This was just, disappointing. They cut out 70% of the game and put that little bit in a new engine. modders wanted to do this, but couldn't because konami would take legal action against them like they did when the mgs1 remake in unreal engine. And did it bother anybody else when it showed the debriefing it was just the ps2 version of that. I mean for something that you keep feeding your money, it bs that they cut your victory, then go back to the remake when you go see the boss.

That's kinda why Monster Hunter World could jump right to beautiful cutscenes and no loading screens for zone transitions and voice acting and turf wars and all these interactive map elements out of nowhere. These are so good. Rarely do the models redrawn in HD look exactly like you remember these characters from before. And here it's 100% on point, every character, not a wrong pixel anywhere. What a shame.

This is the closest we will ever get to a remake and it's pretty sad. I love the mgs series I see it as more than a game I see it as a form of art and to see somthing I'm so passionate about become a slot machine is sickening.
My theory is that behind the scenes Kojima was working on a MGS3 remake, then when he left Konami kept all of his stuff for MGS. His team were able to complete the cutscenes and some of the basic gameplay was finished, however Konami took the cutscenes from the remake off the FOX engine and made a cheap buck off it by converting it into a Pachislot game.
I think Kojima would have spilled by now if he really was working on an MGS3 remake seeing as he doesn't work for Konami anymore. But still I hope they stop the teasing and just give us a good remake that looks like this
Think about the audio quality of this, it's most likely that the original phone recording had a lot of background noise and someone muted it and added the original game's English track but didn't sync it properly. As for the original post, it's very likely, huh

This is the only game where I felt a little bit of sadness when I defeated a boss. In this case it was for The End, The Fury and The Boss. Especially The Fury and his mental health. These cutscenes are a joy to watch after all these years, so thank you to the hero that recorded the vid, and also to the one that posted this video.
Yeah, I was going to say that, just an animated feature made of all the cutscenes just rendered with a TINY bit of polish, and just some extra bits added in between e.g. defeating the ocelot unit, bosses, etc (even if in the fox engine!). Would be awesome ...
Originally, the Fury didn't scare me. But this remake of him gave me chills. The shine of his suit, the movement of the flames, the reflection of his helmet, they all felt like water. Made me fear to touch it. Too bad it wasn't a boss battle.
This game holds dear to my heart I remember when my older brother surprised us with this game for Christmas, we grew up in a poor family didn’t have much, never did Christmas, but for my brother to get us this game and growing up with mgs 1, the theme song playing that Christmas morning was heartwarming.
MrBraddles3128 He's right. We meant "Remake". There's already MGS3 Remastered on the HD/Legacy Collection. But the PS3 version can only go up to 720p and when ever PS2 titles hit PSVITA, there's no 60 Frames Per Seconds and that disappointed me and there is no PS4 version. There IS a Remake game on the Nintendo 3DS, but it's only running in 12-20 FPS.
I never knew this existed, it's beyond amazing. Everything besides the facial animations are great. I wish they had made a full length movie out of this.

This is the only game where I felt a little bit of sadness when I defeated a boss. In this case it was for The End, The Fury and The Boss. Especially The Fury and his mental health.
These cutscenes are a joy to watch after all these years, so thank you to the hero that recorded the vid, and also to the one that posted this video.
I can't get over how perfect Robin Wright would be if she played The Boss in an MGS3 movie. They even sound similar.

Originally, the Fury didn't scare me. But this remake of him gave me chills. The shine of his suit, the movement of the flames, the reflection of his helmet, they all felt like water. Made me fear to touch it. Too bad it wasn't a boss battle.

This game holds dear to my heart I remember when my older brother surprised us with this game for Christmas, we grew up in a poor family didn’t have much, never did Christmas, but for my brother to get us this game and growing up with mgs 1, the theme song playing that Christmas morning was heartwarming.

There's already MGS3 Remastered on the HD/Legacy Collection.
But the PS3 version can only go up to 720p and when ever PS2 titles hit PSVITA, there's no 60 Frames Per Seconds and that disappointed me and there is no PS4 version.
There IS a Remake game on the Nintendo 3DS, but it's only running in 12-20 FPS.
