I grabbed the hesi low v2 during BF sales from your recommendation at $90 AUD or around $56 USD, was impossible to justify any other bball shoe purchase at that price. Best performing shoes ive ever worn.

Last week, I bought my first pair of BB shoes based on your "mid year top shoes" recommendations, and I'm pleased they were ranked third. If this video had come out a few days earlier, I might have chosen the Hesi low v2, but I'm happy with my purchase, especially since I paid 85 euros.

My favorite was the NXXT gen ampd. It took me nearly 3 months to break them in, but the leather in combination with both zoom bags, and perfect traction as well, they really surprised me. Not to mention they are the best looking as well (IMO)

I ended up buying a few shoes due to your recommendation this year. NB BBv2, Asics Nova Surge Low and over the holidays picked up NB two wxy V5 and Hesi Low V2. Looking forward to trying the new shoes out. I have been big fan of new balance basketball shoes and have had all the versions of the two wxy and continue to use them all.

Great list! Question about the All City 12: you mentioned a pinching issue on the upper of the stitching. Is that with the solid upper or the thinner mesh one (green/yellow/blue coloways). Love the content!!!
Thank you so much!! Great question - I only noticed it on the leather versions (for example Blue, White) NOT the mesh one (Avocado is okay). Should have clarified sorry.

Great video man, bought wow 10 last year and trying to buy the same new shoe again this year. where will you place this shoe among your current top 10?
Agreed that New Balance is killing it-Kawhi V4 was my favorite this year, just a perfectly balanced hoop shoe. I also bought the fresh foam BB V2 and two way V4, the traction, weight and lockdown is so much better than other more well known brands. What also really stands out is how my legs/knees/ankles do not feel sore the next day, unlike other shoe companies. They often come up at a discount too, definitely going to get ahold of the Hesi Lo V2 soon.

@@Sigmary-02 That would make it more confusing for people I think. Yes each brand may have a different size chart. What’s the point of asking for a recommendation if you would still refer to the charts?

My previous shoe was the liren 3 v2 based off your recommendation and i loved it. I play a lot of tennis and kind of want to give the asics a go too. Otherwise its between the liren, the big 3 quick pro and the nb two way v5.

How would you compare the Hesi Low v2 vs the Two Wxy v4?
Very different actually in terms of court feel, material comfort, etc. - I’d pick the HESI’s for indoors and TWO WXY’s for outdoors.

You werent kidding man. Hesi Low 2s are the truth! Damn near perfect. First time wearing them I did have a bit of pain on my right inner ankle, but I went ballistic on court. After they break in they might be at the top. Plus, the orange/purple colorway kinda looks good too! I got lucky on ebay and got a great deal. Great place to check.

Hey, Kyrie Infinity. Speed 10 is a specialty guard shoe to me - TTS; Kyrie Infinity definitely size up, half size up.
Got the last pair in my size of the aime leon dore hesi low v2 in the white/green colorway. Super stoked to try them out

What a great analysis. NB totally killed it this year. Lining continues to put out good products, whole 361 and Anta are on the rise. Nike had an underwhelming year, while Adidas isn't going to make huge strides. I'm curious what are your thoughts on Peak, and if there are any of Peak shoes that are noteworthy.
🙏🙏 Haven’t tried any Peak products this year but I do have a new pair on the way. They’ve been one of my favorite brands for a long time though so we’ll see!

Not a “long” break in time just some playing time is needed.
Is the KT10 great for wide footers and breathable?I am choosing between the Kai 1 and KT10.
Average width & breathability really not much special in those two aspects. I think both are fantastic, popularity/colorway/look wise the KAI 1 is probably way better but pure performance wise I’d definitely take the KT 10.

Are the JB3 still very low to the ground? I was a bit disappointed with the JB2 in how low it was and the cushion felt even more minimal than the JB1.
Not as low to the ground as the previous 2.
Would you say that the JB3 has a similar midsole and outsole performance as the Gamma's?
Similar but much better overall.

How do you feel about the lateral containment on the hesi low v2? Do you think the upper is too soft and flexible for it to contain the foot on hard cuts side to side? It appears to me in your close up shots where you are doing hard lateral stops that the foot seems to move much more compared to some stiffer shoes.
Yes great observation - lateral containment, on those and the Kawhi 4s, if I were to be nitpicking that’s the only part that’s slightly below average. But the HESI LOW V2 is fine I mean even if I was to do those hard shifts to test it they were holding up okay. Not a big concern or deal breaker.

I bought the anta kai 1 speed in the twin flame colorway this year and really love them, I wear them in my games and they feel bouncy and I love the court feel and traction

Considering the hesi low v2 or WOW 10 low for performance. Which one performs better for you?
WOW 10 Low is much bouncier. For me personally I’d probably take the HESI LOW V2 given how I play, they’re quite different shoes - WOW 10 (original mid top) though that’s a different story it is an all-timer to me.

Hey, I'm having some trouble deciding what shoe to get. I mostly play outdoors and they'll be used casually too, but my options are few. I could choose between don Issue 8s, Immortality 4s, gt cut academy eps, or just go for some sneakers. The issue with the immortality 4s is the only ones available at reasonable prices are colourways I'm not too fond of. What would you pick? And happy holidays!

I only have the Big 3 5.0 Quick Pro in the top ten but yeah, it’s the 2nd favorite pair in my rotation, next to my AE1.

That I’m not sure - this colorway I got is close to a 10/10 for its traction.

HESI’s are about average width, very wide feet I think you can go half size up to be safe. That depends on which brand / specific model I would have included sizing in each vid about them. 🙏
