Primary - Spray and Pray Secondary - Verdict Grenade - thermite Armor - fortified commando armor Stratagems - heavy machine gun, commando, eagle strafing run, and Orbital gas strike Wish you many victories with this loadout my man!!!
The game was too glitchy was I the only one? Did no one else have problems aiming down sights after redeployment? Or being stuck in drop pods that don't hit the ground and float above it? I can't be the only one right?
Glad you enjoyed. I deleted it. Just wanted the tenderizer to not suck. But they dropped old patch notes like it was a new addition when it wasnt changed. Im out guys.
They need to add a randomize option when choosing load out in the drop pod, on difficulty 7 and below, almost everything is viable, so its time to just have fun
My fun was ruined 2 games in man 😢 drop pods glitch first make teammate rage quit, then 2nd game it won't let me aim down sights. So I'm sorry but you have fun
People love to complain and there were a lot of bugs and bad balance issues but the game never lost its fun. I just had a limited set of weapons that were mission effective to use. Now I have more choices which is good but it's not like the game was ever bad.
@@MatthewGleedyeah, but the practices that were changing weapons and such WERE bad, and tone deaf, and so forth. There were/are legit issues and regardless of still having fun or not, it was driving people away. It’s exciting to see some coming back. For the record, I never left and still play almost every night with my wife and friends.
I saw one coming out the ground headshot it with the recoiless rifle and it sat back down before it could ever fully stand. Best bug moment I've had so far
We Are Back Baby!!!! What I love most is that I am not stuck in a box of "what works" on harder difficulties. But I look forward to a super hard mode to test the limits of a good squad with mics!
The EAT is now performing as advertised in the opening cinematic!!! (Correction it’s the recoiless rifle, Ty for the correction @xipheros, got a little excited when shooting bile titans in the face with one EAT with the new update.)
The recoiless rifle is so good now. It actually kills stuff and takes down drop ships. I'm using it every game now. To quote Marie Kondo, It Sparks Joy.
@@GoodBoyGoneDad the recoilless could already down dropships. I may have missed a nerf, I main QC now, but I started on RR and got quite good at downing dropships. I used to intercept every dropship until I ran out of ammo in eradication missions, dropping the first 6 dropships made the first few minutes really manageable without worrying about getting overrun or needing to maneuver.
I used to be able to solo Difficulty 10 consistently pre update. Now I can barely scrape through one mission. This is because I can finally use off meta weapons and still l have a chance. It truly feels like a skill issue and not a “I got fucked by 87 rockets in a row”. It is very fun.
@@OliTaylor I did notice that was a bit more difficult, but I didn't have too many issues. Just aimed low. Not having shots angled down also explains why it's harder to hit armored enemies low like the hive guards. Makes it a more situational gun for taking out waves from mid distance rather than being the best shotgun for up close and personal. Kinda cool.
@@RYZEN-4070-TI-SUPER-OC I used my queso canon and a couple of thermites to take down a factory strider in short order. Like I said... it's the Fire of God.
Meanwhile the fucking Plas-101 Purifier still feels like it shoots fucking Marshmellows no matter the charge. Like goddamnit why doesn't it work right?!?!?!?
The problem is that they're afraid to give more damage to the weapons. The weapon has 250 base damage, but the devastators have between 850-950 HP in total. This means that initially, it’s regular damage, but then each weapon gains or loses a different percentage of damage (durable damage) depending on whether you hit a weak point or not. Unfortunately, many weapons have these bonuses with very small values because each one has different values, which makes many of them feel terrible.
Give it a bit of time. They made a lot of positive great changes. I think more are coming. I think this was also a declaration of new directions. I mean the thermite does 3000 dmg. Spear does 4000. The "they are afraid to give weapons damage " argument falls flat now
What sucks is being back just means changes were reverted. Arrowhead literally wasted time and money to take steps back. If bug fixes, more content, and gameplay were at the forefront of their ideas from the start...this "fix" never would have been needed.
So true wasted all this time bcs devs were assholes for so long not listening to anyone bullying their players saying skill issue and when everyone fucked off now they finally decide to fix it but the game still has literally 0 meaningful progression
My favorite for the bugs is the arc blitzer, grenade pistol, guard dog rover, quasar cannon, and stun grenades with the medic armor. Gives you the option to get it close and focus on a bunch of chaff, while the rover helps get anyone trying to flank, grenade pistol deals with bug holes, quasar helps deal with heavy armor, and stun grenades get you out of sticky situations. Can stay in the fight a lot longer due to stims and no heavy reliance on ammo.
I used the arc blitzer for the first time yesterday and was surprised at how good it was. Personally I love the feel of having the Stalwart with it's firing rate turned up to 11 and mowing down hordes of bugs with it, but the blitzer was solid.
i love the blitzer! without the stun its fire rate feels too slow, but the stun really makes up for it. I'll have to try this loadout next time i play!
Fam. Me and my mates played last night for the first time in a couple months and we had a FUCKING BLAST! Even playing with randos, i saw SOOO much variety in loadouts now and its amazing. Everyone brings something different to the table which what the game should be.
Normally I'm in agreeance with all your takes Buzz, but in this case I'll play the devils advocate. I genuinely think the Hulk Bruisers, the Impalers, the Chargers and other elites all getting changes that allow them to one/two shot you are healthy for the state of the game. There are so many viable strategies for dealing with enemies of all types now, that we need the enemies that are supposed to be threatening to actually hit like a truck. Hell, the Arc Thrower stun now basically renders most enemies unable to act once it builds up. I don't want to win my games with 12 reinforces left etc. I still want that challenge of needing to play around cover, coordinating engagements with my teammates, incentivised to stick with the squad instead of groups running off solo. That only happens when the enemies that are supposed to be threats are actually threats. The bots had enough rockets, the laser is a nice change. The body getting broken arm/leg more frequently forces you to use your stims wisely in the moments you're not injured. Now we aren't hiding behind cover because we don't have a window to attack due to infinite rocket spam, we hide behind cover because we're in danger, and when we get that window we know that our weapons will at least be effective.
Um, yeah. Totally noticed the bots nailing the crap out of me since the patch. The gunships really seem to be tuned into this buff. I've never been killed more than now by them, even though they were supposedly "debuffed."
When General Brasch was hand building our newly issued equipment, he accidentally gave some Helldivers his personal stash of shields LOL The Brasch Stasch
Wait, are you telling me they’ve given an almost unbreakable shield to a guy who spends his time posing with his cape on our upgraded super-destroyer at our expense, but not to his Helldivers, who are the line between tyranny and freedom? What’s next? The guy has a Liberator hidden with a drum magazine?
I LOVE that comment. I know it was just a bug, but I love how it was worded. Someone’s bout to get yelled at for unauthorized delivery of gadget, and General Brasch would want those back.
Would be pretty awesome to get a random God-Tier Weapon / Support Strat from General Brasch's personal stash just randomly dropped into a personal game by hellpod. I'm sure there must be some other mistaken Stashes in rotation with SEAF ;-)
I almost exclusively wear light armor when fighting bots, very used to difficulty 6 and 7 on them. Yesterday I just felt like I was getting destroyed, crazy damage, packs of a dozen bots sneaking up on me without their ominous grinding chatter and murdering me (that one really frustrated me actually, you don't realize how much you rely on sound cues until they're gone), weird instant deaths from things I used to take before, and crazy accuracy. I brushed it off as a bad night but yeah I'm not the only one who noticed the difference I guess.
Was fighting bots yesterday with rando groups and we were getting mulched constantly. We all extracted but we left without super samples or finishing sub-objectives. They're a bit too oppressive atm
Yeah, their aim needs to be tweaked. It was annoying that bots that are all the way on the other side of the map seemed to be sniping us with basic rifles.
Yea same issue except on 10. It is actually rare for me to die but even with extra padding light armor it is instant death when the shield fails. The change is so dramatic I am considering just dropping down to one of the other light armors with even less health b/c if I am going to instant die I might as well use scout armor or something with a bonus then.
So fucking back, I was slapping everything with the HMG, and I mean everything, hulks, bile titans, chargers of all three variants. My goodness they have made Helldivers Fun Again!!!
I took a mental health day yesterday just to play with the new patch. Absolutely loved it. Felt like the start of the game all over again. Me and my regular squad had a blast. I'm glad that Arrowhead turned it around and got everyone 'diving again.
I hope they take away that increase to damage we take and i hope they remove lasers burning faster from the bots weapons because right now they are still impossible. The lasers shred us now that we take even more damage and if you happen to survive you are likely to catch on fire and die anyways. I hope they eventually learn to just buff things without nerfing other things to compensate. You take 50% less headshot damage!! but you also take 15% more damage from everything else... Can do bug helldives just fine but against bots on helldive my squad just spawns in and tries to spawn everything we can as fast as possible but spend the next few minutes just dying without being able to get our support items back and our stratagems on cooldown until we loose all respawns. Still ragdoll like crazy as well. Bots feel a bit harder to me now on higher difficulties. Easier on lower ones but now are harder than they were, imo.
Amazing update and I do agree with you with the damage because a single warrior should not be doing this much damage against my 200 armour rating heavy suit
I will say i was pleasantly surprised how well the new updated weapons feel. I will say the guard dog rover is even more deadly to Helldivers with it setting you on fire. Because of this i dont think i will be using this as often.
Yea, super quick PK from laz dog again. But I hate going against bugs without it keeping me from being swarmed. So I'm just gonna piss everyone off, I guess.
100% agree with the bot accuracy and more damage taken. I’ve been randomly killed across the map one shot by things like gunships and hulks. Bugs are a lot easier which is great (and higher levels are still challenging) but I think bots should still be nerfed a little more. Either damage or accuracy. Still a great update. Also currently using recoilless, orbital napalm, gas strike, and a flex spot (usually go back and forth between rail cannon and orbital Gatling) on bugs with cookout, grenade pistol, and incendiary impact. Light med armor so I can go fast and stim with the viper commando booster
I don't feel like they are that much harder. I feel like they are more balanced than the bugs with how many good weapons we have to fight them with. Eruptor is fantastic against bots.
Its not "challenging" just because their spawn rates are hot garbage trash. ALOT of people wont even touch bug planets purely because these chodes have no clue how to do spawn rates especially with bugs so its just constant flow of enemies at all times and 12 bugs all calling in breaches all at the same time. Its almost like frames become trash because they're using a 15+ year old top down engine, held together with spit, jizz and duct tape and then can't handle that much going on all at the same time....Just like their shield devs that spawn in so many at once their sounds actually squelch out the sound of their firing completely. You can make a challenging game with intelligent spawn rates that scale per player
I know right. Every time I complained, someone would say get gud. I could do it, I just found it no fun that way, so I stopped playing for a long time. I had fun last night for the first time in prolly a few months. If you want to increase the difficulty, simple, add a new one and increase the adds.
@@Commander_ZiN yep, those guys always assume everyone complaining is playing on lower difficulties. I live in on 9's, so by their definition I already got gud, i just didn't find the experience enjoyable to an extent. Now I'm actually laughing and doing banter with randoms while we're having FUN actually PLAYING the goddamn game.
@@Commander_ZiN Exactly. It wasn't like it wasn't doable. It was just unfun having to run around having to lead a stream of enemies behind you basically non-stop. We wanna Seek & Destroy not play Killing floor where you lead a stream of Zombies behind you and slowly pick them off until the round ends. We are elite Commandos. We are supposed to drop in, devastate any resistance they put up, do our objectives and get the hell outa there while they try to make you pay for your sins and not take the enemies for a walk.
The big fix here is game FLOW we no longer have to run around kicking rocks until our strats are off cooldown. We can use our base weapons for light enemies, support weapons for medium and heavy, and stratagems for super-heavy. It just feels RIGHT.
Had a lot of fun with this build yesterday; its effective against all enemies units from chaff to elite, and clearing side objects like shrieker nests and nests from a distance Build Name: State Puff Marshmallow Man Enemies: Terminids Primary: Eruptor Secondary: Laser pistol Grenade: Stun Armor: Heavy Medic Armor Stratagems: Orbital Napalm Barrage Orbital Laser Recoilless Rifle Gatling Sentry
I can just imagine you were that hell diver, just Sitting on his butt in the battlefield, hoping for hope. Then the update came in your like Reinforcements!
I played yesterday and after doing a line of missions the first thing someone said when they were leaving was "Furries are people too." before they dipped.
I started my first dive with someone that ended up being a friend I grouped with frequently. I was giddy the first time I played. Haven't played any games with this friend for a while...the other day they logged on and it was just like the first time I dove with him. Couldn't ask for more.
They either ninja-nerfed the orbital strike or the increased front armor of tanks somehow can shrug off front-angled orbital strikes now, perhaps unintentionally. I've religiously used OS's since launch (300+ hours) so I can definitely tell something's up.
They likely buffed the enemy. My favorite AR is worthless now more than ever. Deleted the game, im done with nerf divers. Ya'll enjoy the gaslight rollercoaster
Periodic drops of epic god-tier weapons or strats AND enemy modifiers for specific mission intervals would be a great way to keep the game fresh as well as test out alternative balance solutions in the future.
Eh, it has actually been buffed a lot since release and is still very powerful. I wouldnt mind if they left it that way so people can move on to other things
@@Steir12 you trade auto and a lot of ammo in spray and pray for fire dot. Incinderary should be played different. Shot burn repeat and be shot non stop only in dire situation. So it is great the way it is
So happy about these updates. I actually took time off to play some other stuff. Dropped in and took out a charger from the FRONT with the AC. Whaaaaa?
What do you know? Buffing multiple weapons has miraculously made me want to try out ALL of them and change up my load out from mission to mission, which is what AH wanted from the start. Crazy how that works!
Had fun testing stuff last night. Used something different every game. The thermite is my new favorite grenade. I killed tanks with those! I also noticed the elites being silent. Except for the stalkers strangely enough. They were more vocal before taking shotgun blasts to the face.
I think the shield generator fiasco would benefit from a similar mindset as the commando nerf. Maybe they could eventually add a melee focused shield alternative. So high hp, but only catches melee hits, or it could have a thorns effect or something.
They need to put resistance meters in game. There are 22,000 people on Pandion 24 and 7000 people on Geallivare right now. They've been there awhile without progress. I feel like no one checks the companion app. Tbh, I don't expect them to. I feel like very few people actually know about planet health regeneration. Great video btw. 👍
Finally! Nothing more annoying to see 4 helldivers with basically the exact same loadouts everytime. And if you saw someone using something else you just knew they will be struggling.
Used to take 6 hits from the smallest bug to kill you, now they can kill with 2-3. The reason they didn’t say how much more damage we take to the body now is because they know it’s over 50%.
@@JarinXeno That’s the arrowhead way, anything they know you’re going to have an issue with is a “slight adjustment” with no number value. I mean there literally no reason a small bug can take half my health and give an arm injury, they’re not even tall enough to attack your arms.
Same here I thought we was playing extreme turned out to be on challenging we were killed with one or two swipes by bugs last night. And bug breach after bug breach.
Since the flames got updated, I just go Flamethorower + Orbital Napalm + Eagle Napalm + Orbital Laser, I take any armor with the fire-resistant passive and (if I had them lol), I’d bring the Flam-66 and the Crisper as the primary and secondary. And don’t forget incendiary grenades!
The game is back on its best peak! WE’RE SO BACK BABY! This is what we want the game to be Edit: I never left, my loyalty stands with Super Earth and our goddess Lady Democracy
Felt really good coming back. I loaded up with my classic (Slugger, Arch Thrower, Mortar turret, Assault turret, and Orbital laser) - I dropped in SOLO. I haven't played in months, Stunning the Hulk and watching the Arch thrower bounce through an entire troop of Automatons 55 meters away is amazing.. YES, the bots have tremendous accuracy, They can hit you across the map at such a far range. I ran so far and still found laser and rocket fire flying behind my back. it is scary!!! The huge Laser cannon buildings can see you from quite a distance too! - So good with the power of the weapons.. I survived with one Helldiver left..
I must say, another thing that is back is "lore reasons" for bugs and fixes (the shield backpacks being from Brasch's stash). It used to be a common thing but it disappeared at some point with the nerfs (call it a storytelling nerf lol)
Honestly, I'm thinking this major order is a test. They're seeing how many concurrent players there are post buff over a week, and will adjust future major orders accordingly. What they're using as a baseline, however, is beyond me.
I admit it. He got me. I thought you were crazy. The game is amazing again. I died the first 3 times I used a 500 because the explosion is way way beyond what you think it is and certainly what it used to be. Destroys all. So good
Don't ever give the keys to the people who was balancing the game before. They were terrible and should be banned from doing so for any game for the rest of their lives
In bugville it's not just that titans can sneak up on you silently, they also sometimes do some sort of charge and move much faster, like other bugs have been doing too. I died in a mission yesterday twice to backstabbing titans.
I had a few times yesterday that I was working on a terminal and would turn around to see a charger just strolling up to me without making a sound. Their new stealth attack is crazy.
İf you're on surfaces with different elevation, I think the titan tries to attack 10m ahead of itself and that leads to it stomping way further than it should be with the elevation
My loadouts change depending on mission type as well as enemies and difficulty and so on but most of my stuff stays relatively the same, save the primary. For bots I use the Eruptor, that Deagle pistol (forgot the name) and the Commando and since the update, Thermite stick grenades for those Hulks and tanks with a 500kg for added backup. For bugs I've been rocking the Cookout shotgun with grenade pistol for those bug wholes as well as the Commando for long distance annihilation of spore shrooms, Shrieker nests and so on with the 380mm for those largers nests. The other strategems I switch around a lot. I like to mix those up for flavor but those are my typical loadouts for bots and bugs. Love your content and love the update. We do take more damage from tiny enemies than I would like but the overall experience is so much better and I've been able to convince some friends to come back to it and made some new diving buddies while playing on my own in public play. We're back!
I'm totally stoked to be finally killing all enemies more easily but I must disagree with buzz about the hulk bruiser. The enemy needs to have SOMETHING that's a huge threat to throw at you other than just sheer numbers. When I see a factory strider or a bruiser I think "better be careful, time to get my game face on" and I like it.
We are so back! Has anyone else noticed that there seem to be more enemies / more enemy aggression though, or is it just me? Not a complaint! Just speculation. Also, our pet spore cloud is growing nicely.
I've played it a couple of rounds, it felt good the fun was back. I can't say yet if it was as good as launch but it was at least a massive step in the right direction. However original at launch HD2 was unstable crashing my machine, it got more stable over time and got rock solid with patches, but when the patrols got reverted it started crashing again and if anything it's worse now. So I think when they reverted things they reintroduced some old bugs.
To the helldiver who doubted the flamethrower's return to glory: ye had little faith. Second point, now my flamethrower has been returned and better than ever! The flame of the stars shall one again bathe the enemies in holy fire! Lastly, We're back gentleman!
One thing that I would love to see would be for ArrowHead to replace the new Hulk Bruiser gun with a solid laser. Heck, I would love to see any automaton unit use a solid laser. It is so weird that we don't have a single one that does that yet.
@@azewrath apparently you didn't even get the joke... *the workers made godmode shields en masse* *they then killed the workers for doing that...* now that i literally explained the joke.... do you understand? you obviously only skimmed my comment unlike me with the video.... what you said is literally what i said... how would it be i could make such a joke without already knowing they fixed it?
My son and i are having such a great time trying new load outs amd stratagems. We did notice tsking a lot more damage and a HUGE increase in the number of bugs spawning all over the map. But were having an amazing time. Love thermite grenades.
Great Vid LtBuzz as always, just curious has anyone experienced the new defense layout. Its really dope its exactly how i feel most of the missions for it should be like
My loadout is "fast and furious." You got to rock the (my opinion) best armor in the game *B-24 Enforcer Primary Arc-12 Blitzer, secondary is Granade pistol and stun granades. Strats Commando, shield generator pack,A/MG Machine gun sentry and orbital airburst and in my yellow soft experimental infusion. Have a good one, bud!
So this is a ranger build, equipped best against heavy armor but evens out with crowd control and bunker busting. Armor: steel trooper(or equivalent) with Kodiak helmet and tyrant hunter cape if you wanna see my drip. Blitzer primary for crowd control and telling spewers no, secondary nade pistol for bug holes or bots that need a stun, and impact nades for quick enemy dps or busting holes. 500kg because the blast radius is yes, orbital rail gun for armor, quasar for more armor, and finally the rover because you might as well bring your own “covering fire.” Best against armor and the play style you wanna adopt is either a roamer who knows how to kite enemies or a front line support. Works best on front line as anti-armor/anti-flank.
I like how you bring up the sound. Prior to this patch I couldn't hear rare samples, but I could hear big enemies and all that. Now I can hear the rare samples, but enemies just run me over like a freight train without a sound. I'd rather not hear the rare samples again >.>
I suppose it compliments the crossbow/ballistic shield combo. I had noticed the hulk shooting yesterday and I got scared. Had me questioning if they always did that lol
Glad to see I wasn't hallucinating about the higher damage enemies seem to be doing now. I was using the injury resistance modifier on solo runs yesterday, and one tap from the little terminid nugget guys was still taking out a limb and forcing a stim.
I really like how they play off invincibility bug as "Shield Generator Pack from General Brasch's personal stash", it adds up to the lore of General Brasch being the strongest helldiver alongside John Helldiver
I played Helldivers 2 with a friend yesterday night and we talk about the update and had loads of fun on the new update and were both happy as hell couse WERE BACK BABY! and we are dishing out the pain ones more!
It's a positive update for sure, but I'm glad you're echoing my feelings as well. Good fixes, but also oversights. Hulks getting bunker-level guns WITH ROF increases and a faction-wide increase in accuracy is absolutely horrendous, and shield devs weren't even touched. I do think it curious they gave us the actual numbers for the Railgun and the Arc Thrower, and yet as I was using an arc thrower with my teammate on one singular charger, and it died a couple minutes later after constant hits, I think they did something negative with durable damage. Both the Railgun and Arc Thrower do not feel like the promised weapons we were supposed to get against the big boys, and I'm still trying to figure out why. Bile Titans going down in 6 full-charge Railgun shots to the head is nice that we can do this now, but... That's a little much for the numbers they promised us. Glad Anti-tanks are where they should be though
I’m happy for you guys; it was rough what they put us through. I’m still a little salty. So I’m just gonna give it some more time. Whether for Super Earth or the Emperor, we are all still brothers.
The nostalgia of being powerful again after all this time was the icing in the cake, my love for the Erupter was finally getting it's unique playstyle then any of the weapons. Weapon: Eruptor, Dagger and thermite grenade Strategem: napalm airstrike, orbital railgun, quasar cannon, guard dog. (the Liberator dog)
I agree with your suggestions, especially the finderscope on the laser cannon. It's the same sucky scope as with the AC, and it honestly makes it harder to aim in FPP than in TPP. My suggestion is to do away with the finderscope on the laser cannon altogether. It's basically a giant laser pointer anyway. I'd like to see changed for the AC though :D Also, I think enemies that swipe at you horizontally register multiple hits (as in on both legs and so on) which causes these damage spikes. I haven't paid too much attention though, as I'm hella rusty and have too much fun experimenting with all the weapons that have been buffed.
Buzz, you’re underrated man. Your production value, consistency, dedication, and respect you show to gaming as well as your fan base has not gone unnoticed. We dive so humanity survives. Keep rocking in the free world brother.
The damage we take now is crazy. Constantly getting obliterated by bot from a single shot when before you could take some fire from them and dive so you didn’t get killed. Seems the machine gun devs are super bad and anything on an emplacement. Tried to bring this up on the discord yesterday and got mocked like I was the only one who was experiencing it. Glad you brought it up. I roll mostly with the grenade launcher, having and extra mag is amazing. With the backpack you have 150 shots. Insane. Take spray and pray now for bugs, still dominator for bots. Mix it up with the strategems but the 500kg is fun again
My HD2 builds change regularly, but I’m currently running one of these: Armour: SA-04 Combat Technician. Booster: Experimental Infusion. Against the Bots, it’s either: Bots 1: (1) AR-23C Liberator Concussive. (2) SG-22 Bushwhacker. (3) G-13 Incendiary Impact. (4) Orbital EMS Strike. (5) Orbital Gas Strike. (6) Orbital Gatling Barrage. (7) AC-8 Autocannon. or Bots 2: (1) R-36 Eruptor. (2)-(6) as Bots 1. (7) M-105 Stalwart. Against the Bugs, it’s either: Bugs 1: (1) SG-225 Breaker. (2) GP-31 Grenade Pistol. (3)-(6) as Bots 1 & 2. (7) AC-8 Autocannon. or Bugs 2: (1) R-36 Eruptor. (2)-(6) as Bugs 1. (7) M-105 Stalwart. I’m not gonna claim they’re perfect, as I’m very much enthusiasm over ability, but I am having fun with them though. 🪲🔫🤖🔫😃
Here's a new loadout I been having fun with for bugs: Med Armor + Engineering Kit Primary: Breaker S&P Secondary: Grenade Pistol Throwable: Thermite Strat 1: Shield Generator Backpack Strat 2: Heavy MG Strat 3: Gatling Barrage Strat 4: Eagle Rocket Pods If you like being in the fray and scrapping like me, you'll enjoy this. You have an option for everything.
On the Laser Canon, I COMPLETELY AGREE! 🤙🧐 I rocked an all lasers loadout, which was amazing! But aiming at the larger targets at distance, was pretty rough
The hulks having the bunker turret cannons aren't that bad. Unlike the bunker turret, the hulk actually misses and doesn't instant see and lock onto you.
My brother in freedom. There is only one thing to do now.... SPREAD DEMOCRACYYYYYYY!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Praise be to the balance gods and to Super Earth!!
For my loadout against bugs, I use any armor with medkit on it, Torcher, Grenade Pistol, Thermite Grenede for the base of it. Railgun, Eagle Napalm, Orbital Gas & Laser Guard Dog for Strats. For booster use stim enhancement. Use a mix of thermites and railgun for heavy targets, which allows you freedom to use crowd control with everything else. You'll always have gas strike ready for a natural spawning bug hole, so don't forget to use it and use it often. Combined with eagle napalm and it is beautiful. Don't have to worry about setting yourself on fire because of the stim duration, but you do want to dive at some point to take it out.

The EAT is now performing as advertised in the opening cinematic!!!
(Correction it’s the recoiless rifle, Ty for the correction @xipheros, got a little excited when shooting bile titans in the face with one EAT with the new update.)
The eat makes me so happy in this update! Head-shotting a bile titan striding in the distance and having to go down instantly is an amazing feeling!
I always thought it was recoiless in the intro
That's the recoiless. BUT did you notice we don't have a vertical foregrip on the liberator but they do?
Nice. Finally time to try some of the weapons we shelved as "can't be used".
The Spray & Pray is actually awesome now. Just thought I'd mention that.
Agreed. However, do you find it quite frustrating when bugs are literally right next to you? It feels awkward to hit when bugs are at your feet
@@OliTaylor I did notice that was a bit more difficult, but I didn't have too many issues. Just aimed low. Not having shots angled down also explains why it's harder to hit armored enemies low like the hive guards.
Unfortunately, many weapons have these bonuses with very small values because each one has different values, which makes many of them feel terrible.
it needs more dmg and less charge time but maybe they will keep buffing stuff
hopefully it's in their next batch of balance changes at the end of the 60 day plan!!
lets hope that 2nd patch will buff the rest cause this one was just a first part of em all
Give it a bit of time.
Not to mention, a lot of weapons and stratagems have remained untouched since launch or since they were added to the game...
yes but better late than never nothing is perfect
Well, at least they go down just as easy now. Used to have to land five shots from amr before, now it only takes two

LFG! Been playing since release, we were off the rails for a while but WE'RE BACK BABY!!!! HURRAH!!!
Idk man, game feels a bit easier now tbh even with increase in damage taken.
Amazing update and I do agree with you with the damage because a single warrior should not be doing this much damage against my 200 armour rating heavy suit
Eh, strong weapons, squishy humans - I like it. We have enough firepower now - just don't let anyone near
Was never a fan of it. It didn't seem to do much damage to the enemies but always managed to kill me when it was trying to shoot a bug next to me.
I love this game and this man for all the ways he puts both the games and his community up for everyone to see
Keep making great stuff buz
I mean he makes all this content even when the game was dieing
Bugs can one shot you a lot more ways now and all but the tiniest can one shot you.

@@Commander_ZiN Exactly. It wasn't like it wasn't doable. It was just unfun having to run around having to lead a stream of enemies behind you basically non-stop. They either ninja-nerfed the orbital strike or the increased front armor of tanks somehow can shrug off front-angled orbital strikes now, perhaps unintentionally. I've religiously used OS's since launch (300+ hours) so I can definitely tell something's up.
They said that tank frontal armor received a buff
They likely buffed the enemy. My favorite AR is worthless now more than ever. Deleted the game, im done with nerf divers. Ya'll enjoy the gaslight rollercoaster
Periodic drops of epic god-tier weapons or strats AND enemy modifiers for specific mission intervals would be a great way to keep the game fresh as well as test out alternative balance solutions in the future.
We're not back to a 100 percent yet, they still havent reverted the nerf to the incindiary breaker yet but this is a step in the right direction

What do you know? Buffing multiple weapons has miraculously made me want to try out ALL of them and change up my load out from mission to mission, which is what AH wanted from the start. Crazy how that works!
Right? Almost like buffing the bad weapons is the way to go instead of nerfing the most used weapons to the ground. What a crazy concept that is! xD
Now that the game is back to feeling better, melee is absolutely what I'll be asking for next, such a huge missed opportunity
Tested out a bunch of primaries and load outs last night, and I actually feel like I have some options now. It's nice to not NEED to go meta anymore.
Yeah, I couldn't take a single bug hit without getting an injury to the arm or leg yesterday, it was super annoying.
@@JarinXeno That’s the arrowhead way, anything they know you’re going to have an issue with is a “slight adjustment” with no number value. I mean there literally no reason a small bug can take half my health and give an arm injury, they’re not even tall enough to attack your arms.

I haven't played in months, Stunning the Hulk and watching the Arch thrower bounce through an entire troop of Automatons 55 meters away is amazing.. The huge Laser cannon buildings can see you from quite a distance too! - So good with the power of the weapons.. I survived with one Helldiver left..
The new aim of the bots is very problematic. If they encircle you is game over many times
I must say, another thing that is back is "lore reasons" for bugs and fixes (the shield backpacks being from Brasch's stash). It used to be a common thing but it disappeared at some point with the nerfs (call it a storytelling nerf lol)
This is the escalation of freedom patch update that we deserve
Honestly, I'm thinking this major order is a test. They're seeing how many concurrent players there are post buff over a week, and will adjust future major orders accordingly. What they're using as a baseline, however, is beyond me.
Dude my new favorite sidearm is the Dagger
I admit it.
Had a game yesterday where I thought I was untouchable. Now I’m pretty sure I just had one of those shields 😂
We're back!
Looks like I'll have to get back to the frontlines...

Primary Arc-12 Blitzer, secondary is Granade pistol and stun granades.
Strats
Commando, shield generator pack,A/MG Machine gun sentry and orbital airburst and in my yellow soft experimental infusion.
Loved the intro! You're so right about the new hulk lazer cannon. I miss the rockets (never thought I'd say that)
I like how you bring up the sound. Prior to this patch I couldn't hear rare samples, but I could hear big enemies and all that. Now I can hear the rare samples, but enemies just run me over like a freight train without a sound. I'd rather not hear the rare samples again >.>
10:51 I don’t mind the lasers, makes you think before just running out lol
I suppose it compliments the crossbow/ballistic shield combo. I had noticed the hulk shooting yesterday and I got scared. Had me questioning if they always did that lol
The problem is the sound issue mentioned. I'm already busy looking for reinforced strider and their 1 hit rockets.
Weapon: Eruptor, Dagger and thermite grenade
Strategem: napalm airstrike, orbital railgun, quasar cannon, guard dog.
My HD2 builds change regularly, but I’m currently running one of these:
Armour: SA-04 Combat Technician. Booster: Experimental Infusion.
Against the Bots, it’s either:
Bots 1:
(1) AR-23C Liberator Concussive.
(2) SG-22 Bushwhacker.
(3) G-13 Incendiary Impact.
(4) Orbital EMS Strike.
(5) Orbital Gas Strike.
(6) Orbital Gatling Barrage.
(7) AC-8 Autocannon.
or Bots 2:
(1) R-36 Eruptor.
(2)-(6) as Bots 1.
(7) M-105 Stalwart.
Against the Bugs, it’s either: Bugs 1:
(1) SG-225 Breaker.
(2) GP-31 Grenade Pistol.
(3)-(6) as Bots 1 & 2.
(7) AC-8 Autocannon.
or Bugs 2:
(1) R-36 Eruptor.
(2)-(6) as Bugs 1.
(7) M-105 Stalwart.
I’m not gonna claim they’re perfect, as I’m very much enthusiasm over ability, but I am having fun with them though. 🪲🔫🤖🔫😃
Here's a new loadout I been having fun with for bugs:
Med Armor + Engineering Kit
Primary: Breaker S&P
Secondary: Grenade Pistol
Throwable: Thermite
Strat 1: Shield Generator Backpack
Strat 2: Heavy MG
Strat 3: Gatling Barrage
Strat 4: Eagle Rocket Pods
If you like being in the fray and scrapping like me, you'll enjoy this. You have an option for everything.
On the Laser Canon, I COMPLETELY AGREE! 🤙🧐
I rocked an all lasers loadout, which was amazing!
Something they did with the limbs taking damage feels broken.
Don’t mean to brag but, I got 14 kills with a 500kg yesterday so ya, I’M THINKIN WE’RE BACK BABY!!
