I actually clicked on this to see if you were an affiliate, therefore making the review less legitimate (in my mind). So this was SO helpful! I've considered B school since I just started my coaching business and don't really know what I am doing.

I hear ya and it’s sad that so many affiliates have made it all seem like hype since there really is good stuff in there for the right people. If you’re newer I think it could be really great for you, but you might find you still need some next level stuff after implementing it all. Good luck to you!

I've been curious about this course for years and think Marie Forleo is great. Thank you for an honest review! I am currently enrolled in Gillian Perkins' Startup Society program. There is an abundance of information in it, geared towards the same audience, entrepreneurs just starting out or wanting to improve certain areas. I've also gone through John Assaraf's Neurogym program. The bonuses and videos in there are a wealth of information. I also got a glimpse at Brendon Burchard's program from a friend and if you can afford it, it's Amazing!

B-school grad 2016. Only now building anything since taking a college class taught by another B-school grad. She's helped fill the gaps I found for myself. I plan on going through it again this year if my studies allow.

Excited for you! Yes I printed it all out but it’s really a matter of what you like. I do think she made the recommendation, but I did it because I like to limit my time looking into a screen. Plus there is something to be said about having old fashion pen to paper to slow your brain down and allow answers to surface. Are you a paper or digital person?
Tara Wagner Coaching completely agree! I’m definitely old fashion and love writing everything down with a pen and paper and just love anything stationary haha. The only reason I was considering digital was less to carry around and for less waste.

I've transitioned from one on one energy healing sessions with clients and teaching a quantum spoon bending class in the northeast, to now online via a recorded class video for purchase and also live webinars (Im still teaching in person a little bit nationally as well). I can empower and reach more people with this class online (it also includes energy healing exercises and working with energy). So my real desire to connect with B School is to get my message and video class for purchase out there to more people - the right audience. I have a RUclips channel with about 1,000 Subscribers, and also have Facebook, FB Business, Instagram and group email list all totaling about 2,400. What would you suggest? Do you feel B School will assist in marketing to a larger audience? Thank you so much! *Ariana*
Ariana Bahret actually I think you’d LOVE it. It’s really ideal for people in your position. Look for an affiliate that teaches your fav form of advertising or whatever you know you need (for example if you know you wanna put extra emphasis on FB ads, social media marketing, funnels etc) and it’ll augment perfectly! But I think the foundations in B-School are gonna really help you nail it the transition from offline to scaling online. I’m excited for you!

I hear you! I had my own "come to Jesus" 😂 moment a few years ago when I realized it was no longer about what I personally wanted, but about putting my own desires away in order to show up to serve and scale my work to reach more women. I wasn't serving others because I was busy focused on my own needs (time freedom, travel, etc). Since having that loving little smackdown from the universe, I've since come to realize that I can do both, but both in their best seasons. Right now is a season to SCALE. I'm excited for you and can't wait to see what you do!
I really appreciated this review, Tara, it was really helpful! I'm at the very beginning of figuring out an online business and have been working through some of Amy Porterfield's materials, but I am really feeling the need for something intensive. Being new to all of this I was intrigued by your mention of purchasing through an affiliate and having the benefit of a freebie or bonus from the affiliate. Do you know of any way to search B School affiliates so that I might be able to identify one that would be the best benefit for me?
Hmm not sure. That would be a good resource for someone to create. My best suggestion would be google or to ask in your fav FB groups!
Thank you for this video. I've been going back and forth whether to sign up for B-School and this confirmed my decision. I'd rather take a course on advancing my online marketing skills such as learning about facebook ads, retargeting ads and other online marketing strategies. If you have any suggestions for online courses related to this I would love to hear about it!

@@TaraWagner Yes, please review DCA! Does it teach how to build a membership site as well? I don't think I'll do b school - I am more interested in launching a course/potentially a membership site so I'd rather take something more specific. If I do b school, it will be more to experience the course (since I want to sell a course someday) as research. If you've taken any other courses that you loved, would love to see a review of those too!
Well I did her Courses That Convert and Webinars That Convert, and actually preferred those. I think CTC was more helpful in creating my (upcoming! early April!) course than DCA. I might actually put some thoughts together and review it deeper though! Any other specifics you’d love covered?
@@TaraWagner I didn't even know she had other courses! Has she rolled these into DCA? Or will DCA be the only option going forward. If she's still running the others, a comparison would be really helpful - who you think the ideal student is for each course, how do you receive the content (drip or all at once), cost, etc.. I also personally wonder if it's better to take a course when you have a course idea or is it ok to take if you know you want to launch a course someday but haven't completely clarified the topic yet...
@@TaraWagner Also are there any other great courses you have taken? I think many people go through this phase of finding coaches/courses and get burned (I have). So if there are other great courses you've taken, maybe a video summary of all of them and if you had limited funds, which 1-2 would you take. I signed up for B-School last year and am doing it again this year. I would definitely recommend signing up via an affiliate because of the bonuses. I signed up through Amy Porterfield, and while I am a huge fan , it wasn’t the right fit for my type of biz. So I do recommend doing your research first to ensure you are getting the extra help and info you need.

This is not for someone who wants to learn about the technical side of building an online course or doing FB ads. But I agree it's a great course and definitely worth an investment if you're willing to put the work needed. You'll learn A LOT!

Yay, an honest review! I'm doubting for YEARS to join... first because it was a financial stretch, now because I've figured out a lot myself. I already have a full-time online business and extensive courses and funnels set up... but looking to grow this to a next level. Also I want to start teaching others how to build a business like I have. Would it make sense for me to join? Would probably go through Amy Porterfield or Laura Belgray.
Hmm it sounds like it might be a bit basic for where you’re at, however how solid do you feel on your foundations?
Tara Wagner Coaching depends on what you’re referring to 😊. I feel solid, but am open to learn and also interested in pivoting my business a bit in the near future.
I would imagine it could go either way for you then. It def is foundational stuff and I do find it deepens that a lot more than most anticipate and in ways that make a huge difference for a lot of peeps but if you’re good there it could also be a waste of time instead of deepening key skills like ads or copywriting for your phase of biz. I’d comb thru the sales page in depth when it’s about to launch and then go with your gut.

I'm thinking of taking Jenny Shih's affiliate offer, it's really comprehensive and designed to help you implement what you learn in b-school as well as get more in depth about the strategies to make your business grow. I'm just starting out and have not run a successful business before so B-School and Jenny's bonus seem perfect for me.

I bought B-School and I thought a lot of the info was common sense and really basic - you could google most of the content. I honestly don't think it was for me, but I'm sure that it is amazing for some people.
I think these days just about everything is google-able! The course is really good for people who don’t realize what they need to google. 😂 Out of curiosity, how long have you been in biz? What inspired you to give it a try?

@@TaraWagner No I did not. To be honest, I got annoyed with the pushy marketing Marie Forleo practices. She seems like a lovely person but when the B-school deadline approaches, her emails become quite irritating. And that makes me wonder if thats what she teaches at B-school...Hope not!
Kati Reijonen it is a LOT especially if you’re a person without an inbox of 28559339503 emails and actually stay caught up. I think she sends so many for all the people who either need them to help them decide OR for people with a messy inbox who don’t see them all. 😂 It’s a helpful strategy for many but def not gonna make everyone happy!
@@TaraWagner Actually, I am wondering this because it seems her strategy works...she is very successful. And I am not : ) But I do not WANT to overwhelm folks like that. I love Yoga Adriene! She posts a free yoga video every week and doesnt market anything. If you want to buy something from her, you must find it. I love her!

This was an amazing review! I took it in 2015. Sad to see the community disbanded after all the craziness last year. Genuinely was the primary selling point of the course.

There is still a FB group for the live group I believe (but it closes after the session is over).
Is there a program you would recommend that has more engagement with the student or collaboration? I don't really want to do private coaching because I want to learn the structured and streamlining materials from programs like these. Thanks for any direction you can point me.

I am from Europe. Does this program give you acces to enter in the USA market? Does this program goach you in personal or just upload video?
Hi! It has video trainings, a FB group for Qs, and semi-regular coaching calls as well as Q&A under each training that all get answered, but nothing in person. I'm not sure I understand your Q about giving access to enter the US market though - could you explain more of what you're looking for?
Is it a good program for someone outside of the USA? Or is it very USA based (law/etc.)
Angelina ooooh great question! Hmm, I never thought about it so let me think out loud here for a sec. 😆 I know there are tons of non-US students every year. I know it doesn’t go into laws, taxes etc so you’re safe there. It really covers principles that apply to all businesses (how to know and find your own unique audience, how to attract them, etc), so I think it could def still be a good fit. There might be things you get to tweak based on cultural differences, but I’d bet you’ll find a sub-group within the community from your country that can help you brainstorm too. Where are you from?
This has helped clarify whether or not to go ahead. I m in business online for nearly 5 years so I don’t think this is for me. I think I will go for email marketing and Instagram courses specific to where I need to build.

I really enjoyed The Copy Cure. It’s a great intro course for copywriting. I’ve heard good things about Tarzan Kaye’s copywriting course too but haven’t taken it myself.

I do because it teaches more principles than tactics. Principles are based on humans and not just cultures.

B-School was worth it. Amy Porterfield’s courses were worth it. A few other super niche ones.

You mean in her branding photos or videos? The content is pretty timeless. There is actually little need for update when you’re teaching foundations.
Lol, I don't know why I thought that it was a new course every year.
There are new aspects, like the office hours calls and FB group! But the core content gets updated only as needed.

I personally thought this course isn’t that great. My friend showed the course to me! It’s not worth the money ! It’s just simple, boring and it feels like another scam ! I was very disappointed with Marie to be honest ! On top of that she is in to mlms!

Well you’re talking to someone who is a) in an MLM and b) pro good mlms so you’ve lost me there. 😂 I also don’t think it’s quite fair to judge a course you’ve only seen and not did yourself. The goodness of any course comes out when you actually implement the steps. While she’s certainly not for everyone and her stuff certainly is not perfect (an impossible standard for anyone) your criticisms honestly seem more biased and emotional than not. Is there something that makes you dislike her personally?
@@TaraWagner I used to love her but she is giving me a scam vibe now especially after her book and her course! Iread her book it’s the same as her videos.
I still like her. Atleast she is better than Rachel Hollis who is the biggest manipulator who gaslighted her own audience for the last 3 years!!!!
Most gurus and motivational speakers are huge scam! They sell dreams and motivations , they are not helping people. I have talked to few tony robbins student! They have been scammed. One guy spent 20000 dollar for nothing ! Besides check out coffeezilla and you will get tons of information about fake gurus!
I am an anti mlm to be honest. I personally think it’s a predatory system. My goal is to make aware how predatory the system is.
Check out illuminaughti, antibot, tiana liss, Savannah Marie educating people how predatory the business is.
I very well know you would disagree but hope one day you understand how disgusting & predatory the business system is.
They prey on vulnerable people & scam people. Also watch Netflix documentary unwell
I’m well aware of all these things. They show one side of things - the disgruntled side. Some of it’s based on real complaints. Not everyone is doing it well. Same goes for every industry. But until you research the other side you’re not fully educated. I don’t know a business, a leader, a “guru”, a political party, an industry that is without fault. I don’t know a single course, book, movie, seminar etc that doesn’t have negative reviews. But I do know I’ve not been scammed by any of the things you just listed. In fact I and countless others I know have been incredibly blessed by their work. So perhaps what you’re focusing on is the disgruntled reviewers? They are unavoidable. I hope you’ll come to see it’s not so black and white though. There’s a lot more complex grey areas to everything you’re mentioning.
