Hello Jerry. For us there is no issue with bad kits bad accuracy bad everything we can always work around a tight budget and a few resourcefulness and voila! But good retooled kits is always the best. If only i have that budget in my wallet. :) Thanks for dropping by mate. Hope to see you again.
Well, ITT....there is a positive in the destruction of a crappy kit....you don't feel so bad giving it the destroyed look as opposed to doing the same to a not-so-crappy kit. The end result is a terrific vignette, well executed, telling a story. Always a pleasure seeing what you do with the minimum amount of items but so well.
Hello my friend Robbo. The Mini Model was the best choice for the project as it was less pricey and yes crappy. I wouldn't have done it with an expensive RYE field, Meng, or other kits. Thank you so much for sticking around and supporting the Channel. Very much appreciated mate. See you again. Cheers.
Toujours plein d’admiration devant vos réalisations. Le rendu de la rouille et de la détérioration du char est plus vrai que nature. Superbe encore une fois. 👏 Bravo Yvan.
Hi Ralph Ford. You are most welcome sir. Be sure to try it first on a plastic pallette. Its a bit tricky and the results might not be to your liking. But yeah you can use it once in awhile. The key for a good paint chipping is a good hair spray brand or chpping mediumd and consider the drying time in between. ive seen great results with a dry paint coat stifled with a water soaked brush. Thank you for dropping by mate. Cheers. See you again.
Greetings Ivan, I find it hard enough to finish a kit to a decent standard, let alone build it the ' destroy' it like this, well done mate great work, best regards from Australia.
Hello Les. I'm sure you've done great work in your builds. Mini Hobby model kit was the best choice for this project. Thanks for your continued support. I always love Australia. Ive worked there for a few months some years back doing SAP. Had a chance to stay at Sydney(Chatswood) and tour Melbourne. I loved everything. Cheers mate.
Hello Lagpin. Sorry for the late reply. I am sure you can do wonders with this not so accurate and less wanted kit. But yes, nothing beats a reasonably priced kit to make it worth your while. Our hobby has so much to offer for our happiness. See you soon my friend.
Hi Graeme. So far based from my experience the actual brand or product of spray gives out a good quality chipping to a model. Also, you may want to try several 1. Wet on wet - Acrylic sprayed on a wet HS 2. Misty over wet - 1 minute HS then acrylic 3. Dry then acrylic - 2 to 5 min more or less HS drying time then acrylic. Order - large chip 2. semi chip 3. tiny chips though very hard to scrub off using a wet brush or toothpick. Give it a try on a separate styrene sheet. Thanks my friend for dropping by. Hope to see you here again.
That looks wicked. I stumbled across master box's 1/35 Ukrainian forces figures.. they have a set of named "the trophy" and its guys examining a burnt out tank, and snapping a photo with it. I think my next build is this, with the figure set.
Отличная идея, ведь всё идёт к тому, что фотографироваться украинцы перестанут... некому будет. Будет служить напоминанием. Слава России, и ее армии, и да прибудет мир во всем мире!
Hello Boss Papa Mike. Glad you mentioned that. I did not know this was the old trumpy kit. All along i thought it was another bootleg kit of an infamous brand. Great to know this. Thank you always my friend. See you soon. I am trying to do another resurrection build. This time a tamiya Sd.Kfz. 251 Ausf D. Can't really afford new kits lately so i try to muster donations of kits from friends and just rebuild them and tell another story. Cheers mate.
@@IvanTheTerrible911 I've finished my Hobby Boss GCT hovitzer based on T-72 . The same chassis from Trumpeter (sister company ) . It has some flaws but I prefer it more than old Dragon construction .
Some parts are very similar to that of Zvezda T-72B kit wich is in turn an old Dragon... The sprue with reactive armor blocks in that kit is absolutely similar to Zvezda/Dragon kit
Aww cool, I love crap models, I'm gonna have to get one of these if they are available in the UK. I haven't had so much fun since I built the Starfix "1/48???" Spitfire and Me109, they were truly awful 🤣
Hello Martin. Recenty toured the UK and i loved it. Stayed at Chester then Scotland then London. Anyways, yeah the brand is Amazing Hobby form China. Its a T-8o. Hope you find one there. See you again and thanks for visiting mate.
@@IvanTheTerrible911 Hi and thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I can only find kits by Amusing Hobby in the UK but they don't appear to have this kit so I'm assuming its an entirely different company, the Amusing Hobby kits appear to be quite expensive as well. I love making old and terrible kits, they are much more challenging than the modern "shake n bake" kits that fall together. You made a fantastic job of the burnt out tank and it is for that exact same reason that I've been looking for a diabolical and cheap tank kit, I've got a desire at the moment to have a go at something totally wrecked and its not worth spending much money for what I have in mind.
Hahahaha. Salamat Tankshot. I know you are an awesome builder as well. dont put yourself down boss. Yakang yaka mo yan. daming tutorials dito sa YT. Madaig mo pa yan.
В целом красиво! но многовато недочётов, например отсутствие ДЗ на скулах башни, там должны быть элементы крепления блоков. Побольше внимания к мелочам и тогда выглядеть будет просто пушка
Hello my friend. From the off-Scale ( a bit too large) to the plastic quality to the lack of detail to the vinyl tracks. But yeah reasonably priced and a few aftermarkets and scratch building i am sure you'll do wonders with it. Hope this helps.
That kit is so bad, it's almost comical. Other than you being out money on it. It is somewhat reminiscent of a Lindbergh kit of the 1960's. A Lindbergh kit was more of a toy for a 10 or 12 year old boy. Certainly not an accurate historical representation. I think, given that there was a scheme to motorize it; that's more of what you have here. Either that or the design engineer WAS a 12 year old boy. You had a good idea making it a wreck. Well done.
Hello Stephen my friend. The price was reasonable enough i did not think twice "wrecking, twisting and burning some parts." Ahh the joy of Cheap Miserable Kits too. Thank you for your kind words as well. I appreciate the support always. Have a great day my friend.
Hi litrentaart. Im on my last two old builds to resurrect. The Tamiya Hanomag and Panther. Yes i will be washing them soon. Thanks for dropping by my friend. See you again.
Fortunately, for modelers, there's lots of examples of this type of wrecked tank available on RUclips. And more being added daily, thanks to Ukrainian solders. And US, British, Polish, German etc weaponry. Sorry, Russia, but it's your choice.
Ivan The Terrible Background Music 🤡. As to the kit, this actually looks like a halfway decent "budget" kit that I that might consider. The absolute worst 1/35 T-72 in my and others' experience is the ESCI/ERTL T-72. Simplified, toylike (but no motorization feature 😥) devoid of details and inaccurate. Mold seams and casting irregularities like those at 1:35 are easily dealt with, with sandpaper and putty as you used later, not a big problem for me. I am most assuredly convinced this is a copy of a Tamiya T-72 because that is what Mini Hobby Models does; pirated copies of Tamiya and other high end brands.
Hello my frend. Oh yes. this was truly a budget that was worth it, at least for the fun and intended diorama. Thanks for sharing your ESCI experience. I agree with your insights. See you again soon.
All that's missing is the typical Ukrainian farmer with his tractor pulling the wreck into the ditch and clearing the road, lol. Otherwise great work! Quite amazing what you were able to achieve using that terrible kit.
Привет. Я уверен, что эти ошибки изучены и впоследствии дадут вам великолепные сборки. Доверьтесь своим навыкам. Я уверен, что вы хороший строитель. Спасибо, мой друг.
Making the best of a bad kit - thats what we modelers do! Great job 👍

For a out of the box junk, you turned it into a great looking diorama. Nice job Ivan
Hello Steven. How are things my friend? Gee thank you for your generous words. See you again soon mate.
The burnt, destroyed effect of this tank is stunning! ☺️
