You have to mark the box otherwise you'd have to know which eye needs which pwr

i mixed up my left and right lenses and they're graded!. my left is 1.50 and my right is 2.00 but i cant figure out which lens is for the right or left 'cause they feel the same when i put them either way. help?
Is 0.00 power just non prescription? I used to wear contacts in prescription but got lasik and now I just wanna wear them for the look as I liked the blue ones but I don’t know which power to pick now that my eyes are 20/20

Hi, I want to try contacts for the first time, without having to visit a specialist - can you suggest a curve and diameter for an average adult please; also, would my glasses strength (2.50) be an ok match for the contacts?

Hi, is it normal for the optometrist to only ask about your glasses prescription only when ordering a new contact lenses. I’m kinda worried as my optometrist does not mentioned about the base curve and the diameter of the contact lenses.
Most base curves and diameters are off of an empirical average, so in most cases contact lenses will just 'fit' but in the case it doesn't the optometrist might tweak things here and there :)
How can I calculate my contact lens base curve ? I have prescription for glasses but not for contact lenses. Can I purchase contact lenses using my glass prescription ? O.D. -2.50, -1, 95
O.S. -3, -1, 75
Base curve will need to be measured by your optometrist but most base curves fall under a range between 8.3~9.0
Is there a difference between 8.5 & 8.6 curve?
I wanna get the daily contact lenses but they only come in 8.5
Minimal difference but best to get it looked at by an optometrist!
How do I know witch one goes on the right/left eye?
Your optometrist should label those for you 😁

I have previously worn biofinity with b.c 8,6 and I'm looking at Acuvue Vita lenses that come in b.c 8.4 and 8.8, wich of these would be the closest to biofinitys 8.6?
I would still like to know what the Cylinder/Axis (CYL/AXIS) numbers refer to?
Cyl is the lens power required to correct astigmatism and axis is the direction that power acts on. Cylindrical powers are vectors rather than scalars
@@AntonioTheOptom So if the axis was 180 that would be with the rule? And 90/270 axis would be against the rule? And numbers between would be oblique?
@@robertu axes don’t exceed 180 like a protractor and yes 180 is with the rule and 90 is against!👍
Why I see blurry vision if I wear coloured contact lenses? I have no prescription, only wearing for cosmetic purpose
Hmmm not too sure on this one, maybe the lenses are damaged?
What does -2.00 means in prescription? Can you see with that power or you see blurry? Am 0 prescription.
-2.00 means you can see up to 50cm but further than that things go blurry

What does it mean if my contacts read on my receipt OD-right and OS-left, does that mean one box is for my right and the other box is for my left?
I’m on vacation and it seems I left all my contacts behind. Can I pick up some store brand eye glasses to tally me over till I can get home or see an optometrist. The contacts I have listed -2.00 - 1.25 * 170 then I found an older empty one with -1.00 - 0.75* 180
We are driving a lot on this trip and I can’t see anything after 6pm… help?
Should be fine to tie you over in the meantime, I think the difficult part is to find a optical shop that has a ready made prescription close to your actual one 🤔
@@AntonioTheOptom I might have typed that up wrong! So I meant I don’t have any contacts on me! I need something! What store brand reader lenses match my prescription . I dont think I’ll find an eye place with the lenses minus a prescription! It’s rough in these streets! So going to pick up anything that will help me see after 6 pm
@@anitabarigyea8359 most places don’t have minus lenses ready made but it could be different where you are 😃

@@anitabarigyea8359 it’s a tricky situation.. I guess you’ll need to see if an optometry clinic can provide you with stock contact lenses that will come closest to your actual prescription. Vision won’t be perfect but better than nothing

@@nataliareme18 I took a picture and sent it to order my glasses online. The doctor wouldn't give PD without order the glasses there. Glasses were correct.
What do the numbers mean on astigmatism contacts?
Lense don't correct astigmatism .. glasses do

Why do contacts only last a month?
Monthly contact lenses degrade over the period of the month so it’s best to replace them 😃
