- Here are some great baseball calls by Gary Thorne! Subscribe if you enjoyed!
Clips included show his calls from MLB international, ESPN, MASN (as the Orioles broadcaster), and more.
This video is purely for entertainment.
Gary Thorne is the best sports announcers in sports history. Nobody will ever be better. I love his electrifying calls. He needs no application or interview; just sign him.
I have to agree! From baseball and hockey to even bowling, Gary is one of the best out there!
Orioles firing Gary was just terrible, So i fired the Orioles
I want him back at NHL on ESPN.
AIN'T THAT THE TRUTH!!!!!
@@terryprice6122 Terry, you got that right! Gary Thorne is one of the BEST hockey broadcasters!
You can tell that Gary Thorne is *so* done with Gleyber Torres. 😁
He was the best with the orioles. Gary and Jim Palmer. Hell of a combo
Getting rid of him was the dumbest thing MASN has ever done besides cost the Orioles an ASG.
Your are sooooooooo right@@Matt-hl5vm
As a Brit who grew up on MLB International's feed of the World Series on Channel 5 and latterly BT Sport, I absolutely think without a shadow of a doubt that Gary Thorne's GOODBYE HOME RUN!!! is the absolute definitive way to call a home run, no matter how exhilarating or exasperating it sounds. Just wished he'd have called a home run in his Augusta Masters voice.
This man was giving us legendary commentary from the nhl and baseball what a legend I still remember the avalanche Stanley cup hoist it’s good to know he left a legendary comment for us Raymonds 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
9:37 has to be the most cleanest footage of Aaron Boone’s walk off homerun on RUclips
In the comments section of the video I pulled it from someone said that series was big in Japan because of Hideki Matsui, and apparently the Japanese had more advanced HD in 2003 lol
The voice of my childhood and a bit of my adulthood as an Orioles fan. Wish he was still with us.
I miss Thorne calling Orioles games. That’s 2 great announcers the Orioles owners have let get out of town. Gary Thorne and the great John Miller, the former voice of the Orioles.
I really miss him. It'd be amazing if Rubenstein could manage to bring him back in some capacity.
In my mind Gary Thorne is hands down the best sports announcer. Its sad to me that he never recieved the accolades that he should have and since the early 2000s he hasnt been with any of the major sports networks. This guy should be calling hockey games and baseball games regulary.
• “No errors… except for that one”
• “oooooooooh goodbye home run, Chris Davis”
• Empty ballpark masters voice
• Gleyber Torres tormenting the Orioles and Gary
Some of many great moments that show why Gary Thorne is the best overall broadcaster in sports. Hockey, baseball, football… he can do it all.
Also "Trembleeeee, Wembleeee, Galore!" (I think?)
Not to mention bowling! He was on the broadcaster when Pete Weber said "who do you think you are? I am!"
Wish he never retired from national tv... one of the best to do it, as an orioles fan I wish we gave him a better team to call
He was Fired by the Orioles, So i fired the Orioles
I could go without a mute button on my television when Gary Thorne is the announcer.
He was a fucking legend! Miss him calling the O’s with Palmer
Gary Thorne's call of the David Freese walk off is LEAGUES better than Joe Buck's on the national broadcast. It's what makes guys like Gary Thorne so good and what makes me hate Joe Buck so much more
Eh, i mean Joe Buck wasn't as excited as Thorne but he had surgery so his voice was broken that year, also he honored his dad saying "We will see you tommorrow night" so i think he pulled it off
My favorite part 5:02. He was just a force calling those games
I remember him calling met games!! I miss that! He is my all time favorite announcer!
Orioles, Yankees, Mets, hockey, Little League, or even a commercial for oranges, Gary Thorne is awesome!
Heard the last recent announcing job he had was alternate radio announcer for the Mets. I would love to hear his voice on national television one more time.
He deserves the world series
I know Gary, great guy and an amazing announcer.
3:17 LMAO
I have watched Gary Thorne back in the day he is as good as advertised😊
All great calls but Thorne was deep in his bag for the Seattle/Yankees 95 ALCS
The Scott Brosius call is legendary
Gary Thorne could commentate paint drying and I’ll watch the entire thing
Gary Thorne is great for baseball but a million times better in hockey
3:29 this is the best one lmao
“OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”
under rated reporter!
Everyone knows this guy's calls in the NHL. Gretzky had it, lost it, Yzerman picks it up blue li- SCOOOOOORE! STEVE YZERMAN! DETROIT WINS!!
Love Gary's Masters voice from Philadelphia❤️💙🤍 to Baltimore🖤🧡
5:16 just perfect…
Piazza had the smoothest swing I’ve ever seen.
“ They have done it again “ oh man. Chills
Didn't Gary call Game 7 of the 2001 World Series?
My Mets included. A lot of Baltimore, though.
What network/station was Thorne calling for during Freese’s HR?
MLB international. Vasgersian is the lead broadcaster for it now I believe.
14:30 the match orioles vs boston red sox on which day?
May 6, 2012 when Chris Davis pitched and got the win (final score was 9-6)
This is what many of you came to see 3:15 😂😂
1:58 BEST CALL OF THEM ALL !!!
Don’t get how no one was talkin bout the pujols clip
So good at MASN for the Oriole broadcasts! Always seemed to keep Jim Palmer's enormous ego in check!!
Now he's been replaced on that network by Kevin Brown who only wants to mention exit velocity, spin rotation, percentages, etc.
I suppose this is a reflection of the " new direction" of the Orioles toward analytics... Zzzzz
New direction…you mean cheapskate.
Well, Gary was actually a MASN employee and the ballclub wants the broadcasters to reflect their direction that they've chosen, which is the analytical mindset. Kevin Brown reflects the emphasis they've put on those aspects of the game.
3:12 had me geekin
MR. GOODBYE!!! HOME RUN!!!!
thanks
2:00 this play always makes me laugh bc why did the second runner try and score? He had no shot 😂
Goodbye Homerun 😢
9:04 GOODBYE HOME RUN! THEY HAVE DONE IT AGAIN!
Was this updated?
This is a combination of the Orioles video and the baseball section of part 4. I wanted to make a single video dedicated to just baseball (that wasn't only Orioles calls).
@@MattCProductions_ I got some new hockey clips that hasn't been used yet.
I have have been a Os fan since 1969. I will Never forgive the Orioles for Firing Gary
Where's his calls as a Mets announcer for all those years??
couldn't find many of them. I think there's one with Piazza in here and also the Ventura grand slam single, but other than that, I couldn't find much.
While I prefer Gary Thorne's Hockey broadcasting he's awesome at baseball too
It's a shame he was stuck on so many bad Orioles telecasts all those years.
GOODBYE, HOMERUN
Good bye homerun
TRUMBOOOO...BUMBOOOO....JUMBOOOOO
17:07 way back and GUH!!😣😣
Gary Thorne hates Torres.
Kim hates the Yankees
Especially Not Joe Buck Back At The Wall
And, as all things are with the Orioles, they wasted him. Just like they waste the careers of almost everyone who plays for them. Hell Ripken played 21 seasons and played in ONE world series. But the future is bright, right guys?
#SKYSPORTS GOODBYE HOME RUN! YANKEES 🇺🇸
18:12
#SKYSPORTS ORIOLES END 🇺🇸
Compare Gary's David Freese call to Joe Buck's. Its almost embarrassing for Joe. Lol
Better at hockey
Best in all sports. Nobody is better.
@@tomh2263 he is one of the best no matter the sport! Did he ever call soccer?
@@railfanbryan7225 Not sure.
@@railfanbryan7225 while I don’t know about soccer, I can tell you he did Bowling at one point. The Pete Weber “who do you think you are I am” meme came from a match Thorne was commentating for whatever reason
@@novaspartan7656 i believe that was a PBA championship match
The MLB completely ruined Chris Davis’ career. So completely horrible
