forms. But if you feel comfortable ballin’ with heavier/stiffer shoes, Zoom G.T.s are good calls. And Curry 9s are totally not recommended imo. Just as Tommy said on Bron, if pros stop wearing their signature line-ups, there’s reason. (Curry 9s go off easy, your feet tends to rotate a lot in the shoe, Steph Curry even stopped wearing them few games in WCSF, WCF runs, then he changed to Curry 4s entirely in Finals)
Very good insights! Yup I do agree with you, in terms of support based on bodyweight and build, the GT Jump is loved by bigs whereas the Curry 9 is just not the best fit for heavy players. That’s probably the biggest problem of the Curry 9 which is the limited range of consumers it caters to. I just started playing in the Flowtros and love them so far 😆
I agree with everything you say about the Curry 9s, but curry featured his Flowtros in the finals. He wore 9s all season. He woulda ditched them earlier if he didn’t like ‘em.
Great content. I think many do a disservice to their feet when they don't consider long-term comfort, or foot shape. Some people don't have arches and should avoid an arch bump. With running shoes like Brooks or Hoka, they have shoes to fit natural, overpronators, underpronators and make great gym and running shoes because of it.
I’m not too sure when it comes down to measurements. Try on a pair on in store if you can. I go up a half size from my normal size in Nike sneakers for the Curry 9.
Been doing quite many 😊👌Just that I’d like to keep em short so no time wasted and I jump right into the most important aspects. Thanks for checking it out!
Honestly I buy a new pair of dames each time they come out and wear them as school and casual shoes. Really durable and grippy considering how much dust they usually have.
Loved the GT Jumps, has a high arc which took some getting used to but that cushion was the only shoe in a long time not to make my feet hurt playing excessively. However, one of the zoom pockets in the heel deflated after 61 days. 1 day longer than allowed to return it to Dick's Sporting Goods. And they lived up to their name and luckily Nike let me return them for credit (-shipping). Which I used to buy the Jordan 36s which were also great until I had 7 fast breaks and my plantar has come back with a vengeance. Bought the lebron 19 all black for $100 and regret it. Any amount of dust or sweat on the gym floor and you are sliding. I started using it for outdoor playing. Might buy the lebron 20s, or wait for gt jumps to go on sale or wait for the lebron 10 retros since those are my old favorites.
Hey can you do a video on shoes you can play outdoors in? I agree with what you said at the end about the Curry 9’s when you said you don’t find the outsole durability to be an issue. Like the Curry 9’s, i’ve heard people also say not to play outdoors with the KD14’s because it might not be good for the outsole, but I’d rather play in shoes like the KD’s or the Curry’s outdoors since they have good long lasting cushion vs some shoe with crappy cushion that won’t last but has a durable outsole. What do you think?
Hey. I did a video on best shoes for outdoors about 3 weeks ago, check it out 😊 And I completely agree with you! I know people worry about Curry 9’s outsole durability but I’ve legit been playing in those outside for a while now and no major issue. I just love to have like one shoe that is nice and smooth, excellent cushioning, cause most of other shoes that I use outdoors are either budget shoes or older beaters. 🤝
@@TommyLiu4 exactly dude I’m the same way. Also, when people say they don’t like the outsole durability, it would still probably take a long ass time for your shoes outsoles to become so bad that you shouldn’t play in them anymore.
Are your Curry’s from your best outdoor hoop shoes video still holding up outdoors? I think you said you got them in October so it’d be interesting to see how long they last and can be played in lol.
@@BobRoss-wm3lc So I couldn’t play outside at all during the winter it’s been snowy and icy here until like April 😂 Played a total of about 6-7 times outdoors in them so far? Definitely less than 10 times. Holding up just fine. Will provide updates later on!
You are off on the Jump. They are just for big guys. I will see if I have any foot soreness. I doubt it though. There is so much cushion and soft material. They bounce and you are just probably not used to that. Where on your foot did it hurt?
I tried the lebron 19 in store and the collar definitely felt unnecessary and the shoe felt unstable definitely. I got the gt jump recently and it felt amazing. I haven't played in them yet bc I'm still running my cosmic unity but I don't really like low shoes cuz I damaged my right ankle some years back.
It’s a orange flag(not that red) for us to see before buying any shoes. I watched many reviews before buying Dame8. They said it has a problem with traction and it did. I am new in this game. My first pair was Lebron 18. Cushion set up is so good but I didn’t know that it is very heavy. I switch to Adidas Exhibit A for the lighter weight concern but cushion is BAD. I am again, looking for a nice cushion set up + light weight shoes. I got Dame 8 and as you know. Traction is now a problem. This journey never end. I’m looking for the next pair now🥲. So anyone buying a shoes, PLEASE WATCH THE REVIEW. THANK YOU!
That’s true each shoe has its advantages and downsides, and can perform differently based on each person’s playing style or foot shape. Hope you find the right/perfect pair soon! 🙏😃
I have the curry 8 and is really difficult to have a good lock down. Because the run small in the toe area, I had to go up a full size. Now the problem is the heal area that is too wide. Just weird fit but is a good shoe.
ive just ordered the dame 8s and other than the traction i hear they are great. im in 6th grade and im about to try out for my middle school b-ball team a week from now. i sure hope i can break them in in time.
As a former college player!!! I agree with some of you facts! My opinion kinda differs! Yet! I do understand that Lebron’s shoes are built for big guys!!!!! KI’s small to mid height and weight! KD’s flat foot!!!! Just my opinion. Plus you have people that don’t understand outside shoes and inside shoes!!!! So they bring outside shoes inside!!!! Great job!!
Thank you!! Yeah I honestly think that everything depends on your foot shape and playing style so every shoe at least somebody’s gotta find good use in them lol 🙏🙏
Thank you!! Yeah I honestly think that everything depends on your foot shape and playing style so every shoe at least somebody’s gotta find good use in them lol 🙏🙏
I’d much rather just buy a pair of Air Max shoes tbh. GT Jump is also just pricey, but if you can find a really good deal on them sure why not 😃 Still looking forward to the second version though!
honestly i just got some lebron 20’s and i really like them i just have to get used to traction and need to get more practice on how to use it to my advantage
I was shocked to see the GT Jump on your list. The GT Jump is my favorite shoe ever. Best ankle support, cushioning, and traction! I admit there was some break in time of maybe 2 weeks. They where stiff & narrow fit at first but now fits like a glove. I would buy a second pair but they’re sold out every where.
I see I see. Yeah from what I’m hearing many people do enjoy them a lot after some break-in time. It might also just be my super flat feet but I still get tired easily cause it’s TOO bouncy 😂
@@TommyLiu4 it’s cool. Everyone different. I’m 6’2” 220lbs and I love the cushioning for my bad back & knees. I have weak ankles too so I can appreciate the extra ankle support. I have super flat feet too! Lol 😂
I played a few games the other day in my GT Jumps and my planters fasciitis started acting up. I was thinking about adding insoles like i do to all my sneakers but I might wait to break them in a little more
@@TommyLiu4 I returned them 😩 not as great as they were hyped up to be and really pricey. Looking at buying the Melos or Trae young ball shoes. Thanks for the honest review
I enjoy the LeBron 19 and the GT Jump. I don’t experience any of the things your saying from either. It might just be that I’m 6’5” and love impact protection when jumping after dunks, blocks, etc.
Glad to see someone enjoying them. When I saw this review, my first thought was this guy is too small, playstyle all wrong for these shoes. I'm 6'5 330 pounds and NO issue whatsoever with traction or stability out of these, and they are super comfortable
Hope all is well with everyone to those who reads this keep pushing, fighting, and grinding through whatever your going through. This is only the beginning and life is to short for settling for less. Reach out to love ones before it’s to late you never know when it will be our last. Whatever you want to do in life do it and, don’t let anyone tell you other wise peace and one love. ✌🏽🙏🏽
It really depends on what type of setup you prefer, but generally I’d say shoes like the KD14, Two Wxy V2 and Jordan 36 would do, more mid top than high top though. From the newest releases the Zion 2 is a great option too.
i just don't think that people who play basketball understand that signature shoes were made specifically for a certain NBA player's foot every NBA player's foot are not the same, some are wide some are small some are narrow. just a find a shoe that fits you and does the job for you because realistically there's no such thing as the "perfect shoe" because if there were u wouldn't see players who already made their signature shoe come out with more
I played in the 18 Lows instead of the 18s. Cushioning is not as good as the 19 Lows and not as soft. For a forward / center I think they’re still a decent shoe for the responsiveness, especially if you can get them at a good deal (idk if you have them already or are thinking about getting a pair).
I say this with all do respect but I think u need to do something Ells in like if u think u can’t play with the gt jump omg this is is by far the shoe of the year u are insane bro I don’t think u actually play ball bro omg. The gt jump by the way is also ready to go with no break in time cushion is fucking next lever all the text that goes with it is amazing no problem what do ever gssss sorry to evso harsh but there’s no way I can support what u say about the gt jum just completely wrong
Thank god i watched this before buying the Lebron , I really wanted that shoe because it was pretty and obviously it’s a brand but after this not anymore
I personally love the Lebron 19s, but they are very situational. They only really work if you're a heavy player and flatfooted, which is why I absolutely love them, but they're definitely not for everyone. I fortunately got mine on sale for half off, instead of the $200 price tag
I think if you’re playing on concrete you need the cushioning that the Nike GT jump has. As an older hooper with 20 years of hooping my knees get sore easy but wearing the GT jumps I don’t have any pain after playing on concrete. Indoors I usually wear the PG6
You have skinny calves so maybe that’s why you had soreness with the GTjumps bro? 🤷🏻♂️ I do daily 4hr runs outdoors & the jumps are currently my top pick. No soreness for me & no break in time needed. I’m 5’9 at 165lbs so maybe that’s a playing factor.
I see I see, yeah I’ve heard from others who absolutely loved the shoes too. Honestly I’m not too sure why at this point… maybe my very flat feet too 😂
Which shoes did you NOT enjoy playing in recently?!
Hated the LeBron 19s too. Terribly overpriced shoe…

@@TommyLiu4 awesome man thank you
You are off on the Jump. They are just for big guys. I will see if I have any foot soreness. I doubt it though. There is so much cushion and soft material. They bounce and you are just probably not used to that. Where on your foot did it hurt?
Nike zoom GT, are great if you want ankle protection 6" and 190 lb. They are better than lebrons. Functional for big man! Just mo
Right I see. Yes the LeBron 19s are almost unusable in my opinion but the GT Jump does work very well for many, just not to my personal preference.
I got two pair of lebron 19 and they are sick, i used it in gym not to play basket. I got lebron 18 too. My lebron 9 is the most confortable
And how clean were these floors you were playing on? Rec floors typically are dusty be a court that’s waxed every year and maintained lol
What’s the best playing shoes if you have flat feet for indoor court
PG 6, TWO WXY V3
Good video.. tuning in for more
Thank you! 🙏🙏
I have the curry 8 and is really difficult to have a good lock down. Because the run small in the toe area, I had to go up a full size. Now the problem is the heal area that is too wide. Just weird fit but is a good shoe.
Right exactly, the fit is weird especially given the narrow toe box. So not a shoe for everyone based on foot shape
ive just ordered the dame 8s and other than the traction i hear they are great. im in 6th grade and im about to try out for my middle school b-ball team a week from now. i sure hope i can break them in in time.
Yeah once broken in they should be fine for you. And good luck on your tryout!
@@TommyLiu4 thankyou! i got it in all white i was tryna get it in turquise though but parents said it should match team color
@@kevinhart22 how did it wenn?
Hi bro, could you review the And1 Attack 2.0?
What do you think about GT Jump for street use?
I’d much rather just buy a pair of Air Max shoes tbh. GT Jump is also just pricey, but if you can find a really good deal on them sure why not 😃 Still looking forward to the second version though!
honestly i just got some lebron 20’s and i really like them i just have to get used to traction and need to get more practice on how to use it to my advantage
great video man, thanks for the information
thanks man 🙏🙏
I was shocked to see the GT Jump on your list.
Lol 😂
Are they good for outdoors?
@@weeladdan7323 great for outdoors!
@@deerock3350 i'll take your word i'll buy mine next week i found two "chaos" in a moroccan store
I played a few games the other day in my GT Jumps and my planters fasciitis started acting up. I was thinking about adding insoles like i do to all my sneakers but I might wait to break them in a little more
Just got the GT jump I was sore as hell
Right?? Takes time to break in, still a solid shoe tho.
Makes sense. And these two are pretty similar in terms of how they’re constructed so that’s good for you 👍
Same I also enjoy the LeBron 19
Glad to see someone enjoying them. When I saw this review, my first thought was this guy is too small, playstyle all wrong for these shoes. I'm 6'5 330 pounds and NO issue whatsoever with traction or stability out of these, and they are super comfortable
Why do all my air units pop after less than a year? Am I just too heavy on my feet?
I think it’s pretty common with air units honestly. Some of my casual Air Max shoes were done after just a few months.
Nice topic. Do more of this kind of videos
👌🙏
The 19s and the GTs are getting praised all over the place, and you have both on the list………
I have wide feet and I need a shoe with great traction and cushioning because I’m a point gaurd
Good content. Appreciated your thoughts 👏🏼
Thank you!! 🙏
Very informative. great video
Thank you! 🙏
What do you recommend for a Centre/PF
I just made a video on that, see if it helps? 🙏😊

Totally agree with your comments about LJ19, I have 15, 16 and 19, 19 is the worst among the 3.
🤝🤝
Hi tommy! Can you make a review on curry 4 flowtro when it releases please??
Hey. Looking into getting those!
What's your height and weight? Might help with applying that info to other people purchasing shoes.
I’m 5’11 (182cm) and 180lbs. That’s true I’ll try to leave it for reference in future videos, thanks for the suggestion!
Such a nice video man, very honest & informative, well done!
Thanks man 🙏

The LeBron 19 low is a top 19 shoe in my opinion but it’s the LOW
I want to get good basketball shoes for outdoor under $100 for kids but I can't find good ones
What are the blue shoes in the thumbnail?
On the right is the PG 6
Can you give some of your collection sir🙏
So the Nike pg 6 come in wide?
Normal width, fits true to size.
Are the pg 6s good for wide feet?
Decent, about average fit I’d say.
Curry 8 is better than curry 9 to me! Also the GT jump made my Foot cramp so bad so I returned those👌
Im a big guy so my role is center, can you recommend me a shoes that fit for a center like me?
edit: Im looking for a high cut shoes
It really depends on what type of setup you prefer, but generally I’d say shoes like the KD14, Two Wxy V2 and Jordan 36 would do, more mid top than high top though. From the newest releases the Zion 2 is a great option too.
i just don't think that people who play basketball understand that signature shoes were made specifically for a certain NBA player's foot every NBA player's foot are not the same, some are wide some are small some are narrow. just a find a shoe that fits you and does the job for you because realistically there's no such thing as the "perfect shoe" because if there were u wouldn't see players who already made their signature shoe come out with more
The gt jump is the best shoe for me it was sweet
could you do a widefoot friendly bball shoes
I have a video on best shoes for wide feet uploaded about 2 months ago. Might do an updated one soon! 😊
What do you think about Lebron 18 (Im a PF/C)
I played in the 18 Lows instead of the 18s. Cushioning is not as good as the 19 Lows and not as soft. For a forward / center I think they’re still a decent shoe for the responsiveness, especially if you can get them at a good deal (idk if you have them already or are thinking about getting a pair).
With the GT Jump, I think it's just too much for flat footers
Like myself 😂😂
Tufff
What are the shoes in the thumbnail on the right?
PG 6
@@TommyLiu4 thank you!
Nice! Glad they work out for you man 👍
Best all around basketball shoe?
PG 6
Not me buying the 19s...
5'9 at 88kg i mostly run and score inside the paint what shoe would u recommend for me?performance wise
If you a pg then lining speed 8 prem
They run a little small by the way so id go half size up
Puma MB.01 & Harden Vol. 6
@@TommyLiu4 i actually play forward, would these hoop shoes do?
@@aroncampos5720 i play forward, i know a bit small for that position
Bro the first show you put is the show I just ordered
i dont like jordan 36 because of the lack of stability support.
In my opinion LeBron 19 are good and comfortable 😌
GT jump didn’t take a long break in period if you are over 200lbs.
I see I see
Very helpful, thanks!
Still at my prime, what u talking about??
LOLOL
Thank god i watched this before buying the Lebron , I really wanted that shoe because it was pretty and obviously it’s a brand but after this not anymore
im using my new pg ep 5 in outdoor court its good for me
lebrons are comfy af but the thing is the traction is so bad i slipped once when i was wearing em so thats a L ngl
I personally love the Lebron 19s, but they are very situational. They only really work if you're a heavy player and flatfooted, which is why I absolutely love them, but they're definitely not for everyone. I fortunately got mine on sale for half off, instead of the $200 price tag
And also curry 9's traction is top tier but is not that good when it comes to dust
Honestly I’m not too sure why at this point… maybe my very flat feet too 😂
good points mentioned
🙏🤝
Agree ..i add the don issue shoes too..
he doesn't think that maybe these shoes aren't for my body type bra gt jumps are for big guys same as the lebron 19s
