Please give us details about what you mentioned on part three about Betty saying a fight occurred on the moment Bruce was entering her apartment ! Cause whoever hit Bruce may have caused his death ! Am I wrong ?
Ok , but I have another question ! Since Bruce earlier that day went to Andre Morgan’s is it possible he drank or ate something there that caused his brain swelling ? They say « follow the money « and who earned money the most after Bruce passing ? Raymond , Andre Morgan and WARNER BROTHERS, that bother me a lot when this is never talked about. Thanks for your respect and unconditional love for Bruce
If you can explain to me who benefitted financially by taking a career ending risk of going to jail ny murdering Bruce Lee and potentially suborning multiple witness… for a couple hundred grand insurance policy? For saving “face”?
I really appreciate the honesty and fountain of information you continue to present in the appropriate context, in a righteous world your podcast, seriously, would have 11 million+ subscribers. But we also know what kind of mad world we live in, and what gets rewarded the most. There’s soo much crap out there in youtube-world, as you no doubt know. So pleased we have another one! Thank you Alex and guys for going over this. It's fascinated me since i was a kid. A wonderful podcast you have here! Thanks again and looking forward to the next one!
As a big Bruce Lee fan for many decades, the circumstances leading up to his death are tragic and frustrating. His use of narcotics appears to be the biggest contributor, followed by a clear refusal to learn from the close call in May 1973. This was a big loss and should have been used as a warning to others about how destructive illicit drugs and the associated addiction are.
Nope, the low rent Director would not kill his bosses golden egg no matter how many triad connections he has. Remember, LW was an employee, not the boss.
Only getting around to part three. Awesome episode! Finally made the pilgrimage to Bruce Lee's (and Brandon's) gravesite from Newfoundland this summer!! A trip I'll never forget! Love your BL podcasts. Off to part four!

@@TheKungFuGenius Life long fan of this legend as you are...with a shitload of books and mags for 40 plus years...that I used to revisit from time-to-time. But since I've discovered your podcasts (and of course the jaw-dropping visit to where he's laid to rest)...this revisit to Bruce Lee at this level many years later is so awesome!! Thank you for being a HUGE part of this!
I know we dont agree on everything but you are very smart and know a lot more than myself. We appreciate your dedication to bringing the truth about Bruce Lee to us
I saw “ Way of the Dragon” as “Return of the Dragon” at the Theater, it was my first Bruce Lee movie shortly after his death and after Enter the Dragon. We only knew the film at that time as Return of the Dragon, I thinking probably 1974 or 1975.
So many seemingly contradictory elements to bruce lee. He inspired us but his death always seemed implausible. Then after watching this podcast i learn if his drug taking and paranoia etc..makes more sense. His wife could bring a lot more to light.
That ending turned into the Bruce vs Lo kerfuffle there for a moment. Thought Alex was going for his belt buckle at one point! Scary! Another brilliant show lads. Roll on part 4! ❤
Another epic episode KFG! Thank you. I understand Charles Damiano’s perspective on the titles. Bruce’s movies had the wrong titles when they were released in American theaters in the 70’s. Way of the Dragon was released in English dubbed as Return of the Dragon and marketed as though it was made afterwards. Check out the American movie trailers on the new DVD releases.
Bruce Lee suffered discrimination in both Hong Kong and the States, in fact Chinese kids would brutally bully him because of his European heritage. The Hong Kong press even made nasty comments by asking how purely Chinese he was such as attacking his family. His daughter Shannon wrote a few years ago on how white people were the main obstacle in her father’s path to success which really annoyed me. As your podcast has explained, he faced obstacles in both cultures. I’ve long accepted that he was a womaniser and drug user but still doesn’t change my respect nor admiration for him.
This is really interesting, Bruce's relation with the press, compared to that around WOTD. Atleast according to Bob Wall, when he wanted to fight the press and Bruce was something like "they make stuff up all the time, it's not worth it". This has been a really interesting series and really adds a layer to Bruce's "I feel like something is dragging down" comment to Linda after the may seizure.
@22:35 I've also seen some of Bruce Lee's unique training stuff. About 20 years ago I helped clean and organize some of Sigung Taky Kimuras things at his home and was fortunate enough to see some of Bruce Lees things. One was a long metal bar, almost like a barbell that Bruce had and would utilize as a pull up bar. Also saw some make shift wooden dummy/makiwara stuff. Also got to ride Bruce's bicycle.
KFG Charles, many, many others and I saw WOTD in the movies under the RETURN OF THE DRAGON title after he passed away. I saw it theatrically when it premiered no later than 1974. The American movie trailer is also under that title. The Way title wasn't distributed in America until it's DVD release. Also, the only film that Bruce didn't want to be distributed in America is WAY OF THE DRAGON. His reason being that he didn't feel that American audiences would accept him defeating an American Champion.✌️😎👍🙏☯️🐉🐅
Oh that's why Sam Hui in the movie Private Eyes does a pretty good kick in a supermarket scene. In the same movie his brother Michael Hui fights a guy using sausages as nunchuk . The opponent uses shark teeth. Hilarious scene.

Very interesting about brucelee repeating himself in conversations during his final months..i wonder why this wasnt seen as more urgent at the time of his last days?
Just read about hydrocephalus & cerebral edema. The latter can be caused due to heat stress, high blood pressure & physical injuries. Hydrocephalus is roughly speaking excess spinal fluid in the brain due to nerve related disturbances regarding hydration, causing the brain to swell. It had me thinking that Bruce got caught up in a perfect storm regarding developing cerebral edema (or whatnot) so early in his life. 1. The back injury. 2. The cortisol shots in his spine (perhaps messing with the his nerves & spinal fluid. Maby making to much spinal fluid travel to the brain, thus adding swelling). 3. Removing the sweat glands in his armpits (contributing to problems with hydration & heat stress. Factors contributing to both hydrocephalus & cerebral edema). 4. Cocaine, lack of sleep, very hard training and a grueling schedule contributing to high blood pressure. Im no expert by any means. But all these factors do sound like a superb express route towards developing ailments that made his brain swell, which had him sporadically passing out & ultimately passing away due to his brain swelling at such a young age 🤔
Besides baseless allegations in Bleeckers book, where is the evidence that Bruce was regularly taking Cortizone shots? People in the comments: But the Cortizone! But his kidneys! But the diuretics! Autopsy report : kidneys, absolutely clear, no doctors visits or testimony from his general practitioner about anything regarding his kidneys or Cortizone shots. Internet: But the Cortizone! But he’s kidneys! But the diuretics! Occam’s razor: when faced with competing explanations for the same phenomenon, the simplest explanation is most likely the correct one. I love how people can’t decide whether he died from drinking too much water or from dehydration.
@TheKungFuGenius I've just heard he did that to ease the pain after the back injury in different documentaries. So I figured, why fabricate that when it doesn't seem to have any tabu properties or benefits 🤷♂️
I was not aware of any documentaries that talked about his “cortisone shots”. As far as I know, only Mr. Bleecker’s non-cited book of allegations mentioned cortisone.
@TheKungFuGenius ok, I haven't read that book. I got to know about that from some documentary or documentaries long ago. If they got that information from that book I don't know.

Thank you for your compliment. Just wait, in a few weeks "this guy" (me) is going to break down Mr. Bleecker's multiple infractions against the truth in his book "Unsettled Matters". That the next deep dive series.
We were used to seeing actions stars like Stallone or Arnie surrounded by bodyguards in public in the recent years without any doubt on their masculinity. THE DRAGON was both the aftermentioned actors combined in popularity and idolatry during his time. He even said that he was in an no win situation had he choosed to take on a challenger or avoid it alltogether. One can only imagine what was going on inside him in his last months. JAckie Chan is a healthy person. If you had experienced such an incident with Bruce Lee 50 years ago, I'm sure you wouldn't forget any of the details. Why would Jackie forget?
