Super bad ass!!! Perfect timing as I plan on building three WWII era 1:48 civilian vehicle, but want them to look blown up and caught fire of some sort. Also I just happen to have this Vallejo set too. Thanks for the demo vid!
Am very interested in not only how to weather/apply effects but how you make your various models. I believe many are kits but the building where you placed and weathered the drain pipe did not seem to be a kit. Can you explain how you made that? Thanks
No. This would be the final step in weathering process. The airbrush thinner fixes the pigment. But not to the point were you can touch it . If you seal it you will mess up the pigments. Put it up on the shelf in a case and try not to touch it
Hello Badge! This is an older video, but perhaps Jose Brito wanted specific effects on one turret and then different ones on another turret. Thank you!
Muchas gracias por tu comentario Xosé!😊 Lamentablemente no los añadimos en el pasado pero los nuevos videos (exceptuando algunos muy puntuales) son todos en un 95% de ellos en ambos idiomas :)
Outstanding technique and skill. Resulting in a fantastic effect. However, vary rarely were military vehicles in such a poor state of repair. So if wanting historical accuracy then I’d say less rust.
In real life, what actually is the cause of burn effects such as this? I think knowing thsi will help me to know when I should and when I should not use this effect.
Engine fire or ammo explosion. Try a Google search for “destroyed T-55” and you’ll find a picture of one in the Iraq war on fire with the turret engulfed in flames in the same location as the burn pattern of this one
@@richardfabrizio8998 Not really rare at all. Go look at real life pics. Tanks get hit and burned up all the time from the start all the way to present day
Did it ever cross your mind that there are beginners like me who DIDN'T know how to do anything like this? I doubt it, you just wanted to stroke your own ego.
Nice vid, but you switched models midway thru the tutorial. Confusing. The technique is about three steps too lengthy for the resulting effects, you buried about two steps in extra material, which is costly, and unnecessary.
I agree on switching turrets half way through but on the first he didnt bury effects. He layered them. If you look you can still see the grey blue, white and rust he Airbrushed on. Trust me it doesnt look right if you just put pigments over pure black base

Thanks for sharing Vallejo you have an excellent modeller onboard there with Jose Brito.
Hi Mark,
That's right, Brito is an amazing modeller, one of the best. Thank you very much for your comments.
Wow!!! Probably the best depicted burn out I've seen
thank you :)
Amazing, the look of the real thing.
Wow. I like your videos because they're all show no talk. I learn best that way. Thank you
Excellent effects - very realistic.
UNBELIVABLY REAL LOOKING! BRAVO
Amazing work, Jose!
Beautiful work! 👍🙂
Could you build a burned out or crashed aircraft using these techniques? That would be awesome!

Wow, wow, wow wow...!!! He quedado estupefacto. Felicitaciones!!!
Excellent work as usual!
Awesome job, and great video.
Hoped to see a hint more blue at the end, but marvelous. You could put this technique on a mask.
Wonderful

Fantastic
Nice
Super, Artist !!!
Merci. Pour ce tuto
thanks for this helpful video. what can you used to thin the pigments besides airbrush thinner? would matt medium work as an alternative?
I think matt medium would make it permanent
Epic work
Excellent video more please 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing
Awesome totally cool
@8:49 Vallejo putting Medal of Honor around Vallejo's neck. ;)
Would you seal the final finish in a mat varnish please. ?
No. This would be the final step in weathering process. The airbrush thinner fixes the pigment. But not to the point were you can touch it . If you seal it you will mess up the pigments. Put it up on the shelf in a case and try not to touch it
@@Adol666 Thank you, I'll give that a try .
Can I ask why you changed turrets😊

Do you mean the entire tank?
Sorry for the confusion I have changed the OP.
anyone else feel like they were walking along the Mojave desert in Fallout 1?
Nope
Excelentes videos. Aún estarían mejor, si los textos fuesen bilingües, castellano-ingles. Gracias.

Okay, so which part of "burnt out effects" did you have difficulty comprehending?
Wow! 👍🏼👍🏼

Electrical fire to name one
Very rare occurrence

Chris Griffith I agree...why did they not show the technique on the initial turret? It’s confusing and not a great tutorial.

Erm, how does a tank rust in the desert please?
Hello John, thank you for your comment! Although José uses some "orangy-reddish" pigments, the effect is burn out :)
@@vallejocolors OK
This effect is absolutely necessary, if modeling Russian tanks in the Ukrainian War! LOL
