    I put one in my “Blue Label,” Gen 5, G-34 & a 3.5lb connector makes the trigger even better!

      Really?? When I looked at the connector from TTI I wasn’t sure which one it was. Johnny Glock has a good series on connector identification by the angle. It was highly polished but I will try the 3.5# connector in my Glock 19x maybe. With the TTI connector kit and the Timney trigger, I’m sitting at 2.8-3.0lbs. That’s as low as I want right now.

    it's a nice trigger, especially for the price point. But I'm sold on the Johnny Glock competition trigger though. I love the rolling break feeling more, especially when I'm going to slap that trigger. Also, the sluggish reset is a turnoff, but I've seen people pull off 0.14s splits with it, which is faster than I can pull the trigger

    • @cerebralfirearms
      @cerebralfirearms  2 года назад

      I may send mine off to him to recalibrate the reset.

    • @alonsoarellanocarryoptics
      @alonsoarellanocarryoptics 2 года назад

      I’ve done .14 splits with my Timney but you have to bend the connector back and bend the trigger bar cruciform down a bit and trust me the reset is way faster ….

    • @cerebralfirearms
      @cerebralfirearms  2 года назад

      I want him to redo my timney but the fucking $250 price tag is insane. Don’t feel like hitting the $350 mark on a trigger just for 1 pound less and a better reset. It wouldn’t effect my time much anyway in USPSA so maybe sometime in the future. I wouldn’t mind trying his competition trigger either. Maybe I’ll do a video on it. I appreciate the comment brother and good luck this year!!

    I purchased a Timney Alpha Gen 5. It arrived with a defective transfer bar. The transfer bar will not allow the sear to release the striker. Timney does not answer my emails and phone calls. Their customer service SUCKS!

    • @cerebralfirearms
      @cerebralfirearms  2 года назад +1

      Oh no that stinks. I can honestly say that I have only experienced customer service from Taran Tactical, Blue Alpha Gear, and Vortex. Taran was very responsive but gave me false information on a set of sights. Luckily I had another Glock the sights could go on so it wasn’t a complete waste and they gave me a code for free shipping. The other two were phenomenal. I can attempt to speak to my LGS who has a contact for Timney if you would like. Just let me know and I’m sorry that happened. Thanks for watching.

    i had one in my gun that i was using for USPSA competitions. I took it out though. The break is amazing but the reset is way too sluggish. Even with the red spring, i was getting trigger freeze because i was moving faster than the trigger is capable of. I definietly wouldn't recommend this to people who are not using it for competition since they changed the way the trigger works internally.

    • @cerebralfirearms
      @cerebralfirearms  2 года назад +2

      Reset is the only sucky thing about this trigger. I’ve noticed I’ve had to pull my finger off the trigger instead of it be semi natural. Especially when I’m rapid firing. I’m working on something to fix this.

      Honestly, man, very fair point. The videos I did in the beginning were primarily me doing this for myself. I had no idea people were going to watch anything I was doing at this point in my RUclips career or lack there of. I think it would be beneficial to redo this video and some before it as well. Can’t say I did any justice to it and apologize.

      @cerebralfirearms  2 месяца назад

      @weneedsaving515 if you’re really interested, DM me on Instagram, but I can give you a couple things that I found out by paying a load of money for triggers for my carry optics pistol.
      The Timney Alpha is a decent trigger, but there are way better out there especially for the price. Johnny Glock I think hands-down has some of the best triggers out there for Glock. I’ve heard through the grapevine that tactical pontoon is incredible as well. You’re looking at around $250-$300 for those triggers though.
      The Timney trigger has a good break but you suffer a horrible reset. Fixing it cost me a hundred or more bucks. Honestly, if it was me to do all over again, I’d go Johnny Glock or Tactical Pontoon.
