We had a flood last year that knocked the power out for 3 days and I used my powerbank to power up the wifi router and my macbook used battery to check the weather and how the road conditions were and general knowledge of what was going on in the area. I put my 16 inch M1 Max macbook pro into low power mode and it lasted about 18 hours of just checking weather & local news and letting my nieces and nephews watch some movies I had on an external SSD.

I have a MacBook air 15", i might be doing something wrong coz my MacBook only lasts me for my work day with about 18% left by the night, I start my work from around 9 am and get done by 6 / 7 pm, the battery life is very good no doubt but I think if you are doing a desk job and that means using your MacBook for prolong period of hours, then you should definitely carry your charger, plus there are no bricks so it is much more easier to carry. 10/10 recommended to go for it, in the Indian market it is very expensive and if you go for apple care + it will cost one lakh sixty thousand rupees all and all, but totally worth it.

this was a good, honest review. Most reviewers seem to think that people using a basically configured entry level Mac will use them the way they do: Edit videos, software development, photoshop & playing games. Those are actually the very things I never use my 15" Mac Air for. I'm very satisfied with mine. Does everything I wanted and expected. I wonder how many people were convinced to upgrade memory and SSDs to the point where it would have been better to just buy a MacBook Pro - just to watch RUclips, write emails, surf the web and use Word? That is what this machine is intended for. I came from a lifetime of Windows and it has disgusted me what it was turning into. The Apple system of hardware and software is a huge breath of fresh air. I wish I made the jump years ago. Don't let stupid stereotypes cloud your judgement.

The longevity of these batteries starts to drop off after about a year, I know that personally and have had it confirmed by friends. Out of the box brand new yes, but don't expect it to perform the same after a year. I'm hoping that when it comes to it I can change the battery myself, I'm not keen on driving to the nearest Apple store over forty miles away, sending it away or paying their extortionate fees.

Out of the box I was _'dazzled'_ by the performance but not so much today. The reason I left the comment is simply to remind the reader that the video is demonstrating the performance of a brand new battery... that i*n my experience* shall wane after about a year.

Never realized how much Touch Bar was a gimmick beacause I no longer have to look ar my keyboard to change my volume. • @jihadrouani5525

While on the surface this might seem like a more useful review than the typical syntactic benchmarks it's actually not, people don't spend $1300 to browse Twitter for 20 minutes and listen to music and answer emails, iPad or more cheaper laptops can also do that, thin and light laptops are used for much more than that, watching movies/TV series, managing your business, playing games when time allows for that... Those tasks are more likely to be what people would do when they pay $1300+, and they were not present here, all you did here was some super light tasks that already take no battery life on phones, and you did them on a laptop for like few minutes/hours per day. So this is not a real-world review, it's a fantasy where people pay premium prices to scroll through Twitter and Gmail...

I just got my MBP 14 m2 yesterday, but I’m kinda doubting my decision when I see this 😅. Its a powerhouse, but it kinda feels like I’m using a ferrari to get some groceries 😂. 95% of my usabe is normal web use and entertainment, and the lighter weight, extra screen size/battery life of the MBA 15 look really good… Especially the thickness of the 14 is kinda a bummer. Makes it feel a bit outdated and less comfortable for typing.

Are you still running the non-beta software on it? I have Sonoma beta 3 (now 4) on mine and I ran it to 33% today in one day with RUclips playing non-stop all day.

Did you just kept it sleeping while not using it or did you turn it off for some time like for the night, for example?

    I have two questions:
    1. Did you have the low power mode activated? It saves a lot of battery especially for simple tasks and limits the CPU performance of the M2 by just 30%.
    2. In what kind of a dreary and barren hole did you resided? It looks like a hospital in the former Soviet Union.
