I know dinosaurs aren’t “really” reptiles, but I’m using this to explain the hair, it’s just feathers, we know that feathers can be as soft as hair, so maybe the “hair” is just very highly evolved feathers (it’s also another explanation of how they stay warm with no light)
Tetramands and their mounts could actually be a similar case for Earth’s Synapsids which were reptiles that were the ancestors of modern day mammals. It would explain why Four Arms possessed so many mammalian traits despite being ultimately reptilian. My theory is that Synapsid-like creatures convergently evolved on Khoros but with the planet’s hot atmosphere, the need to go fully mammalian was not needed.
They were not reptiles, just reptile-like. Synapsids are their own group, with mammals included(though then again they could be reptiles, because cladistics but its very muddy to if reptiles and synapsids had seperate starts or that synapsids came from reptiles directly)
If I recall correctly synapsids are believed to be the granddaddy of mammalian life theyre the in-between that of dinosaurs/ancient reptiles and mammals a famous one is dimetrodon they seems to have whiskers on they're face while having reptilian features.
Honestly this makes enough sense, I’ve heard at least I think twice that Tetramands may be bug-like aliens, but being reptile-like makes more sense, plus all the other creatures we’ve seen on their home world are reptiles, so there’s that. Unless I’m missing something.

Pretty sound theory. In one episode of Ben 10 original, there was an anglerfish that actually resembled Ripjaws greatly, that got me thinking that it wasn't an anglerfish, but a species related to Pisces Volans that made it to earth.
At first this theory felt weird but by the end of this video you have convinced me. It's actually a good theory. Also they don't necessarily need to be cold blooded, we haven't seen Four Arms slow down at night or in cold (i think) we can say that Tetramands look like Reptiles but don't necessarily have cold blood
@@ZeroTaichi Yeah their anatomy is different but some creatures on Khoros somewhat look like Dinosaur too. Or well like a combination of modern reptiles and dinosaur
There's also the fact that bigger animals take longer to cool down and specific reptiles such as dinosaurs which are specific type of reptile (which technically means that birds are also technically another type of reptile which casual geographic will fill you in on) once they're big enough like the tyrannosaurus their bodies automatically produce heat not because they're warm blooded but just because they're that big whenever they move they produce a lot of heat
considering that those mounts are officially named the Khoros REPTILIAN mount...and they look pretty similar to Tetramands, I have to say you may be right about Tetramands being a reptile-like species
Just got to the end of this, and im literally just adding a few "um ackshually"'s Khoros was depicted with a jungle in the reboot, and while the idea of them using the desert heat makes sense, i feel a jungle environs would be a better explanation for how they developed. Jungles are generally nutrient dense areas, which would be better for supporting the massive bulk that tetramands unanimously possess, mot to mention the lack of light in the forest floor of dense jungles might also explain their red color since a lot of aquatic organisms that live near the bottom of any given body of water use red as their main color scheme since not a lot of red light filters through water. It may be a similar case where some form of partial absorption by the canopy leads to a lack of red light in the forest floor where the tetramand live, thus giving them an evolutionary edge. However, I don't think that we should judge an entire species on one habitat, since most planets have multiple. (Though I imagine that any creative team behind the planets would first reference Frank frazetta for swords and sandals fantasy vibes before dating to make a planet with one biome, seriously just add some mountain ranges and you can have both a desert and jungle!) Also, irl dinosaurs are implied to be endothermic via their bone structure, so why couldn't the tetramand? And I know Gar could be a sign that they have somewhat indeterminate growth like the ectotherms of earth, but then again Omniverse was big on exaggerating the physique of almost everyones designs, so that's a moot point imo. Overall good video, cant wait to see what's next
