    On RUclips there are about 1000 reviews of the V6, two reviews of the four cylinder and 1 review of the diesel.

    I have a 2018 Stinger 2.2 RWD diesel, with all possible equipment and paid only €30.000 (IMO best value for money). I'm very happy with the car and especially the fuel economy (7.5/100), which is nearly equal to my previous 1.7 diesel Optima. I'm enjoying driving it every day and the headturning design is just stunning. This is for sure currently one of the most underrated cars on the market.

    • @iamsellek
      @iamsellek Год назад +1

      how has it been so far? I know your comment is 2 years old but I am considering getting one in your spec and was just wondering how has your experience been?

    • @s7yler
      @s7yler Год назад +3

      @@iamsellek I switched from Diesel to Gasoline, because I'm from Germany and here diesel is getting restrictions in some cities. I wouldn't buy a diesel car today. In general the stinger was a nice car, just the diesel engine was a problem for me, so today I'm in a gasoline driven PROCEED GT instead.

    • @iamsellek
      @iamsellek Год назад

      @@s7yler thanks for the reply. I appreciate the feedback! did the diesel stinger still live up to the expectations if you don't include the diesel-problems in germany?

    • @s7yler
      @s7yler Год назад +2

      @@iamsellek the diesel stinger was pretty heavy, and had 200HP and the Vmax of 235 km/h wasn't special. But besides of that it was a nice car for cruising. The thing is just that in my Proceed GT now I also have 204HP but here I can achieve a Vmax of 240 km/h and the car is lighter (but also smaller), and a lot louder, so I feel the Proceed is faster and more fun to drive than the diesel Stinger was. But the fuel economy was a lot better in the Stinger because it was diesel.

    What a great combo. Being of an age, I remember the first dismal South Korean cars to hit our shores - Kia and Hyuandai have come so far, so quickly. The Stinger is a proper piece of kit to rival the best now.

    Also added electronics exhaust added 19 stinger wheels and 4 pipes (our tax here is astronomical for 3.3 v6) I love it

    Great review, lovely looking car and has all the kit you could possibly need. Good mpg. I have been looking for the past month at options of a used car no more than 2 years old. I've looked at the VW Arteon (test drove and was pretty dull), Mercedes E Class 350d, BMW 5 series 530d, a Golf R Estate, Audi S5 sportback. For the performance and styling the fact KIA is getting closer and closer to the German big 3/4 is testament to their huge progress. I'd love the 3.3 GTS Stinger but fear the economy will be a no-no. The 2.0 petrol looks interesting and I never thought of the diesel as a viable option until your review. Has plenty of NM torque. You can pick up good 2nd hand models for £22-25k in the UK now fully spec'd too. New still great, as with the German 3 to spec same as KIA would easily add another £15,000 to the price tag. Think I'm going to ditch the badge snobbery and go Korean especially with the 7 year warranty.

    Until I can buy the correct Tesla I am driving diesel cars... pure and simple. The more and more I look for a GT car like this I always end on Kia Stinger 2.2 AWD... I could not test drive it last time at the dealer..(out of time) but I tested the seats and the driving position ( I am 1.73 m) and got this nice pleasant feeling of like I was sitting in something special, but I am planing on buy after 2 years and then one fully loaded model 2019. Rear-wheel drive car in winter driving naahh I am to old for that... So safe overtaking in comfort and style hmm that is me, smile and thanks for the video.

    I'm thinking of getting one and became aware of the fact that Kia made a diesel version when browsing Autotrader. One I shortlisted is the very car reviewed here. Yes, LF18NND. In July '22 it's got nearly 19,000 miles on the clock and the dealer selling it wants £23,480 for it.

    Please stop referring to this as a saloon- it is not, it is a hatchback, which is way more practical and saying saloon may prevent people from investigating this car further.

      The body shape is a four door saloon, though. An Aston Martin Vantage, for example, has a hatchback, but it’s a two-door coupé not a hatchback.

    I have a Red GT2 AWD Gasoline Stinger and it's the shiz. I don't think you can mod the diesel as much but I could be wrong. We don't get the diesel in the US I don't believe. I've already done intakes and exhaust, plugs and race chip. Over 400 WHP and 500 lb-ft of torque. I do not get 40MPG though but I do still get around 23 combined.

    • @s7yler
      @s7yler 5 лет назад +2

      Well, what about the warranty when you mod your KIA? I'm pretty sure most here don't mod their new KIA, because that would mean you would loose the 7 year warranty immediately. So for "normal" people I don't think it's so important that you can't mod it.

    • @s7yler
      @s7yler 5 лет назад +3

      Diesel is cheaper than petrol. Also the service intervals are longer on the diesel vs. the petrol + lower tax. So in the long run it will be cheaper with a diesel, especially if you drive your car a lot.

    • @s7yler
      @s7yler 3 года назад +1

      @@Ciaran334 Nonsense, it's the other way around. The diesel Stinger AWD only needs Service and oil every 30.000 km or 1 time every 2 year. The Gasolin model needs new oil every 10.000 km.
      Gasoline cars need new oil a lot more often than diesel. My previous Kia Optima Diesel also only needed every 30.000 km or 1 time every 2 year.
      Diesel engines generally also runs/live longer than gasoline engines. That's why there are many old diesel cars in Germany with over 300-400.000 km behind.
      Here the official German KIA service intervals, that proves that I am right.

      @Ciaran334 3 года назад +1

      @@s7yler These are official service intervals provided by the manufacturer. These service intervals are spread out to encourage company fleet buyers with cheaper service plans. Likewise when selling to a private buyer in the showroom. Independent tests have shown oil contaiments are considerable at 5000 miles.
      Certainly don't believe the manufacturer.
      In reality these official service figures are not correct

    We need a car not a plastic rubber. We know the price is fabulous, but it is really rubbish cheep plastic assembly. BMW and Mercedes has a quality plastic and materials plus engineering performance. Kia life is short after 5 years you will get lots of problems. Because, it is not a just design of body or Shane 🚗. Quality first, safety and security , comfortable and price of curse . Thanks

      Absolutely disagree, i have a Stinger and i don't know what are you talking about, There is real leather everywhere, and even if there are plastics they are premium ones, soft and solid, almost all the assembly is well made, except for some noises during travel, there is a lot of attention do details, and the most important thing, the fact that it's very reliable, in contrary new Mercedeses and BMW's aren't, and even if it breaks the repair cost would be half price because Kia is not a premium brand, also 7 years of warranty here in europe with unlimited KM's is not a joke at all
