That looks really fun. I work at one of the open pit copper mines in AZ, and am always keeping an eye out for artifacts on the native land just off our stockpiles. Only thing I have found so far is an old WF & S MIL bottle that I was able to date to being produced around 1915 to 1920. Our stockpiles up against one of the mountains are full of signs of old prospects and just general older human activity. Anywho, thanks for the fun exploration, and see ya on the next one!

You are an absolute MAD LAD. I’m glad you document this, as I am too much of a wuss to do it myself. Not to mention how dangerous it is! I live in Salida, Colorado, and there are over 1,000 abandoned and active mines within a 100 mile radius of my home. I have curiously poked my head into the portals and dug through many a tailings pile (found lots of cool stuff that way) but even if I did have the expertise to actually go inside the mines, it’s almost impossible, as most of them are flooded and blocked by large walls of ice throughout the year. These mines are 10,000 + feet in elevation in the Rocky Mountains. But the history is incredible. I have done a lot of historical recreation work to preserve the buildings, train cars, and cabins built around these mines and mining towns. There is some amazing architecture up here. I bet you would love it here. I could even give you a tour! Lol 😂

9:08 Wish I could date that but Chesterfield apparently had exactly the same pack from like 1912 into the late 1940s.
10:38 definitely looks like a passage made for a minor miner
14:23 I wasn't there staring at it in person, but are you sure that wasn't 1920? The edges of the last digit aren't pinched like the other visible 8, the 7/8 x something mark on the top right.
39:05 Rose brand, likely canned in Salem, OR by the California Packing Corp (calpack) from 1919 to the late 20's They eventually became Del Monte. It IS rare, rare enough I can barely find mention or example on google (which is why the 'likely', having to infer from similar can labels on other products, and a report of the Salem bean cannery)
39:30 Old Gold was created in 1926, and ran till today. Packs are unfiltered, looks to be pre-WWII but there's nothing to date them any tighter than that. Babe Ruth pitched (hah) these.

Congratulations on 140K and the camera work is the best in this genre. Those dynamyte boxes were in exceptional shape, but keep looking for the Acme dynamite boxes, they are highly valued by coyotes. I have finally watched you climb and shimmy into some spaces I would not go into. I doff my hard hat to you Gly.

Id would love to see the actual lighting conditions were like when the miner was digging this mine .Was it much brighter than a candle or anywhere close to your led lights . Gly youve got nerves of steel wiggling thru those tiny passages. This is the most dangerous or claustrophobic video yet.

“Gly”: This mine would have been all excavated by carbide lamps.

I find myself feeling some happy anxiety and adrenal rushes at the same time having a big smile on my face during your squirming and squeezing through the small holes🙈

Randy was saying what we were all thinking. That was a little crazy! It got my anxiety up!

@19:30 I felt really uncomfortable watching this. I'm glad you didn't get stuck. This is a cool mine.

Gly, you had me on the edge of my seat! I was nervous as heck while you crawled around through that tight squeeze. You are amazing and brave I wish I had it in me to do what you do. Thank you for bringing everyone the footage that you do. C. Warren
