- This is a brief video of removing the complete dashboard of a Acura RSX 02-06. Both 02-04 and 05-06 any model dashboard are interchangeable. Just need to use the same year dash harness.

Yep, thats what I remember when pulling a rsx dash at pick n pull a few years ago. There were what seemed like a million wiring connectors to manage.

it took me 8 hrs to do black interior and dash swap the most annoying thing is disconnecting everything and the steering column part its good to label all screws in zippy bags
I like your method of not disassembling the steering wheel & column before removing the dash. The service manual has you do that, but I'm going to try your method and leave it attached. Thanks!
Not sure how on earth you got the dash off with steering column on. I gave up and removed it.

Just imagine putting everything back together only to find out that you forgot to plug one of those connectors back in

Happens all the time you air on the side of caution after a few times and tie pink tag thats hi vis so you don’t forget or write down the order everything goes off and reverse to install

Hey dude, I'm doing this, I unbolted everything like you said, unhooked the wires, and I'm the point where you can rock the dash back and forth, BUT IT WONT COME OUT! What did you do to get it to lean forward onto the seat?
Hyrum Beck it should come off after all those bolt. Check steering and wires
Ended up being A pillar plastics where holding it in. Popped them out, and it wiggled free

Hi, i know this video was from a while ago but i just bought a full black interior for my white rsx, i just need to switch over the black dash but it was from a canadian model rsx, will it fit on my us rsx?
Do u know weather a base model dash will connect the harness of a type s n vice versa
also important to note the base model and the s-model harness' are not interchangeable. so...same year and model? do you mean that the 02 harness wont fit a 2003?
The 02-04 harness vs 05-06 harness. Not interchangeable
What screws do I need to remove to take the skeleton off?

Did you have to yank really hard for the dash to come off? Coz I took off all of 7 bolts but the dash wont come off

So 02-06 is not plug and play? I have an 05 and putting in an 02 dash. Would I have to switch anything over?
The wiring harness needs to be from your car. If you have a 2002 RSX but are putting in a 2005 dashboard in, you need to use your 2002 harness.
isn’t it easier to take off the shell ?
It is harder to take off shell. I have tried it
Harder cause there’s like 3 screws you can barely get to taking the shell off instead of whole dash

Type s,base or type r doesn’t determine what color your interior is the color of your car does all white rsx’s come with tan interior only thing type r has is a different steering wheel and seats
sorry your confusing usdm with jdm. There is no such things as type s in japan. ;)
There is a Type s in Japan it is base model
Bryant Garibay yes I know but the color code of your car is what determines your interior color not the model you have have a type s or base with leather interior or type r’s can have blue or red or even black interior
Where your car is manufactured has to do with the color...... Canada = black interior.
