Both techniques yield beautiful outcomes, but I am very partial to the second technique with the blue flowers... and even though you thought the blues were too dark, I think they are just right for the gray they are against. Absolutely stunning!

Very pretty. Good springboard for the stamps we already have. Sometimes I don't feel like coloring, so this minimal technique is perfect.

This was my first time seeing cards with a spotlight technique - very cool & so beautiful! Yes, a Woodware stamp playlist is great & agree with another commenter who mentioned numbering them. I have a couple of Woodware stamps (in the Fuzzie Friends line) but still have tried them yet because I really need to get some quality ink & have been planning on getting a stamping platform. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some of your favourite brands / types. Edited to add: I have been waiting for the same stamping press you use to come back in stock with a Canadian based craft store but it doesn’t seem to be available as it’s been a months-long wait 🙁

What would be cool is to use the second generation of the gray over the spotlight part to give even more definition. Of course this would just be an experiment as I never tried it! 😊

Oooh--these are great spotlight ideas, Natasha. What I do is cut the shape (I've always used squares) out of the same card stock I'll be stamping on, adhere it with low-tack tape to my card panel, and stamp over the whole thing. Then I color as much as I want of the whole stamped image, remove the little shape, place an ever-so-slightly larger square of another color beneath it, and then permanently adhere the two squares in place back over the full image. (That may have been clear as mud...) Anyway, I appreciate learning this new option! 💕

I would really appreciate a playlist for the woodware stamps. That way I can make all the cards you show for any given flower stamp that I have. Thank you very much for doing such a good job finding diverse topics to show case.
I found out a tip a couple of yrs back for cutting foam tape...cut the length you want,then pop it sticky side dwn on some wax paper and then trim to the thickness required...it stops the scissors getting all sticky.I also want to say thankyou for introducing me to mint tape,had my 1st 3 rolls delivered to the uk about 3 weeks ago and it is fabulous,no paper tearing at all,super impressed.tyfs everything Natasha, and love to the lil ones x

My favorite stamps ever are Penny Black…..I’ve never saw anyone use those stamps except for the actual company channel. Your second card is beautiful!

I have Concord & 9th Dove gray. It's a bit lighter than the ones you have but I like it. :)

If you want to avoid the lip around your mask, try cutting JUST inside your traced line for the mask. Mask slightly smaller than the image lets you avoid the lip.
