  • This is how I pack my entire Scuba Gear for Tropical diving/vacations and bring it along as Carry-On for Plane trips.
    -- Duffle Bag by The North Face
    Size: Small (50Litres)
    -- Gear: ScubaPro Hydros BCD with Air2, Seawing nova Fins, MK25evo/S600 Reg, Tusa Freedom HD mask, Mantis 2 dive watch/computer.
    -- I'd also be able to fit a beach towel and a few other smaller items like iPads, Phones, Flip flops, Wallets & Snacks.
    Thanks for Watching \ooo/

    Please share some information about that North Face duffel backpack. L x W x H and its capacity in L. Many fins are too long for an acceptable airline carry on bag. Thank you.

      I'm in the same boat Paul. Looking at buying the hydros pro but my large seawing fins puts me over the limit length wise. Trying to find a good bag for traveling but my upcoming trip is half land and half scuba so I need to take an equal amount of dry clothes. Like I'm looking at the ebags motherload 29" which has a divider and a bottom section that "should" hold my bcd, fins, and wetsuit as well as have a divider to keep my clothes seperate from salt, sand, leftover dampness, and smell (hopefully). Downer. That hydros pro bag is an awesome idea but doesn't work with most fins unless you count the small ones they use in the video. Plus, if you are doing a day dive that bag barely holds the gear dry let alone trying to fit it all in with a water logged wetsuit. That would be hard to pack up on a dive boat.

      Its the Small size Duffle bag (50L) and my fins are the Medium size, they are shorter than previous fins I've owned. Dimensions of duffle are H32.5cm x W53cm x D32.5cm

    Any reason for not using the travel bag supplied with the hydros pro? Just curious because that is the bcd I am looking at getting.

      Hi there, yes i travelled with the supplied hydros bag but its very flimsy and has no structure whereas I find this North Face bag sturdy and tough.

      The fins would also have to be stored externally on the Hydros bag.

      I bought it online at a website I've since forgotten, but its called a 'Zulu strap' and if you use google you will be able to find plenty of retailers, if you wear a wetsuit make sure its a longer strap.

    For all the people calling me "ignorant" I've got one for you. I was certified in 1975 and the term "octo" in it's original meaning meant your first stage with multiple hoses attached, not just your back up regulator. AND a BCD was called a BC, I don't know who in the F added the "D". You see most rec divers had a main reg and did oral inflate of their BC. with no back up reg. My COMMENT above was meant to say "where in the fuck are your regs?" I used the term "octo" in it's original usage . So I used the term "octo" because that's the way it was used when I was first certified. What my point was - where if the heck are your regs? You're saying your packed all nicely and ready to go but where are your regs?

    • @RetroDiver
      @RetroDiver 2 года назад

      His regs were scaled down to a first stage, a primary, and I believe one HP hose. I'm assuming his other LP hose is on his BC, and his backup 2nd stage is part of the oral inflator.

    What crap. Has a set of regs with no gauges or octopus. Takes this sleeveless wetsuit jacket thing and boardies, which is great if your diving a warm water location for a weekend. Useless advice otherwise, unless he intends hiring all the other stuff, like a weight belt, flashlight, etc

      What is crap about it?? This is how I dive when I travel overseas you halfwit. I have a wireless setup so I DON'T need any gauges, you halfwit! And when I dive, LDS supply weights, every diver knows that, you halfwit! I live in a warm country and I only dive tropical holidays too. @@RetroDiver I don't have weight pockets on my bcd as I don't really use weights but if I do need it I've always put 1 weight on my tank strap which works a treat.
