@0:31 Even if it's my team, I have always thought letting the ball just drop shouldn't be allowed. It gives the players no option. If you run, they catch it, and you're out. You don't run they let it drop, and you're still out.
I dont get it . Years ago rosario got picked off while over celebrating at frst . Now he just walks slowly into the bag and gets tagged out. Does he have any sense of urgency or is he just throwing the games ?
I know it reads like broken English -- "Most Rarest..." -- but I realize now that what it means is this is "Most" of the "Rarest Plays..." -- that's why the video is 30 minutes long yet one single play in baseball is only seconds. Poorly worded title, but admittedly the only reason I clicked on this... to correct bad grammar, which although it reads poorly, is actually accurate.
Cricket players catch balls bare handed literally every time they field the ball, why is it when in baseball a player grabs the ball barehanded is it like "ooooooh wow barehanded omg that must have been so difficult"
If I we're the coach Franco's ass would have been sitting on the bench the second he got back to the dugout if it wasn't the 3rd out I'm pulling him right then. What's absolutely maddening is you see that Revere catch, or the Jim Edmonds one and yet pretty much any video ranking the greatest catches ever will undoubtedly list that Willie Mays catch #1 simple because they feel they are supposed to. That may have been the greatest at the time but it is ordinary at best and yes I know it was at the Polo Grounds and was like 480 ft away but never the less it's insanity to say it's the best. Just because something happened long ago doesn't give it a magic edge.
Also, my mistake for not realizing, but what happened to the play when an outfielder robbed a home run, but then fell over the fence. I thought that was a home run but now i see players making those catches and they are outs
I believe the way the rule is worded is that the fielder must be established on the field of play. The way most outfield fences are built (not short 2-3 feet tall like foul territory) mean that this is almost a given in fair territory. The fielder must leap from the field of play. For example, they could not climb over the fence and make a catch standing in the bleachers.
There are some truly remarkable plays here but my favorite, which I saw live, was Jeter’s flip to the plate as he charged toward the first base line: ruclips.net/video/oPNB4JZDEHk/видео.html
23:39 If he's out at the plate, he's safe at third. The force was erased when the tag was made on the batter, and the third baseman didn't tag the runner.
Imagine a lead actress being so terrible she killed a cinematic universe before it even launched. If she had said they were creating a cinematic universe that varies wildly from the original source material but is worth giving a chance instead of just sh***ing on the original every chance she got then people may have given it a chance.
third was saafe both times!!!! The third base ump hell i could not see where he tied his seeing-eye dog??? again???i know a blind man that needs a job at third base!!!
As a former cricketer and cricket (and baseball/Cubs) fan I am always mildly amused at how commentators get so excited over "bare hand plays". In cricket it's standard...there ain't no other way to do it
@@aaronfagerstrom34 I think you need some work on your maths. And if you think a ball released at 90-100mph in a professional cricket game is easy to hit on the bounce why don't you try it. It seems easy until you realise there's no reason why it can't be bounced at your head or straight at your feet.

what crap. that 2nd base and 3rd base tags at 2 min in video, the runners are both safe, called out wrong. had foot on bag.
29:59 Ouch. That's gotta hurt.
Imagine not having Michael Brantleys double play in the 2019 alcs
😂
Ty
First clip didn’t age so well did it 😂
May I suggest "morest rare"?
😊
Morest rarerest.
you do not need the word 'most' when using a word with an 'est' ending
Bad English grammar! Rarest (not most rarest)
''Most rare" or just "rarest." It's grade school grammar...
The title of this illustrates the degradation of English.
2:13 is a terrible fking play
I think the Yankees should try. To get my gummy
At 27:31 is almost sounds like someone saying the n-word.
"Most Rarest"?? LMAO...It's either "Rarest" or "Most Rare". You look not so ejumakated wif that title, bruh.
unsub because you lied to me
😂
Where did you learn English? It should be EITHER "most rare" or "rarest," NOT "most rarest"!
announcers go nuts when the players make a bare handed catch but the fans do it all the time.
Did that seriously say "most rarest"????
"Most Rarest"? I'm guessing English your second language? It's "Most Rare" or "Rarest".
You can do "Rarest" or maybe even "Most Rare" but "Most Rarest" is just word vomit. Pick one or the other, don't do both.
Thanks
because with all that is wrong with the world today grammar is important.
@@georgehoppes6456 it isn't a competition.

Stop whining about the title, the world has enough grammar Nazis, and just be grateful for un-woke Baseball.

Chess and baseball makes sense. I have other hobbies and interests, too. But my main focus is work. And some of the basics.
Let me know if I'm too old to chase ass so I can buy some disgrace gray.
Hardly rare at all, especially when we watched the same play at second base multiple times.
Here?
The MOST RAREST?! Ah, our wonderful education system at work!
😂
That's because we have the most smartest posters.
Thanks - saved me posting about it.
4:55....not including Kevin Mitchell's amazing barehanded catch in this video would've been a crime. Thank you.
5:27 cool

Can't say for sure, but it might be whether a camera could see and verify the catch. We have much more coverage than in CRT-TV days.

You should have just said most rare defensive plays. Most rarest makes you sound like you never went to school, these plays are a little rare.
¡Qué gran selección de jugadas! Fenomenal. Emociones puras!
I just wanted to complain about most rarest, but it's been well covered already 😂
Came here looking for the *Mostest* Rarest. Guess I'll have to settle for this.
Thanks
my Grammarly widget told me to fix the title (most rarest)
Thanks

"most rarest"? What?...Did you flunk middle school grammar? Shameful.....
Why no infield fly rule?
Whup. Time for an English lesson. It's "most rare" or "rarest". What you wrote here is redundant.

Alternate universe: The As second baseman is 3 inches taller and doesn't make it on this highlight reel.

"Most rarest"?!

Umpires con vista privilegiada no necesitan VAR para decidir en fracción d segundos. Hacen del beisbol el REY D LOS DEPORTES.
Kevin Mitchell is the grandfather of the barehanded catch, (as far as fly balls are concerned).
Some of you missed your calling at being an English teacher.
why do baseball commentators/fans cream over even the slowest bare hand catch?

Yes bro
this is very scare, my cat is sad
23:20 actually

Not sure why they have old footage in this video there is plenty of new video’s that can be played….
We’re those the actual LAA that mike trout is in
From my point of view, some of these plays are/were questionable.
"Most" is not necessary if it is already the "rarest".
Thanks
Thanks.
"Most rarest"? Did a child write this title?
most rarest?
What a shot. I love this
1:23 MLB has got to do something about the sliding mitt problem. Because that was just bad.
Please let the replays finish! It would add mere seconds to the video. Thanks.
This isnt rare good old fashioned baseball MVP possibly

To be fair to these baseball fans/commentators, when cricket players take a catch with 1 hand the commentators will go wild for that too.
