On the Chinese internet,people always discuss the pointed shoes that may cause hallux valgus problem on Nike shoes recent years, like ja 2,lbj 21,Sabrina 1&2. So I’m wandering if these problems also trouble you guys or just because of the difference between people’s feet types? :-) (sorry for my poor English
Nike has always seemed to have more narrow shoes imo. When I played American football, I had to use Reebok for that very reason. Thanks for putting a name to it. Also, your English is solid 👍🏾
Makes me appreciate new balances wider options on some shoes more … I don’t buy Nike so much anymore … I’d maybe try some Kobe’s once but, I’m happy with moving forward with the NB BB line the Kawhi 4 greys & Tiagos 🔥 even the on sale white/red are dope. Hezi lows might fit my game best but some broken in fresh foam might be great to have in the rotation

Hard seeing a top 5 list without he 361 Quick Pros. I've tried about 7 different pairs of basketball shoes this year and the 361s are easily the best. Cushion, insane traction, great color ways and excellent support. No idea how the Sabrina would rank higher.
From own experience can confirm NB TWO WXY V5 is such a great value got em at 120 bucks and its a solid shoe on all categories, specially coming at 2E. And best performance shoe to me while super expensive is WOW 10 LOW.
I'm very happy with the New Balance FF BB V2. I found the pair in sale for 60€. Amazing shoe for me, the shoe check all the boxes for me. It's comfortable without be to soft and you can play long time with them. Very stable too and the foot is lock up perfect even with custom insoles like my case.
The V4 are the best shoes I've ever worn. Light and loaded and only $60 at the time. I really want to try the bb2 but can't find anywhere to try them on
i have stuck with the NB v3 and V4 in the Two Wxy for pickleball and I also have the BB2 and I prefer the Two Wxy over the BB shoes....I still use the PG6 which is the last version of Nike's Paul George line and I like them the best out of the PG line...great recommendations on the NB shoes and when the prices start to lower on the V5's , I will get a pair or 3
Depends on what you’re looking for. BB2 has more cushion. v5 has better stability and traction. I prefer the v5 as a guard. BB2 might be more for bigger men. I actually wear BB2 for outdoors or when I’m just shooting around by myself.
Hi doc, I want to consult something hopefully you can see this. I just want to know the proper fitting of the shoe. You are always using size 11 shoe and the allowance on the tip of your toe as per my estimate is around 1cm. Is that the recommended allowance?
Ever try folding your foot forward ? Like step lightly on your toes rolled forward. And stretch your big toe outward sideways. I haven’t had a flare up since I did that and rested it a good bit.
zach do u think i could cut the connection from the top tongue of encore 12 to the sides of shoe to give me better comfort. I have wide feet and didn't take that into account. Otherwise I'd have to sell them or something
now I hate fresh foam bb v2 just sprained my ankle recently just doing lateral glides, (i can do that in my crocs but never tipped) they're so high off the ground. The flange is soft and rounded and very tippy. My pinky toes bumps on the side so painful. Yea they are plush but I don't get it why people recommend this.
Depends on your playing style and court. They are really good indoors, especially for people who jump a lot. Personally would not recommend them for outdoors. You may prefer the Two wxy 4 or 5s for lateral movements, they are lower to the ground. If you really need more court feel, would probably suggest Nike shoes like the GT series, Booker's shoes, Sabrina's, or even Ja's.
At the start and end you mention NBA seasons. Are these shoes for us or are these just shoes from the NBA that you like? I’m a fatass and used to play basketball back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Runners type people say get a stability shoe with foam (I have the basic Hoka, a chubby old fart staple) which shoe type should I focus on for basketball?
New Balance gets a 12.5 size. FinalIy they’ve released this size and unsurprisingly they sold out immediately in every coloway.I’ve banned this brand from any kind of wear, causal or performance. Did get your performance slides. I like the idea behind the slides. Still I’ve got the WOW 10s and the Nike GT Cut 3 neck and neck for number 1 when I’m going to play serious hoops. I think Zack likes a lot of conteinment like he said the 2wxy have a rugged uppers, but if you already have a great foot work like you know how to transition heel toe I think the kawhi 4 is better with that heel plate
Your choices are top tier but since there’s a better option with the NW Fresh BbV2 you should exclude the hezi’s and include the Lebron 20’s ! But which shoes would be best for outdoors ?
I haven’t tried any of the New Balance basketball shoes yet, but I can tell you that my favorite running shoes are from New Balance. And I have a lot of different running shoes to choose from.

Depends on what you’re looking for. BB2 has more cushion. v5 has better stability and traction. I prefer the v5 as a guard. BB2 might be more for bigger men. I actually wear BB2 for outdoors or when I’m just shooting around by myself.
