      Blinding gas is amazing.
      Gas grenades good.
Gas armor is... eh? Easier to stay away from gas than fire, since the sprayer doesn't cloud things up.

There is a major issue that comes from trying to push for a low-damage, crowd-control-centric weapon system in a horde-shooter that Warframe players are keenly aware of.
"Death is the best form of crowd control."
In a game where my objective is, "Complete my tasks and kill anything that aggresses me as quickly as possible" - why take something that is less powerful and less effective at getting rid of my problem permanently? I love the orbital gas strike, I take it on every bug mission, but the war bond weapons are not worth it.
*Support weapon:* Why take it over the flamethrower? It handles the same, and the flamethrower kills everything much, much faster.
*Guard Dog:* Extremely niche, good for providing cover against hunters or things that get close quickly, but the other two guard dogs will just kill things outright. Again, death being the permanent crowd control vs temporary.
*Gas Grenade:* Why use this over the incindiary grenade? Again, same concept. Why crowd control when I can just kill? Or why take it over thermites that can now one-shot chargers and bile titans? Taking it over the flashbang is also a hard sell because flash + OPS = dead charger/impaler/hulk with almost 100% success rate.

This guard dog fits my hunter issues better as a arc diver.
Hunters relentlessly charging me because i'm 'reloading/empty'. And getting inside the targeting range of my weapons with jumps.
It gets the hunters and pouncers off me, body blocking and fighting other leapers.
letting me escape or shoot them organically.
Just expect a armor pen huff to 3 for tge sterlizer. feels like a armor pen rating issue with the sterlizer dot( since gas only lost durability damage).

I think the intention of the gas is for players to take on more of a support role in their play. You hose down bug hordes with the gas/toss in gas grenades to keep enemies off your team's ass, giving people time to DPS and toss stratagems. I honestly like that approach to gas, it means it's not just green fire.

The gas weapons niche is in dealing with numerous problematic enemy types such as chargers, or high density scenarios where you're not in a position to clear it efficiently. Having hive guards, chargers and commanders turn on their own, even hunters, racks up a lot of kills and relieves pressure on you, to better reset and assess. The gas is great, its just not going to be for everyone. It will do what its meant to do, and do it very well. Geological survey and hivenuke missions will be much easier with one person using a gas loadout. You'll never really be in a position where you'll be overwhelmed.

Personally I think all the "% resist" armors need a secondary passive. They're good, but they're purely situational and literally do nothing most of the time. Even with the resistance, since it's not 100% or even 95%, I'm still gonna want to avoid those damage types when possible. Even just weaker versions of existing passives would be good. Like +1 grenade on fire resistant armor for example. The resistances are good, for sure. Like the difference is VERY noticeable when you accidentally light yourself on fire, but it's... boring as hell and, like I said, only provides value for brief moments of time and does nothing the rest of the time. It's also just a stark contrast to how almost every other armor has two passives. "+2 grenades and reduced crouching recoil" "radar pings and better stealth" "throwing range and limb health" The only other exceptions are the armors that just have +50 armor, but that's the passive of the starter armor set, and just happens to be shared by a few others so that's fine.
OK I guess the arc armor IS 95% so MAYBE that one can be left alone since it's so significant, though I'd still prefer it get something since arc damage is the rarest type in the game and literally no enemies currently have it. Hell no enemies don't have gas either, so that one DEFINITELY needs something.

The thing about gas effects now (Main a gas strike for bug breaches as a solo) is that the confusion it causes enemies has them randomly attacking, moving in random directions and even potentially attacking each other. So while I can't say the effectiveness of the sprayer itself since it has to make contact directly, I think that the grenades would be be good for escape or causing a cluster of enemies to just start waling on each other. As a solo diver, incendiary impacts against bugs are a practically a must have for area denial (and kills), but depending on how enemies are grouped up the grenade could be really useful as a throw and forget.
Kills aren't everything, sometimes you just want to tie something up but you get damage rather than just a stun effect that the stun grenade has. The sprayer I can certainly see as far more situational, but still potentially useful depending on what weapons and other strats you're rocking. Spray down a group, incendiary grenade into them with an almost 100% no survivors situation, (or whatever grenade of your choice) since they move more by attacking than walking.
Confusing a charger (Or a behemoth would be extra beneficial) can let you get around to blast it's butt off which is far easier to do and very damaging. (Stalwart as an example can take it out and shortly bleed it out in less than one belt It has the same damage as the Liberator, so take that as you will.) Also, think of bile spewers throwing up on anything nearby that isn't you. Just think about that one for a second...

With the gas being able to crowd control, it would, on paper, be better as the enemies get tougher/stronger enemies as they can just kill each other. However, most enemies once confused seem to just tend to keep running in your last known location which makes it really difficult to have them actually hit each other. Like you said, it is just better at the moment to just throw more damage or throw a stun grenade if you really need a crowd control weapon.

The anti tank mines are absolutely godly. When they launch, they have a huge spread which is needed because of the explosion radius. Smaller bugs can set them off but one explosion can kill a massive number while also one shotting almost every big bug that comes into contact, two tops. Tower defense missions you want to be careful that they aren’t close to the door because they will destroy that with one explosion as well.

The Sterilizer specifically should apply the same debuff corrosive rain does and lower the armor of anything it hits.
That would make it so a Sterilizer could shoot a Hulk and teammates with medium pen Primaries or Supports (Lib-pen, Adjudicator, MG-43, Grenade Launcher) could take down a hulk.
Or in situations agains a Annihilator tank or Turret tower, a Sterilizer could spray it and a nearby teammate with Light AP guns could take it out with them (Liberator, stalwart, Las-scythe/dagger, Tenderizer, most shotguns)

Each time you throw down a flag, 4 bug breaches appear spawning even several heavies at the same time and if you manage to get through them, 4 more would open up. So, crowd control right now is very necessary because they've made it so lol And the thing about the Steriliser is that when you use it on a pack, you strafe sideways and spray... they usually start swiping blindly forward once you start

It does confuse the enemies very quickly, which then appear to attack the closest target. The confused enemies are very easy to pick, especially with a friend or some high fire rate Primary.
It seemed to pair extremely good with the Inciendiary Breaker. Spray a burst of Gas, switch and Spray a Burst of flaming bullets. You can do that a few times per mag.
Warriors and Hunters didn't really get to me anymore, as long as I kept a certain distance and spewers didn't directly aim at me.

I LOVE the new patch, but my biggest issue so far would be ✨Chargers.✨My heck are they a problem. It used to be that if you let yourself get stuck in a bad spot you’d get plastered against a rock by them and leave a messy decoration for future Helldivers. Sure, that makes sense to me. But right now if a Charger barely grazes your lingering thoughts that just didn’t quite disperse from its path in time, your physical body is propelled to a new plane of existence while your soul simply ceases to exist. Pair that with the issue of elites not making noise and it often feels like I’m in a horror movie, constantly glancing over my shoulder in fear of the dreaded tippy-toeing tank.
Obviously it’s because they directly buffed the damage that Chargers deal, but pair that with the increased body damage to divers (which I think should be reverted back to how it was) and we have our recipe for instant, remorseless deletion.

I want to give my 2 cents on the guard dog "dog breath" rover. *I think it is worse than the 2 other rovers*
This is the first guard dog with a weapon that essentially requires melee range to apply its damage to targets. So getting it to trigger on enemies requires you to get rather close to enemies, and once the bot focuses on an enemy, it will *stick* to that enemy, far more than it will to you, making this stratagem a very strange, inefficient and unnecessary stratagem.
I have been reading alot of comments and posts about how many kills players have been getting with gas strike stratagem and charging in with the sterile sterilizer and of course the gas resistance armour, but in game, all of that, can be replaced with 1 stratagem - the fire orbital barrage stratagem. Sure it is a 4min cd stratagem, but most of the instances when you're using a gas strike and charging in, is during breaches, and fire barrage shuts down breaches better than anything I have seen in this game so far. Even running teslas to complement gas strikes felt unnecessary. I'd much rather rock the tesla alone and bring the fire barrage for breach lockdowns.

Instead, if they want to introduce more Stratagems in a warbond instead of making us have to fight or liberate or kill for it, make that warbond like the Helldivers Assemble warbond is, accessible to everyone, and requires lots of MEDALS to gain your way up. Super dives used to be worth 50+ war score points before this patch, they’re currently worth 15…. We’re definitely failing this order because arrowhead can’t let a good thing be a good thing

My only real issue with this update and war bond lies in the amount of damage dealt to the helldiver. It kind of feels like with the amount of damage that you take you might as well just be naked. Even the smallest enemies can breathe on you and you have to heal because they did half damage to you. I had to switch to Heavy Armor and use the laser guard dog which I never use. Even the heavy armor feels like a gift wrapped in tissue paper provides more protection

I think they should add some features in the helmets. Like zoom option. Infrared. Night vision. Thermal. Target locking enemies. How does that sound?

Next warbond should include exploding pagers and walkie talkies you can place and remotely activate

They should pair the gas stream with flamethrowers. The gas should be able to ignite and cause massive fire damage if hit with a flame. Would be cool to drench enemies with the gas stream then hit them with a crisper or other flame weapon. Would make for a nice team work opportunity as well

Gas works more like a strategic method of gaining the upper hand against enemies. Run Dog breath to confuse enemies, hoes them down with the flamethrower.

It's not the Warbond that sucks. It's the fact that they did the same as with the Fire Warbond again.
They nerfed the gas by turning it into something that sounded neat to them on paper but in practice was completely unnecessary.
So effectively. It's Fire Warbond all over again.
    They just can't help themselves.

if they keep the gas then it would just powercreep the new flamer duh gas always does more damage than fire it's just that we have so many more ways to use fire while we only have 1 way to used gas before

With the rework to gas and the new war being pretty weak, it makes me think the devs are going to go right back to nerfing.
The new update was nice, but i was Expecting every weapon to get at least one buff.

People have a real problem with the strategy: concentrated fire.
People are trying to liberate way too many different planets. Claorell and Trandor are both currently at 0.5% decay. Those are the only planets that should be attacked right now.

I love it when numbers speak so loudly! So much for all those people claiming "game is dead"
