Buried bloodline on void is actually amazing. The weaken on devour means you no longer need -20 discipline for a fragment and it synergizes with void hunter so well
And don't forget that this season you can use gyrfalcon, Buried Bloodline, and a strand primary to give you weaken, devour, volatile, unraveling, threadlings, and even suppresion if you want all on one build! Way too fun.
Merciless is more than just a weirdo PvE thing, it's used in basically every solo raid kill because of the absurd total damage and DPS it brings to the table for a special weapon. See: literally any solo Nezarec kill.
Witherhoard is the "Set it, and Forget it" of Destiny. Crazy total damage, autoloading, and even when you miss the direct shot you still get some value out of the AoE. MORE DoTs
Hijacking this comment to point out Izanagi's other big class of mains, and that is Gambit players. Yeah, there's always a flavor of the month exotic heavy like Xeno or Gjallarhorn or Eyes of Tomorrow to compete with it, but if you're instead using Eager Edge to navigate the map faster than Fallout can call Xur's latest inventory trash, you've got a gun that can put you on even footing with anything. Just don't miss.
12:40 Okay, but effigy can 1-tap well and bubbles, and even if by some miracle they do survive, the instant heals are disrupted, meaning they don't have the free win against you anymore.
Hey, Robot spiders made me brave enough to try Gambit as my entry to PvP as I could just take my red bar destroying build and slap the colony onto it throw them in the general direction of enemies, now I'm even seen in crucible now and then as a result... and I've retired the colony, but I digress, it was still nice for a FPS idiot like me.
Just wanna add. I use borealis because of the fundamentals perk. It's an aggressive with 100 handling or aggressive with 72 or 75 aa, and you can get damn close to 85 with armor mods. I was remembering old enhanced targeting mods since they were 15 aa instead of just 10 now with the 3 mods. Sadness
@@angelousmortis8041 It kinda depends what you're trying to do. Its Arc version is 100 handling, which for a 72rpm is really strong, but the lack of Snapshot caps it a little bit in that respect--Bite of the Fox has an extremely comparable ADS time given a max handling roll (50) and Snapshot (0.8x animation scalar on special weapons). Once you start looking outside the 72rpm archetype, you can find faster. Solar gives it a bunch of AE, which is always going to be kinda niche on snipers, but if you're buildcrafting for air snipes, that's potentially easier to work with than a typical sniper with Extended Mag and Icarus Grip on for at best 30. Lastly the Void version with 75 AA is also really solid by 72rpm standards, but among snipers generally that's only okay--keep in mind that AA cones scale somewhat with zoom stat, and so I would be unsurprised if Opening Shot Occluded Finality (67AA and 58 zoom) has better aim assist overall. Praedyth's Revenge certainly does (78AA baseline, 49 zoom, rolls Moving Target + Opening Shot for 100), though that's a rapid-fire. So what you have in Borealis is a really strongly statted sniper, but in a jack-of-all-trades way--appropriate enough considering the theming. Middling zoom at 45, 72rpm for high body shot damage, high but not insurmountable handling/AA, decent baseline AE with the option to go solar for more. You can do many of those things better on other guns, but not without sacrificing other stats.
Vexcalibur is sneakily so good on Gryfalcon's Hunter. All the void OS and invis dipping you could want, with a ridiculous DR shield to soak damage on GM revives if your dodge loop runs out
Glaives can save a GM run in capable hands, especially Vexcalibur, though I prefer Ecliptic Distaff for those plays. The regen on Vex doesn’t really do much in GMs and the shotgun-type blast isn’t ideal at normal GM ranges. I’d rather use my exotic slot on other weapons.
Of the many neat things Vexcalibur can do, one of them is give you a teeny little bit of overshield when you have downtime on Void Titan, even in PVP, which helps your ability regen.
As a PVE Eriana's Vow lover.... Kinda ya, I got it back when it dropped and it was one of the only anti barrier weapons I had at the time. It also was actually pretty solid in low to mid level content.
When it comes down to Jotunn, I would always imagine myself as the Destiny version of Megaman (especially with that dream chaser ornament), and I always imagined The Navigator as Destinys version of the medigun from TF2.
When that ornament dropped I couldn't stop thinking about that too, I even made a submission for 2022's FOTL costume thing with my titan, using the Lion Rampant with Belenus Boosters and various shaders.
Im that rare breed of Eriana's enjoyer that, weirdly enough, doesn't enjoy it in PVP. Very niche gun, for a very niche build. But, it is the definition of a Hand Cannon. I take it with me in PVE a little too often. About 6k kills, not a whole lot, but it continues to rise. I do indeed keep that big iron on my hip.

On the “the community wants Jötunn nerfed” topic.. I want it nerfed, but, not for myself. For my random blueberries who get ran over by that one Jötunn user who gobbles more Special Ammo bricks than a goblin gobbles gold coins.
I am an enjoyer of many special exotics but Ex Diris has a special little place in my soul. Idk why but it's fun. Sadly I think it was misunderstood on release and I can't blame the community because bungie gave it 2 very conflicting perks. On one hand, you have a good ammo economy, no reloads and a perk that lets you take/deal damage to shoot faster. On the other hand, you have an intrinsic cooldown to the moth summons in the timeframe of 4~ seconds. It's not crippling but I'll be damned if it's not synergetic to the rest of the weapon. The 4 second moth cooldown doesn't sound like an issue until you realise in that time you can easily shoot 5+ grenades in that time which is 1/6th of your reserves. The gun wants to spam but the moths want to wait. In a way, it makes it kind of like a pseudo-witherhoard like. Properly positioned and timed shots along with weapon swapping will give you maximum value, over spamming it.
Ive helped a ton of newer guardian teams beat encounters in raids with div, fucked around with solo precision builds with div, and got my first ever flawless card card filled out with it as one of my main weapons. I love divinity with all my heart
I've actually really been loving the Radiant Dance Machine, Reaper, Wavesplitter combo. Dance around enemies, infinitely generating orbs and hyper beaming enemies into oblivion. So fun
Prometheus Lens + a solar LMG with incandescent like Unwavering Duty is probably my favourite loadout in the game. It was my second exotic in D2, it has a special place in my heart, and it's so much fun when you can clear trash encounters in raids basically on your own.
Damn you nailed me with the Buried Bloodline one.... hahaha. I can think of at least three conversations I've had recently about how cracked it is using Buried Bloodline on my strand build so I can have devour, weaken, unraveling, threadlings, tangles, sever, etc. all up at the same damn time. OR this season using the strand artifact mods and using BB on my gyrfalcons build but running Rufus' Fury so I can have devour, weaken, volatile, unraveling, and threadlings all at the same time. Volatile + unraveling is so fun. Purple AND green explosions!!!
Like the SUROS Regime primary in the first video, you nailed it again with Forerunner in the special slot: the main reason I put the Regime away occasionally. Now excuse me while I take an Advil for my back. Hauling those 100 pound CRTs to LAN parties came at a high cost.
Jotunn holds a special place in my heart for the sole fact that it was a PHENOMENAL Gambit weapon. When gambit roles were still something people cared about, rocking a solar fusion that can take care of taken knights was a plus. You could also just shoot it in the general direction of a guardian or group of dregs and it would get the job done.
As a div main I like to use it because of how many things can be used in tandom with the 15% debuff. Severing a target, scorching a target, solar ignitions, arc souls, and necrotic grips poison are some examples. I also like to see how my teammates approach at shooting the bubble with their loadouts. Sometimes I hear snipers or linear fusion rifles go all out on it lol. The way the bullets/projectiles from my teammates hit the outer area of the bubble is just satisfying. I use it on my warlock in PvE and PvP. For example, div and sniper swapping is a wacky but fun load out to get easy precision shots on the bubble while it’s still up on an opponent. I use it as much as I can in strikes and other activities. It’s pretty rare to see someone else using div in those situations. Overall a fun support weapon to use.
As someone who tends to slap Conditional on most things: Seeing my friends display this shotgun before I even got into D2 single handedly got me to start playing the game. The thing is absolutely gorgeous and the fact that it's good just lets me enjoy it's aesthetics even more. I love it. In every way.
Ruinous effigy goes HARD with a void volatility build. Get volatile rounds, make a ball, and walk around in guard mode to make everything volatile and suppressed (but not actually having the suppression debuff)
As the div user - thank you. I have a full loadout slot dedicated to my divinity - though I more use it to give my teammates heavy with cenotaph so they don't run out of ammo.
I unironically have been permanentlt using the laser tag banner since it dropped. I had multiple flawless runs that weekend. Its the most fun i've had with d2 pvp ever
Love the vid bro- spot on pretty much everywhere highly entertaining. Definitely do more of this. Malfeasance is my favorite exotic by a wide mile, btw.
Man, edge of intent is so nice though in the new episode content, run the speakers mask, solar support build, and you are a heal turret god. It’s wonderful in GM’s
And one thing you will notice is most of the trace rifle clips are outside of checkmate. I finally found a build that I enjoyed using traces and now im stuck without my main weapon for 60% of the match thanks to checkmate
Me, a PvE Lorentz Driver user, sitting back and chuckling to myself knowing how absolutely amazing it is for add clear and how powerful it can get when you are able to proc Lagrangian sight.
Erianas vow was all I used in destiny 2 with the starcrossed armor for the lesbian couple that met a tragic fate with in the lore. Even had my name on there as Wei Ning for a bit
Hey man I watch your videos all the time and this one was especially awesome. I'm laughing out loud for real. I also can't get enough of the 50 games series. Keep fighting the good fight brother!
Buried Bloodline is one of the few specials i can use as a primary with another special. Good ammo economy and good damage vs ads. It also works amazingly well with void hunter. I either run this or the pulse from ron. Make everything explode and infinite invis with gyrfalcons
Let me tell you about a friend of mine. He mains Ruinous Effigy in PvE. He runs Gyrfalcon's Hauberk and is a permanently invisible payload delivery device. He's been doing this since the GH came out.
Before I leaned into arbalest (I'd rather one shot a barrier 100% of the time than almost none of it, thanks teammates) I loved soloing lost sectors and picking off champions with Eriana's, or clearing the final boss room of SoTW with Dead Messenger when it had great seasonal buffs. Good times. Bloodline's fun because funny (and very 'pwetty' broke down during that) crossbow, maybe concurrence because finally getting that tracker is pure dopamine, ex diris helps me feel like I have friends who also want revenge on hive knights (dreadnaught), and finally, LoW because I want to give my fellow forsaken players ptsd from it :)
You missed Malfeasance. I use it for lols during mayhem matches to take guardians out of their super. I used to always bring Witherhoard into Crucible Control matches. Even post nerf it’s sometimes just enough to keep the opponent from locking down control points before my team could flip one.
If we were curious on how some of our more questionable guild mates did damage, we usually have one of the top 2 or 3 dps put on div. We used it as a measuring stick to help shore up some weaker guild mates.
10:52 As a Divinity PvP main, it would've been funny if Fallout had mentioned the small amount of players like myself who enjoy using Div against other guardians. It never gets old to find someone caught off guard by the funny laser beam that makes their hitbox several times larger while trying to frantically hide. Not to mention it's also hilarious to encounter the very rare scenario of catching someone in well off guard for long enough to be shattered in a single hit by Div's Penance perk.
Ayo fallout, I feel so damn called out by how much I love Ager's Scepter. I did the quest and got the irl beanie for getting Ager's and you literally attacked me directly 😂😂
Have to say merciless is my favorite crucible special exotic but hey. Also div, I got tired of the team arguing so I grabbed div, made a build, and now div out dps most on the fireteam

This video has made me realize that I... Don't have a favorite special exotic. In fact I rarely use them at all.
Legendary Freak. :)
Erianas Vow, Lucky Pants, Auto loading/Reconstruction rocket is my actual baby
Ager’s Scepter is my favorite special and you’re goddamn right I really love stasis and tinkered with the fragments around to mess with it lol
PVE Eriana's here, I use it because I do mostly lfg raiding. Often I find having a massive, anti-barrier iron to bonk things with comes in clutch.
PvE Erianas enjoyers rise up! Im always out-damaging whole fireteams with lucky pants 😜
The response to CloudStrike is BEYOND ACCURATE!
11:36 listen man before conditional there was one sure fire way to get rid of wells and bubbles and I’m a force to be reckoned with in GM’s
Warms my heart eveytime I see a new Fallout upload.
I've been using ticuss the past 2months n pvp it's surprisingly good
Especially with the catalyst, but I mainly use it in gambit
Jotunn holds a special place in my heart for the sole fact that it was a PHENOMENAL Gambit weapon. When gambit roles were still something people cared about, rocking a solar fusion that can take care of taken knights was a plus. You could also just shoot it in the general direction of a guardian or group of dregs and it would get the job done.
Forerunner has been glued to me for trials for several seasons now.
Looks like an overall fun quest. It's a great review, and I'm hoping to see more in the future
As someone who tends to slap Conditional on most things:
Seeing my friends display this shotgun before I even got into D2 single handedly got me to start playing the game.
I unironically use telesto in pvp and I find it hilarious when I get t-bagged by someone using Jötunn
Oh that’s not…..😂
The winds blowing yet again... Which direction this time? 🤣 😆
Honestly, Lorentz Driver in PvE with the catalyst gives me lots of dopamine, and for one reason:
Those BEAUTIFUL SOUNDING void explosions.
Man, edge of intent is so nice though in the new episode content, run the speakers mask, solar support build, and you are a heal turret god. It’s wonderful in GM’s
Prometheus goes great with Gunpowder Gamble on a Solar Hunter
And one thing you will notice is most of the trace rifle clips are outside of checkmate. I finally found a build that I enjoyed using traces and now im stuck without my main weapon for 60% of the match thanks to checkmate
You missed mentioning merciless in PVP. The range and stability with the masterwork are insane
Witherhoard and explosive personality works really good with rain of fire btw
As a vexcalibur main, I would just like to say that you are absolutely correct.
Another one! Don’t know if I even play with exotic specials, but man is this video entertaining!
Me, a PvE Lorentz Driver user, sitting back and chuckling to myself knowing how absolutely amazing it is for add clear and how powerful it can get when you are able to proc Lagrangian sight.
9:13 we stan Karlach in this house
Anyone remember an old phone game called “Call of Mini: Infinity”? Using Coldheart in PvP reminds me of the laser gun in that game. Too good.
lol Cloudstrike bit got me. Fun vid!
Great video! Howled at the Cloudstrilke joke and I'm not ashamed of it.
That cloudstrike part was really funny lol
You get a Like for "trouser tent" pivoting into the ad break. Nicely done. Also - I got called out on Witherhoard, soooooo thanks.
Spot on with ex dris. I don't use it anymore but when it was released I enjoyed giving destiny the finger in the middle
Ayo fallout, I feel so damn called out by how much I love Ager's Scepter. I did the quest and got the irl beanie for getting Ager's and you literally attacked me directly 😂😂
Nailed it. Eriana's vow PvE enjoyer here. Glad to see I'm quite unique. The Barrier champ symbol gives me dopamine.
Have to say merciless is my favorite crucible special exotic but hey. Also div, I got tired of the team arguing so I grabbed div, made a build, and now div out dps most on the fireteam
1. Thank you for the kind words on Borealis
2. I have almost PvP 5000k(Crucible) kills on Parasite, I can’t wait for what my favorite heavy weapon says about me.
