Josef Berg not being sponsored by Kastaplast is a crime. The dude is from Sweden with the last name Berg, match made in heaven
I agree. However he is sponsored by a private company that sells discs ;)
Lets go team Sweden, or should i say Team Borås since both Linus and Josef is from the same place^^
Was thinking the same. ”His name is Berg?! He better be bagging onel
Anyone know why they have the bullseye circle drawn in?
Stats
Feels SO good to see a Swede come and show a lot of skills, discgolf is booming here. Let’s go Berg!
NIKLAS ANTTILA FOR THE WIN. That guy really dont bother to stress in tough competition. Owns a winner mentality in such a young age
Thats true!!!
He really is the Paul McBeth of Finland. Watching him in a recent Finnnish Pro Tour tournament and no matter how great tee shot he threw or if the rare occurence of him making a mistake happened, he was ice cold: I'm here just to do my job. Let them emotions out after the final putt and sealing the win. His mental game is World Champ level already.
Jussi must have read some of the comments on round one, he is being much nicer to simon this round😂
I feel the same lol
I appreciate Jussi’s hands on approach to the game, he could just stay behind the scenes and sell discs but he does so much more than that, kudos 👏🏼
The awkwardness in the commentary booth when you’re boss is roasting your performance with you next to him. 😅
Nothing like a performance review with your boss.
Simon completely spacing on Jussi saying Josef is only 982 rated and repeating him 20 seconds later cracked me up so much.
16:50 I wonder if Simon is keeping his elbow lower ever since his elbow injury, so the disc comes out with more hyzer than he's used to with that body position. I remember him talking about getting a bit too much hyzer on one of the vlogs a long time ago (after the elbow injury). And maybe he is trying to throw flat with his wrist here subconsciosly to compensate, even though his body is in a hyzer position. I had that problem for a long time. It results in nose up hyzers instead. Might explain why his hole 1 tee-shots both faded out too much.
“Sometimes you don’t have it. But, obviously, you need to get it” - Jussi
Hole 4, Simon putting. My 10 year old that loves Simon got really upset that he was missing his putts. Like really upset, crying upset. Damn Simon. We love you though Simon!

Jussi loving his "ballseye" hits.. :D
Hahaha! LMAO
Curious, no overall scoreboard or something to see how everyone else is doing? Would love to know the field and how close they are etc :) Thanks for the wonderful coverage and excellent commentary!
They have them at the end of the back 9's, but yeah it'd be cool to get the middle of the round comparison
I have tried disc golf a few times over the years and when covid restrictions came last spring I felt the timing was right to buy my first disc and try to learn this. Went directly from the store to one of the local tracks. By the practice-baskets there was I guy who seemed to know how to throw so asked for some newbie-advise. He happily showed and explained the basics, friendly dude.
Now, watching this, I found out his name is Josef Berg and he absolutely knows how to throw a disc!!!
Watching in 360p because nothing else is available yet. That's when you know you're early.
Berg is my favourite...
...disc :D
2nd czech player.... 2nd czech player called jakub 😄.
Not the first time on SpinTV for Jakub Knápek either, he was on the 1st round feature card of the 2018 Konopište Open.
Lets go 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
Can we get a RIP for Simon Lizotte completely getting skipped over in the beginning greetings 🤣
Team Berg!! Hälsningar från Borås :)
Nikke Nostelija wants to have a chat with you
Marvin is very good but he aint 1050 good, I guess thats what a good player gets after playing a C tier a year XD
Yeah certainly some rating inflations going on there. Comparing these players to the top people on the U.S. tour, they seem to be far worse at putting and less disc control in general. But yeah no way he is on the same level as Ricky, Paul, Eagle and Calvin. Those 4 would absolutely shred out at the Europe course, and one of them would certainly win the tournament.
@@Spartacus11 these aren’t the top guys though. You will see the top guys in final round
@@teukka623 For sure, but 2 out of 4 of them are in the final round. And Simon is a strong player of course, just a bit inconsistent as of late due to his injuries and such. But regardless, 1050 is certainly highly inflated as there’s only a few 1050’s in the U.S and those are the guys winning most tournaments and finishing top 5 consistently. I don’t think anyone from Europe would be finishing in the top 5 or even top 10 consistently on the US pro tour. But there’s certainly a lot of young talent in Europe, so perhaps in a couple years things will turn around. Toivottavasti pääsis Suomalaista pelaajaa kattomaan täällä Jenkeissä joskus, Maple Hill reilu puolen tunnin päässä asunnolta & 3 viikon päästä turnausta sinne seuraamaan 👍🏻
I enjoyed the commentary between Simon and Jussi again. Very well done guys!
Jussi butchering swedish names
Want Simon to win so bad but I guess the environment is different and he feels pressure to be great causing him to play worse, missing easy putts he makes normally
Simon getting crafty with that blind, kneeling, behind the back roller on Hole 2. Very nice.
I wonder why Simon doesn’t switch to his Sky God 3 or the new C-Line MD3 on hole #1?….
Maybe next round touch more understable safe play, bcose dz.
You two are a pleasure to listen to. Jussi is a throwback Man's Man. Very direct and honest. Doesn't let people off the hook for mistakes/poor execution like so many commentators here in the US. We need more Jussi on these vids.
after hole 1 you already know Anttila is coming from behind and winning it all.
Kom igen Josef!!!
Tons of stinging nettles in Portland, OR courses. Little trick: find a fern and rub the underside of it on the areas you were hit with nettles; goes away in minutes.
Not a solid tournament for Simon. Hope he can get it together.
The tournament hasn't ended yet..
@@MmMm-lk9xb He is 11 back . So not his best performance.
I'm suprised Simon didn't just get up and leave with Jussi non stop picking on him.
Yeah, it was almost too hard to listen, I'm sure Simon felt bad already.
Jussi has been his boss, sponsorship-wise, since 2012 so I guess he's pretty much used to how he is by now.
Making good discs doesn't mean that you have to be good at everything, right?
Nice video tank's for sharing
Is there a FPO coverage?
ruclips.net/channel/UCJJzKH19F0C88KRxCL1bD-w
I love how the brand new discmania discs advertise "great durabiity" - you dont know that yet!
you just started the new manufacturing process!
"probably great durability" or "likely great durability" more accurate
I think Simon could greatly benefit from a sponsorship change. Jussi is clearly terrible at building confidence in his players. The extra criticism and comparison to Eagle is not helpful, and it’s hard to perform when you hear your boss’s critiques in the back of your mind all the time.
Berg hole 9
Jussi has to lay off Simon, He just adds stress to his game when he constantly compares him to the other players.
Why do you guys have such a poor video quality? 🤔 I mean it doesn't seem to be as sharp as it should have been
Funny how when someone is playing poorly on a card it can get kinda contagious.
42:11 what a shot, just beautiful to watch the disc glide forever :)
This is a tough round to watch. No one is playing well.
Tenzel was on fire! So many nice shots! 😁
Heja josef! Svin grym! 🤘🏼😎
Im sure for the last round the finns are here
No FPO coverage?
ruclips.net/channel/UCJJzKH19F0C88KRxCL1bD-w
Anyone else wonder why no one threw a forehand of the tee on hole 1?
Why is the quality of the video changing though I got it on 1080?
Some wrong with the rendering? Thanks for the production and work still.
If you can't handle the truth, don't talk with Jussi. Tough boss on Simon ("That was terrible.") and a great course designer.
I respectfully disagree Simon, hole 4, 2 putt. it can be explained, and it’s often where the answers to the toughest questions are. Would’ve really loved some insight from you there.
Where’s evelina
Disc tracking and aerial shots would be nice. Now it's mostly landscape shots since you can't see the disc, at least on phone screens.
Beautiful course!!! I have family on my mother's side from that area and hope to visit there in my lifetime.
Why isn't anyone throwing forehand on hole 1????
“I was filming you” Simon - “thank you”
44m3a lmao I'm like a pro then it takes me the front 8 or 9 to warm up too wow guys that's pro status you heard it here jk Simon hope the back 9 gives more love to ya
Simon thinks he should ace every par three.
I need an md5 more than I need air to breathe right now. I would buy 10 md5's and fd3's if I could since they are now out of my bag because can't afford to lose anymore but now I can't practice with them as much and they are so dependable for their purposes.
I use the same disc as Josef for upshots, gray exo Tactic. I just throw it about 150 feet shorter lol
Josef! Kötta!
Thank you for the coverage peeps! Such an iconic course!
Is it me or do these European fellows love the left side chains?
Great course and commentary thank you!
what an *original* discmania commercial..
Missä Seppo paju
Simon, you got to work on your mental game....it is all about body language...stay positive, stay in the game, stop shaking your head....also, you are super hectic....calm down, stop ripping, relax.
Why is the resolution so bad?
BAM!! TY for the coverage!
Thanks for the coverage
Lets Go Marvin
If only Simon knew he was going to do the same thing on hole 1 in the third round
Are the lead and chase cards being filmed and if so where can they be watched?

Awww yisssss!

Jussi and Simon together on commentary is pretty amazing
Surprised to not see any players go with the sidearm route on hole 1. Seems like hanging it out over OB and letting it hyzer back in is a safe way to avoid landing OB and less likely to get stuck under the trees.
Forehand on 1 is not uncommon but you have to tow it almost whole path over O.B and also landing area feels very small on right side. My estimate is that about 20 % players take forehand on 1st.
only 360p :(
Wait for it…
@@TheSpinTVcom thanks for letting me know :)
Simon is too comfortable at discmania he needs a new sponsor to get to the next level. He’s got the skills to be world champ a few times over
🤣🤣🤣🤣
At this point he probably doesn’t have a chance tbh. He feels the need to go for ”flashy” shots way too much and his putting has been lacking for quite a while. Now when he has elbow issues I dunno if he can go toe-to-toe with the top guys. He might have put too much attention into the vlog as well
Why they use feets in commentary? Its good to display both meters and feets.
Since sadly Innova has decided to make the USDGC pay per view only, many of us Americans won't be watching even though virtually every top player is American. At least it has been fun to see some different players here during the European championship, and such a beautiful course in Czechia !
Is it typical in Europe to cut the grass once a year?
Hold 1 is a putter turn over shot .. no one played that , very disappointing .. missing Paul in the game .. he would have showed how to play this hole
You can watch him playing that hole from 2018 Konopiste Open round one (mindrange hyzer, straight to OB) ;)
also first
Niklas Anttila threw -10 second round why he isnt here
first
I mean good grief Simon...just freaking throw it over into the trees on hole 1 and take a par!! 2nd straight day is just uncalled for from a pro...
Is Simon past his prime already?
