28:48 Straight after Roper dispatches Bolo, Han calls out the names of about a dozen of his guards, with the order to, "destroy them! Kill!" It probably gave them a real sense of worker satisfaction knowing that their boss took time to memorise their individual appellations for that second and a half before they became dragon food. 1:07:00 They got this from an interview with James Coburn (it was either 'Curse of the Dragon' or 'Martial Arts Master') who used the word *exploded* in relation to a bag Bruce kicked. To paraphrase Coburn, he said something like, "the bag was filled with these little rags and we were picking up rags for weeks." 1:10:45 This one came from Jesse Glover in his 'Between Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do' book. James DeMile also claimed it as well. There used to be a full video here on RUclips, but now there's only an excerpt entitled: 'Bruce Lee - How He Achieved Phenomenal Speed.' 1:11:26 This is a Davis Miller story from Esquire magazine, 1993. If memory serves he also repeated it in his book, 'The Tao of Bruce Lee.'
Steve Kerridge does mention Bruce had (cracked if I remember correctly) ribs in The Mandarin Superstar book. I think it was around the time he was doing Longstreet, do you know what had happened?
That’s a really good question. According to a quick Google search, Coca-Cola began using aluminum cans in 1955. But in terms of how widespread it was internationally I am completely in the dark.
There was a website in the 90s which claimed Bruce and his friends had used some kind of measuring equipment before he moved to HK to measure his striking speed. Supposedly from his hands at his side to a target 3 ft. away he was between 5 - 8 hundredths of a second. Like so many BS websites from the 90s, it doesn’t exist anymore. I don’t even remember which one of Bruce’s friends made that claim. Muhammad Ali talks about his “phantom punch” which ended the 2nd Liston fight as being 4 hundredths of a second in the 1996 “When We Were Kings” documentary. Who knows?
Bro! I just heard you were one of the villians in "Shaolin Vs Lama" flick! I think I saw you in the temple courtyard scene! Dang, you too humble never telling us you appeared in that classic movie.
Im in HongKong now, my first time. The place is amazing, i have been to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, Bruce Lee, that was amazing! But my impresion on many chinese, is that Bruce Lee is not that famous here. i asked so many people in the shoppingcenter near museum, the way to the Bruce Lee museum. The ones who talked English, never heard about Bruce Lee. And today i was in a bookstore, asked about books about Bruce Lee. The woman asked me, Bruce Lee, is he a famous composer😅. Maybe is my english, im Norwegian😅
Fun quiz BUT I find it disheartening 😭 that questions based on FACTS were not included. For instance, what was Lee’s actual diet to become a manimal and what was his daily 12-hour workout like as stated and investigated by Lee’s actual, official, and only biographer Dr. Beardy 🔥
I believe I read in “The Wrath of the Dragon” book by John Little about a measuring device that measures the speed of a strike conducted by 2 of Lee’s students one of them being Jesse Glover the other was attending college majoring in a science field. Correct me if I’m wrong on this fact. The time measure may have been .5 seconds?? Thanks for the Podcasts it’s great learning facts and different perspectives 👍
Yo genius, this was a good one. Keep up the good work 💯 but Dre, slipping with his Bruce Lee, trivia 😆 I’d like to see you do an episode about your favorite kung fu movies and actors maybe like a top 10 list
I could have sworn there was at least 1 female co-star who tagged along in all of Bruce’s HK movies. I get their names mixed up because there was more than one female costar in those various four movies, not including Game Of Death of course. She sold rice cakes in the Big Boss, was one of his fellow martial arts students in Fists of Fury, his pseudo-girlfriend in Way of the Dragon, and the other agent on Han’s island in Enter the Dragon. Am I right?
Hi,kfg love your work can you make eposide on bruce lee library i mean if you have any information about the books he have red and effected his martial arts or personality and character and keep going❤.
James Demile talks on two seperate videos of how Bruce and Demile etc. trained with a tester to measure their speed. I'll try to leave a link here from RUclips,if you find one you'll also find the other ruclips.net/video/WbtVberYhhw/видео.htmlsi=IbZ9-ykgXtePSVk0
This was the most boring KFG ever. The quizzes consisted of the most superficial questions. The only people who could not give the correct answers were people who were not true Bruce Lee fans. I still appreciate your opinion on Bruce Lee, Wing Chun, and martial arts in general. I still think that yours is the best podcast of its kind.🙏☮️☯️
@ no problem, I guess you have to dumb it down from time to time. I still have respect for your approach and your opinion . My favorite athletes don’t always have a good game. Keep doing what you’re doing and I will keep checking you out.🙏☮️☯️
Hey KFG! Off topic, but I just ran into a fishy clip about Bruce getting defeated in sparring by 60 year old Shek Kin 🤯⬇️ I have a hard time believing it. What's your take? ruclips.net/user/shortsA6NCb1dAzQY?si=Jkp0Yqn4rbxb8Ig9
Great episode! Many thanks :)
Better question:
Bob Baker was asked to send coke in...
A. Fair amounts
B. Small amounts
C. Safe amounts
D. Good amounts

I will have to look it up… or I’ll just ask him lol
@TheKungFuGenius please do, I don't remember the book giving the cause.
Another great show brothers. Respect.
Thank you!
Appreciate that you tried something unique here even though quiz was weird ❤. You are still the most feared man in Queens and Cincinnati
1:17:00 did they even use coke cans in those days? It was all bottles in my part of the world during that era

You can find that in Jesse Glover's book on Bruce Lee. Between Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do.
A quiz?! I would love to take one! 😁
How did Dre do on his quarterly review? Asking for a friend.
@12:50 Dre getting arrogant 😂
Bro! I just heard you were one of the villians in "Shaolin Vs Lama" flick! I think I saw you in the temple courtyard scene! Dang, you too humble never telling us you appeared in that classic movie.
Oh, I need to rewatch that one!
Hey KFG create the quizz and I am sure I will get a 100%

Because they usually need to hear his name in Chinese! Many of them don’t know his American name.
Very fun show... but I think TKFG will be surprised because many will lose on purpose... the date with Drey is too tempting ! 😂
@14:37 i have 100% so far 👍

Sounds good and thanks for the support!
Hi everyone!
Are you feeling better @mikey ?
In Big Boss, suddenly you see his finger is wrapped in bandage. Isn't that because he got cut from trying to show off by puncturing a Coke can?
I’m pretty sure I’ll get every single one right
In ETD, O’Harra was not going to rape Lee’s sister. He was trying to ask her for her number, but she overreacted.
Trovador Ramos entered the Chat…

Nora Miao is not in ETD or GOD, but she is in all the other films.
That was Betty Chung in Enter the Dragon.

Thanks for the suggestion! Maybe I will get Dr James Bishop for that!
I haven't watched this video yet. Didn't Charles Bronson train with Bruce Lee?
I have never heard that, but I have heard a rumor that they were going to make a film together at some point after Enter the Dragon
@TheKungFuGenius Ok, thanks for the clarification!
