Cahi Concentrate Description from Trader Joe’s website: Full of warm, fragrant spices and nose-tingling ginger, nothing perks up a morning or slows the pace of a hectic afternoon like a spiced chai latte. But the number of ingredients required to create such a concoction from scratch can be daunting. Enter Trader Joe's Spiced Chai Black Tea Concentrate, the next evolution in our concentrated, caffeinated, bottled beverage set (see TJ's Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate, Coconut Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate, etc.).
Trader Joe's Spiced Chai Black Tea Concentrate is brewed with filtered water and steeped in small batches to fully develop its characteristic flavors-namely, allspice, black pepper, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, and ginger. As chai blends can vary depending on who's doing the blending, we've specifically chosen to highlight ginger in our Black Tea Concentrate. This robust rundown of redolent spices is combined with sugar to create the ideal base for a perfectly perfumed, satisfyingly sweet, and altogether tasty Spiced Chai latte.

TJ's has some good, reasonably priced teas and coffee beans. However, blending your own Indian and Ethiopian chai spices is very easy. There were some great traditional recipes online. Nothing beats their richness.
Normally, I don't like any type of milk in tea and just use granulated white cane sugar. However, a bit of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk in strongly brewed chai is delicious.
Major boo-hoo. Harney's no longer sells wonderful Ambessa "Safari Breakfast" tea. They had tins of 20 silk sachets for $9.00. Last week, no-name online shops were selling the same thing for $40.00 to $64.00 with no guarantees of freshness!
Apparently, the Ambessa tea collection by Ethiopian Marcus Samuelsson is history. I have 1 tin each of his other 3 blends left. Also a 4-ounce tin of Harney's loose leaf "Kenya Milima", the only other African tea in their regular inventory. That's expensive now too. I'll have to check through the huge Upton Teas catalog to see what they might have from Africa because African black teas have become my favorites.

Aw, that’s one of the things I think about sometimes is what if this tea I really like becomes unavailable, which causes me to buy more of it sometimes. I’ve never had a latte with condensed milk but I have seen cans of that in stores.
And yea Trader Joe’s does have some nice teas. That’s such a neat store. Not sure if I’ve had an Ethiopian chai before, that’s interesting. I’ve definitely noticed Harney & Sons running out of tea sometimes. I’m guessing they don’t have a large quantity of it at a time and/or the demand is really high.

@@TeaReviewinTwo Harney teas always sell out fast despite their high prices. Arguably, they're the best ones in North America. They're also bestsellers worldwide, including Asia.

I’m kind of picky with the tea and tea blends I get and review so I tend to like either all or some aspect of the tea. However I have definitely had some I didn’t care for, but think I only reviewed a few of them.
